AMF
Chapter One
Shore leave again. Captain Christopher Pike had decided to attend a symposium on Federation Diplomacy. The venue was a hall located on the moon of Valmont 3. He found his seat about halfway up the middle section from the stage. Just before the program began, an attractive female Starfleet Commander took the seat next to Pike. She introduced herself as Joyce right before the house lights went down.
Later that evening, Pike was bored with his temporary quarters, and decided to go for a walk around the town square area. He came up to a tavern and decided to go in for a drink. He noticed the lady from the symposium, Joyce, was sitting at the counter by herself. He decided to go over and talk to her.
"So what's a lady like you doing in a place like this?" Chris decided to go with a classic pickup line. She laughed.
"Well, if isn't Mr. Starship Captain himself! Stretching your legs a bit, I see." They smiled at each other, then she indicated for him to sit down next to her, which he did.
"So what's good here?"
"They have a full bar. Real alcohol. You can get anything you want."
"Something to relax me. It's been a wild ride these past few months."
"Sounds like you need something strong. Ever had an Adios Motherfucker?"
Chris is a little taken back but still smiling. "You say that so easily. I'm shocked." He says, mocking surprise.
"Oh? Are you really as virtuous and chaste as you appear?"
"Chaste?"
"Yeah. I dare you to order that drink out loud."
Chris gave her an "Oh yeah?" look, and then motioned for the barkeep to come over.
"Adios Motherfucker." And he taped the bar in front of him. He looked at her. "There."
Joyce chuckled. "Okay. That's the first step. But can you drink it?"
"It's pretty sweet as I remember."
"You don't like sweet?"
"When I'm in the mood." Chris was enjoying the flirty banter. "What are you drinking?"
"Gin and tonic. Nothing special."
The barkeep placed the AMF on a napkin on the bar in front of Chris. It was a very blue color with a fruit garnish.
"Looks like Romulan Ale." He picked it up, removed the fruit , setting it on the napkin. Then he clinked the glass with her glass. "Here goes nothing." Chris took a large sip. "Wow, that's a lot of alcohol." He grimaced a little.
"Yes." Joyce nodded and flashed him a smirky smile. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get home okay."
"Promise?" He took another sip and could already start to feel the effects.
About twenty minutes later, Chris had finished his drink and was feeling very relaxed. Maybe a little too relaxed. Joyce was regretting suggesting the AMF and was now willing to really make sure Chris got home okay.
"Okay, Captain. Time to go for a walk."
"You can call me Chris."
"Chris. Let's get out of here."
She put her arm around him, and he did the same with her. They walked outside together. Once through the door, Chris hesitated a moment.
"That breeze feels so good." He said and stopped walking. "No breeze like that on a starship." Stepping away from her, he turned around a bit so that he could feel the breeze on all sides, with his eyes closed.
"Where are you staying?" Joyce asked.
"Um…. Adios Mutherfucker." He stumbled a little bit and opened his eyes.
"No, that was the name of drink." She couldn't help giggling a little. "What hotel are you at?"
He walked back to her. "Hello Adios." He gave her a quick kiss. She was surprised but liked it, even though he was drunk.
"Hello Goodbye?" she prodded.
"Doesn't it mean both?"
"That's Aloha."
"Oh. Where's a universal translator when you need one?" He smiled at her. "How do you say hello then?"
"Hola. In Spanish." They started walking again, and he put his arm around her.
"Hola Adios!"
"No, that's hello goodbye again."
"Whatever. Where are we going?"
"I guess my place. Come on."
"Ooh, your place. Let's go. Adios!"
"Vamos!"
"Right. Hit it!" he giggled.

They entered into her room and she guided him to sit on her sofa. He looked around the room a bit while Joyce disappeared into the kitchen for a moment. She soon reappeared and brought him a glass of water.
"Here, drink this. Maybe you won't have such a bad hangover in the morning." He took a gulp and set it down on the side table.
"I'm not really that drunk. I just didn't want to go back to my place."
"Why not?"
"Because it's too easy for people to find me there. No one will find me here. More private."
He took her hand and pulled her onto his lap.
"That's better." He breathed, putting his arms around her.
"You sure you're not drunk?" Knowing he was, but asking anyway, as she played with his hair at the back of his neck.
"Well…. Maybe a little." He said looking at her neck, trying to decide where to kiss her next. He started nibbling at the side of her neck.
"You feel pretty good?" She asked, and he looked up into her eyes.
"I'll feel better if you kiss me."
Joyce smiled and leaned into him for a nice long kiss. He pulled her down with him on sofa so that they were laying down and he started kissing her neck and working his way down.
"This is the part where we start making love and you fall asleep on me." Joyce joked.
"I wouldn't do that. That's only in the movies." Chris said between kisses.
"Mm-hmm." She was enjoying his touch and kisses. But sure enough, the touching and kissing stopped after a few minutes. "Chris?" She nudged him. He was asleep. Joyce sighed and shook her head. "Starfleet Captains."
He was too heavy for her to move out from under him so they were destined to spend the night together on the sofa. Not such a bad way to spend the evening, she supposed.
