It was a beautiful morning in the Great Barrier Reef. There was no school for today.
Marlin sleepily but surely woke up and stirred up slowly while Nemo was sleeping soundly in a cuddle. Marlin smiled and nudged his son gently. Feeling the nudge, Nemo moaned and slowly opened his eyes.
"Morning, dad!" Nemo said.
"Good morning, Nemo," Marlin replied,
"Ready to go to the park? Your friends Sheldon, Tad and Pearl are coming to play, along with ours to get the BBQ set up."
Andrea, Nemo's sister; Marlin and Dory's daughter, stirred up and cheered,
"Park! Park!"
"Yay! Will our other friends come, too?" Nemo asked cheerfully.
"Of course! Let's wake Dory first," Marlin said with a smile.
Nemo and Andrea nodded and followed his father to the corral where Dory was still sound asleep in. As they nudged her, Dory stirred and yawned as she woke up.
"Good morning, boys!" Dory said cheerfully,
"And you, too, little girl!"
She tickled Andrea's face, which caused her daughter to giggle.
"How did you sleep?" Marlin asked kindly.
"It was good!" Dory said,
"How about you?"
"Same," Nemo replied.
Then, the two clownfish, Andrea and Dory got themselves cleaned up. After that, Nemo, Marlin and Dory swam out together.
Later...
As Nemo, Marlin and Dory caught up to Sheldon, Tad and Pearl, along with their fathers, Bill, Bob and Ted, they began their day in the park.
Once Nemo, Andrea, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl start playing, they noticed the Tank Gang coming.
"Hey, Gill!" Nemo called.
"Hi, Sharkbait!" Gill replied back.
"Nemo!" Trixie, Bubbles and Deb's daughter, called as she held her little cousin Mal, Gill and Peach's daughter.
"Hi, Trixie!" Nemo, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl called back.
Andrea giggled in greet.
"Hello, dears!" Deb told everyone.
"Hello, Deb!" Marlin said as he swam to the Tank Gang.
"How's everything?" Dory asked cheerfully.
"Perfect as usual," Bubbles responded.
"We have been wanting to join you guys," Peach said.
Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques nodded in agreement while chuckling.
Moments went by, the kids played a treasure hunt game around the park, while their parents are talking with each other.
As Nemo was searching for the hidden treasure, he noticed a colorful, pearly necklace made of treasury opals. Nemo surely looked at the nametag, and didn't notice until now. The opal necklace had belonged to Pearl!
The old necklace was laid on the ground, and that's for Pearl! How should I tell her? he thought.
"Hey, Nemo!" Nemo heard Trixie call for him.
As Nemo hurriedly found the treasure, he took it and the opal necklace with him.
"Hey, pal, what's taking so long?" Tad asked.
"You're almost late!" Sheldon added.
"Sorry," Nemo replied as he gave his friends the treasure box.
"Wow, you found it!" Trixie said.
Mal was squealing for joy, but noticed Andrea being a bit fussy. Mal took her in her fins and swam quickly. As Mal gave Andrea to her uncle Marlin and aunt Dory, the two felt thankful and began feeding Andrea right away. Once Mal swam back, she spotted a treasure revealed like her friends saw: an opal necklace.
"Wow!" Sheldon, Tad, Trixie and Mal said in unison.
But Pearl stood very stiff. Nemo reacted and asked,
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Pearl slowly took her opal necklace with her and saw her name that was on the tag. She felt less tears and told Nemo,
"Is this... my necklace?"
Nemo blushed, but surely nodded.
"It is. I wonder when was the time you left it there," he replied.
Trixie, Mal, Sheldon and Tad felt confused at the same time.
"What is Nemo doing?" Trixie whispered.
"I dunno, some sort of love or something?" Sheldon asked.
"I think Nemo and Pearl are gonna be meant for each other," Tad chimed in.
Pearl felt overjoyed as she noticed the opal necklace belonging to her, and squealed,
"Nemo, I can't believe it. You found my old necklace!"
As Pearl excitedly hugged Nemo, she called,
"Dad!"
Hearing the voice, Marlin, Bill, Bob and Ted approached to the scene, leaving Dory, Andrea and the Tank Gang members in charge of the BBQ dinner party.
"I found my necklace! This is all thanks to Nemo!" Pearl cheered.
Trixie, Mal, Sheldon and Tad chuckled nervously in agreement as they blushed.
"Nemo, wow! I never saw that coming! How did you—" Marlin tried to finish his sentence.
"I know that. Pearl left it here when she was sort of 6 through 9 years old," Ted cut off with a chuckle, and swam to his daughter with comfort.
"Nemo, I wanted to thank you so much for finding my daughter's old necklace."
"Oh, it's no problem at all, Mr. Ted! I didn't know until now," Nemo replies.
Marlin, Bill and Bob felt awed at that moment. Trixie, Mal, Sheldon and Tad felt the same way.
"Wow, Pearl really likes Nemo," Marlin said.
"Yep! Looks like they both have slight crushes on each other," Bill chuckled.
Bob chuckled as well, so did Ted, who felt awed that his daughter was starting to have a slight crush on Nemo.
As the rest went back to the BBQ area, Dory, Andrea and the Tank Gang got the dinners ready.
Once they ate up, Marlin, Bill, Bob and Ted told Dory and the Tank Gang what happened. Dory and the Tank Gang felt shocked and now awed at the same time.
As Nemo mannerly handed Pearl the opal necklace, she slowly took it from him and put it around her neck above her flapjack tentacles.
Pearl looked at Nemo cutely, which caused him to blush while looking at her as well. As a result, Pearl hugged Nemo. Blushing even redder, Nemo returned the hug to Pearl. Andrea, Trixie, Mal, Sheldon and Tad cheered for joy. Marlin, Dory, Bill, Bob, Ted and the Tank Gang felt much more awed than ever.
In the night...
It was getting late since midnight. The moonlight shone through the ocean slides.
Nemo, Marlin, Dory and the Tank Gang bid Sheldon, Tad, Pearl and their parents goodbye. But before they left, Pearl gives Nemo a soft kiss. Nemo blushed again with a smile.
After that, she left with her friends and their parents.
Then, Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Andrea and the Tank Gang bid each other goodnight, exchanging hugs and handshakes with their fins, going straight to their own neighborhoods.
Going back to one of their own neighborhood, Dory placed Andrea with Nemo and Marlin to sleep with; then, she swam to her corral and fell fast asleep. Nemo nuzzled his sister Andrea with passion as he fell right to sleep. Marlin smiled as he reassured his kids and now was asleep.
Meanwhile, in the other neighborhood, the Tank Gang got themselves situated to bed. Gurgle, Bloat and Jacques were sleeping together; Gill and Peach slept soundly together with Mal in their arms; and finally, Bubbles and Deb slept soundly together, while Trixie slept peacefully in her own den.
All the fish slept nice and soundly as the reef ocean view got very silent, quiet and peaceful at night.
