A/N: Hey guys! This is my first story here and I decided to write a hopefully long-term fic about the most intriguing Yu-Gi-Oh in my opinion; ARC-V. Like many people, I didn't enjoy some aspects of ARC-V, which I will try to rectify here. I will use OC's but only a limited amount. This story will likely add more characters from GX, 5Ds, ZEXAL. I don't make or use custom cards but card recommendations for specific characters are welcome. But enough with the formalities. Let's get into it!
Scale 1: It's Showtime!
Born from the discovery of implementing mass into Solid Vision, Action Duels! Duels where the field, monsters and Duelists become one, pulling the crowd into a maelstrom of crazed excitement!
It appears to be night time at a dojo where falling petals decorate the environment.
"Alright Yuya enough fooling around!" Noboru Gongenzaka, a rather large teenager with black hair styled in a pompadour and wearing an undersized red jacket over a buttoned white coat and white pants, is engaged in a duel.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, will sacrifice my Superheavy Samurai Blue Brawler and Superheavy Samurai Swordsman to summon Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei in defense mode!"
The two existing Samurai on his field were sacrificed as his Big Benkei appeared on the field.

"Now come on Yuya! Duel the man Gongenzaka one on one!" Gongenzaka wanted a serious duel with his friend Yuya. He hardly ever saw him get serious in a duel over the last 3 years. He instead prioritized the entertainment of the audience over whether he won or not.
As he waited to see Yuya's next move, Yuya came up from behind one of the buildings riding a Pink hippo with a top hat and a pink vest.
"Okay Gongenzaka, but first let's have a little fun as I'll be activating my spell card Hippo Carnival to summon 3 Hippo Tokens!"
(Hippo Tokens / LV 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0)
The three colorful hippos appeared and began to dance prompting Yuya to dance with them.
"Hey! These hippos know how to have a good time!"
"Is this a joke?" Gongenzaka asked, not seeing the fun side of Yuya's "dueltaining".
Meanwhile, in a control room, Yuzu watched the duel through a glass screen as she was at the controls of the ARC system.
"Ugh… Yuya quit goofing around!" Yuzu yelled at Yuya, causing her to accidentally slam her hand on the keyboard which resulting in sparks flying out of it.
As if on cue Shuzo, Yuzu's father, burst through the door looking at Yuzu and the broken keyboard. "What's going on Yuzu?" he asked looking confused at his daughter and the broken console.
"Oh um, just a little mishap," She said as concerned as her father.
"If the Arc system breaks Solid Vision will vanish along with my hot-blooded teaching!"
As the console continued to produce smoke and spark, a young blue-haired boy, along with his mother, was watching Yuya's dueling with interest. Yuya continued to dance but Solid Vision finally collapsed, causing all the buildings and monsters to disappear. With no ground beneath his feet to stand on, Yuya fell to the floor prompting laughter from the boy watching him.
CLASSROOM - YOU SHOW DUEL SCHOOL
"I CAN'T TEACH WITH PASSION!"
Shuzo was in the middle of having a breakdown over the destruction of their Solid Vision system.
"Our action duels rely on the Solid Vision system and we scared away the one student who wanted to apply. At this rate You Show is going to be bankrupt!" He wallowed in despair on the couch.
"Aww, I would have been able to entertain that boy a little more if Yuzu didn't break the system!" Yuya remarked.
"I wouldn't have gotten distracted if you weren't messing around like that" Yuzu was as frustrated as Gongenzaka that Yuya wasn't taking dueling seriously.
"Also look at me when I'm talking to you!" Yuzu yelled while attempting to hit Yuya with a paper fan which he dodged.
While dodging Yuzu's fan Yuya walked into the body of Gongenzaka who had been standing in the classroom with them.
"Oh sorry Gong, I didn't see you there…" Yuya apologized for stepping into his friend.
"That boy wasn't entertained Yuya. There's a difference between laughing with you and laughing at you!" Gongenzaka scolded Yuya.
"When your father dueled he had everyone entertained! No one was laughing at him!"
"Well if you ask me everyone laughed at my Dad's last duel," Yuya remarked.
"YUYA!" Gongenzaka and Yuzu both yelled at him, not impressed with his joke.
"Take it easy guys," Yuya replied laughing.
Just then, a man wearing a yellow and black suit with pink glasses and a strange mustache walked into the room.
"Greetings everyone!" The man said letting himself take a seat with them.
"Who are you?" Shuzo inquired.
"I'm Nico Smiley, representative and promoter of the Leo Duel School! I'm here to invite Yuya to duel at our upcoming Fan appreciation day!" He explained.
Yuya perked up hearing this. "But why Yuya? Why invite him specifically?" Shuzo asked, suspicious of this strange man's intentions.
"Well our star pupil wishes to duel the son of Yusho Sakaki! Today is his first exhibition duel and who better than a representative of the You Show duel school!" Nico explained
"You do intend on carrying on his legacy don't you?" he asked Yuya.
As Yuya prepared to respond Shuzo had an answer for him.
"Forget it." he said.
"Why?" Nico didn't understand why he wouldn't want Yuya to duel at a major event.
"I'm not going to allow you to embarrass Yuya like this. You don't know what he's been through since his father disappeared. You should go." Shuzo told him beginning to get up from where he had been sat.
"Well that's too bad." Nico replied putting his hands together. "If Yuya had participated we would have gifted YouShow the latest Solid Vision System. For free!"
"For free?!" Shuzo asked but was replied by his daughter hitting him with a paper fan.
"What happened to not embarrassing Yuya?" Yuzu asked him.
"But, the ARC system…" Shuzo muttered.
"I know the school is important but,"
"What's important is Yuya." Gongenzaka finished for her.
"That's great but, he's gone." Nico pointed out as they looked and saw an empty seat where Yuya once was.
Yuya was sat on a bridge overlooking a stadium near a river.
"Dad. It's been three years, where are you?" Yuya thought to himself
Flashback : 3 years ago
"And now we have the defending champion Yusho Sakaki!" An announcer said over a PA system to a full stadium waiting for the second competitor.
"Where is he?" members of the audience asked, surprised that one of the scheduled duelists wasn't there yet.
"Is the great Yusho Sakaki a coward?" his opponent asked prompting jeers and boos from the crowd.
"My dad's no coward!" A young Yuya wailed from the audience. "Let me duel in his place! I'll never run away!"
END OF FLASHBACK
Yuya held up his pendulum. "Now is my chance to clear up my father's name with the dueling he taught me!"
STADIUM, MAIAMI CITY
"Welcome one and all to the annual Leo Duel School Fan Appreciation Day!" Nico Smiley announced from his position.
"Today we will witness a duel for the Decade! In the corner of LDS, we have the talented young duelist, Shingo Sawatari!"
A boy wearing the Maiami Prep uniform and red pants comes out on cue to Nico's announcement. He had layered brown and blonde hair and blue eyes.
"And his opponent, representing the YouShow Duel School, the son of the legendary Yusho! Yuya Sakaki!" Nico announced introducing Yuya for the duel.
"Yeah! Let's go Yuya!" Shuzo cheered from the stands among Yuzu and Gongenzaka.
"Win the ARC System!" he yelled before Yuzu hit him with her fan once again.
As they awaited Yuya to come out to his cue a harlequin in a yellow and black costume and a white clown mask appeared behind the young Sawatari who had been getting impatient.
"WHAT'S THE HOLD UP?" Sawatari yelled not noticing the clown behind him.
"Please don't tell me that's who I think it is…" Yuzu sighed realizing it was her friend Yuya in the clown costume behind him.
"Look behind you!" members of the audience yelled causing him to turn, noticing Yuya.
"Who are you?" he yelled at Yuya confused at what was happening.
"I'm your opponent." Yuya said taking off his mask and bowing before Sawatari.
"I thought I'd make my grand entrance, sorry to keep everyone waiting," he continued smiling at his audience.
"Well now that you're here we can get this started." Sawatari had composed himself.
"Duelist locked in battle," Yuya began.
"Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" his opponent continued.
"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling!"
"Action,"
"DUEL" they yelled in unison with the audience.
SAWATARI VS YUYA
SAWATARI LP: 4000

"Now we'll activate the action field!" Nico Smiley announced. "Skyscraper of Dreams!"
A dark city appears with tall buildings and skyscrapers stretching across the stadium.
"I'll go first!" Yuya said throwing off his clown costume to reveal his regular clothes.
"Go ahead, it won't make much of a difference going against an LDS elite like myself." Sawatari bragged.
Yuya drew his starting hand then smiled. "Today I am going to show you the Sakaki brand of entertainment just like my dad!"
"Now let's begin! I summon Performapal Secondonkey in attack mode!" Yuya said summoning a purple donkey wearing a top hat and a blue saddle.
Performapal Secondonkey | LV 4 | ATK: 1000 | DEF: 2000
"And due to his effect I'll send a Performapal from my deck to the graveyard!" Yuya continued as he climbed the back of his donkey.
"I'll set two cards face down and end my turn!" Yuya said as he began riding deeper into the city on his monster.
"So this Sakaki twerp wants me to chase him," Sawatari noted.
"But it doesn't matter! I'll crush him either way! Starting with this! I summon the monster Edea the Heavenly Squire!" A knight in silver armor appeared in front of him.
Edea the Heavenly Squire | LV 1| ATK: 800 | DEF: 1000
"Then I'll use his effect to special summon another monster from my deck with the same attack and defence as him! So say hello to Eidos the Underworld Squire!" This time it was a knight in a dark suit of armour to appear before Sawatari.
"But they won't stay on the field for much longer as I'll activate my underworld squire's effect to tribute summon! Now appear! The level 8 Ehther the Heavenly Monarch!"
Sawatari's two squires were sacrificed as a bright light shone in the middle of the field before a throne appeared with Sawatari's monarch sat upon it.

"This can't be good" Yuya said seeing his opponent's high level monster.
"Oh for you? It won't be. Because using his effect I can send 2 Monarch spell or trap cards from my hand or deck to the graveyard and special summon another Monarch without any tribute! Now appear! Erebus the Underworld Monarch!"
As Sawatari spoke a dark fog appeared before him revealing a dark throne with his second Monarch on it.

"Now I'll begin my assault on you Sakaki! Erebus attacks your Secondonkey!" Erebus rose his hand from his throne and commanded a wave of energy that went towards Yuya and his donkey.
"Not so fast!" Yuya said. "I activate the action spell Evasion to negate your attack!" Yuya said as he and his donkey dodged the attack.
"He's holding his own against one of the Leo institute's best!" someone in the audience remarked as people paid attention to Yuya's move.
"Well that's all well and good but you're forgetting my Ehther still has an attack! Go destroy his donkey!" Sawatari commanded as his second Monarch created a wave of white energy to destroy Yuya's monster.
It blasted Yuya's monster causing him to fall off as it was destroyed.
YUYA LP: 4000 - 2200
"Oh no Yuya!" Yuzu yelled from the stands in concern for her friend.
"He'll be fine."
Yuzu, Shuzo and Gongenzaka turned to see Yuya's mother Yoko behind them.
"Notice he has a face down card he didn't play." She said pointing to Yuya's field.
"He has a plan, he's just going to make things interesting."
"Nice move Sawatari but it's my turn. Draw!" Yuya said dusting himself off as he drew his card.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Yuya proclaimed.
"Watch closely as I entertain like no other! My turn will start off with me calling out Performapal Longphone Bull in attack mode! But don't worry he's only here to prepare the stage as I call out Performapal Sleight Hand Magician by sacrificing him due to his effect!"
Performapal Sleight Hand Magician | LV 7| ATK: 2500 | DEF: 2000
"Ha! Big deal! Your monster is still weaker than both of my Monarchs" Sawatari remarked at Yuya's move.
"That may be, but it won't protect you from his special ability! By discarding a card I can destroy a monster on your field! So I'll discard this Parrotrio to get rid of your Ehther!"
Yuya's magician's cane began glowing before it released an energy that destroyed Sawatari's monster.
"And just when you think the fun is over, there's more! Since I discarded a Performapal monster I can special summon Teeter Totter hopper from my graveyard in defence mode! Remember him? He was sent there due to Secondonkey's effect!"
Performapal Teeter Totter Hopper | LV 4 | ATK: 100 | DEF: 1200
"Nice moves, but you're forgetting the fact I still have a monarch stronger than your magician on the field!" Sawatari chided Yuya.
"Oh I didn't forget, that's why I'm using my face-down Back Up Rider! It boosts my magician by 1500 Attack points until the end of this turn!"
Performapal Sleight Hand Magician ATK: 2500 - 4000
"Battle Sleight Hand Magician attacks your Erebus!"
Yuya's magician let out a ray from his rod to destroy Sawatari's Monarch.
'With that I'll end my turn. Sleight Hand Magician's attack will return to normal
Sawatari LP: 4000 - 2800
"Impressive. But I'm afraid this duel ends here!." Sawatari said as he drew a card.
"I activate the effect of The Prime Monarch in my graveyard. By banishing another spell/trap in the grave I can special summon it as a monster!"
The Prime Monarch | LV: 5 | ATK: 1000 | DEF: 2400
"But it won't be here for long as I'll be tributing it to summon Kuraz the Light Monarch!"
A golden warrior appeared in front of Sawatari in the place of his Prime Monarch.
Kuraz The Light Monarch | LV: 6 | ATK: 2400 | DEF: 1000
"And since he was tribute summoned I can destroy two cards on your field! Say goodbye to your monsters!" He declared as his Monarch blasted Yuya's monsters destroying them.
At the sight of his monster being destroyed Yuya began to run deeper to look for action cards.
"Oh no you don't! You're not the only one who can get action cards!" His opponent sneered at him.
Sawatari picked up an action card from a rooftop with the help of his Light Monarch.
"I activate the action spell Action jam! This card prevents you from adding any action cards to your hand during this turn!" Sawatari told Yuya.
"Now I'll finish this! Go Kuraz! Finish his life points!" Sawatari commanded his monarch to attack Yuya directly.
"I'll be activating my facedown! The trap Performapal Call! It negates your attack and allows me to add two Performapals from the deck to my hand!"
As Yuya added his performapal Unicorn and Drummerilla from the deck to his hand, he suddenly noticed a glow around the cards, before he heard a voice taking over his head.
"Ladies and gentlemen! This is the final act of our duel!" Yuya announced to the audience.
"Behold! With this draw I am going to end the duel here and now!"
"Huh? End the duel?" Sawatari asked.
"Don't make me laugh! You have no monsters on the field and I doubt you can wipe out my life points now! But I'll let you humour me. Go on."
"Why thank you! I'll start off by using my Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn and Performapal Drummerilla to set the pendulum scale!"
The two cards in question began glowing in Yuya's hand.
"What? Pendulum?" this question echoed through the crowd as Yuya's Unicorn and Gorrilla both appeared floating above him.
"And since I set them both in the pendulum scales I can now special summon monsters from Levels 3-7! Come out Performapal Whip Snake and Odd-Eyes Pendulum dragon!" Yuya declared confusing everybody in the audience.
"What? Surely this can't be allowed right?" Sawatari asked Nico the announcer, questioning the validity of Yuya's move.
"If it was illegal our systems would detect it. It seems valid!" The announcer responded.
"Now come on out!"
Performapal Whip Snake| LV:4 | ATK: 1700 | DEF: 900
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon | LV:7| ATK: 2500 | DEF: 2000
"Now to win the duel! I activate Whip Snake's ability to switch the attack and defence points of your monster!" Yuya continued as his snake hypnotized Kuraz with his tail switching his attack and defence points.
Kuraz The Light Monarch ATK : 2400 - 1000
"I hope you've enjoyed yourselves ladies and gentlemen but this is where the game ends! Go Odd Eyes destroy his Monarch!"
"But your Odd-Eyes doesn't have enough Attack to finish my life points." Sawatari noted.
"When Odd-Eyes does battle the damage is doubled! Meaning you're in for 3000 points of damage! Which unfortunately you can't afford! GO ODD-EYES! Finish this!"
Yuya's Odd-Eyes obeyed blasting Sawatari's Monarch with a dual coloured light destroying it and sending Sawatari back.
Sawatari LP: 2800 - 0
WINNER: YUYA!
"HE DID IT!" Shuzo yelled from the audience overwhelmed with tears of joy.
"But where did that dragon come from, and what's pendulum summoning?" Yuzu thought to herself.
Yuya bowed to a standing ovation from the entire crowd. "Dad. You may not be here right now but I'll entertain people just like you did. I'll bring smiles and eventually bring you back!" Yuya thought to himself still not very sure where the power he used to win came from.
UNKNOWN LOCATION
In a dark room with a lit-up screen, scientists are sat analyzing Yuya's duel. They take notes as Yuya on screen celebrates his victory.
"Mr. President, we detected a large burst of energy nearby." a man in a dark suit said.
"What type of energy? Fusion? Synchro?" a young man wearing a dark grey sweater, white pants and a red scarf asks him.
"Pendulum."
