Hello dear readers. How've you been? Safe and happy? ^_^
Ellie-chan is back with a new, and much, much, very much anticipated one shot! And not to mention, my third TyHil! Earnestly Dedicated to Velox The Dragon Knight aka my sweet lil' sis Cheena as she takes a step further in her teens.
Dear Cheenu, wish you a Very Happy Birthday. May God bless you with all the Success, Health and Happiness that you desire for. Have a great day, and a marvelous year ahead *Showers flowers and pops balloons* You are such a sweet, mature and sincere sis to us all. Can't praise you enough for that. For me, you were the first person whom I got to know as a reader of my work. Words can't suffice to say how much you mean to me.And this fic is nothing but a token of love. Hope you like it *Hearts*
The title and plot's been inspired from the song 'Sixteen' by Ellie Goulding. While the inserted lyrics belong to 'On and On' by Cartoon. I disclaim them both! However, the last poem is composed by me :)
Let's get to some briefs~

What are we waiting for then? Read and Enjoy…..
…..Sixteen: The Colours Of Life…..
The sun had started lowering itself towards the horizon, yet, was high enough in the cerulean expanse called sky. I sighed, miserably failing at glancing at the orb of fire once more. A tiny bit of that blue coloured my heart too. Why so, you'd ask? Well, my birthday it was; and they hadn't had the courtesy to even wish me once. Why'd they do it anyways? Laughing at my own joke, I continue my stroll.
The sea is calm a little, with the waves washing up the shore at regular intervals. As my ruby orbs landed on it, it too decided to tease me. While my feet were on the wet beach sand, that was being stroked by the torrents every now and then; I saw a big surge coming. Fearing that it might make me unstable, I took a few steps back. Keen on teasing me, the ocean waters were, that wave had the guts to come up till my feet and then backing off, barely kissing my toes. "You think you can win?" I yell at the retreating waves. "Scratch that. You think I'll let you win?" this time, my hands ended up resting on my hips, while I let out a hearty smile. The shimmering ocean waters and that typical, soothing sound of wafting briny aqua.
I continue standing there, walking some distance towards the sea, that I still believe, is laughing amidst the roaring tides. Out of nowhere, my mind is distracted by the gust of wind that nearly splayed my chocolate brown hair. By the way, did I tell, that they reach almost till the middle of my back? One year after the BEGA fiasco, and I still am amused by the lengths the Bladebreakers aka G-Revolutions have traversed.
Coming back to our wind-lord, who is busy rampaging my well-arranged tresses. A breeze is much better I'd say. The hem of my knee-length plain orange summer dress flows with the currents. Thanks to the floral-patterned belt, it stays intact at the waist, caressing my figure gently. "So naughty of you." I smile yet again, narrowing these well praised eyes. As if abiding by my commands, the wind-lord showered their mercy; calling back the naughty gusts while gifting the serene breezes.
This time, I turn around, backing the sea. My mind then drifts towards the tall palm trees, lining both sides of the passage, that leads towards our resort. I watch in amazement, as their large, evergreen palmate aka fan-leaves and the pinnate aka feather-leaves sway along the air currents. Left and right, here and there, to and fro, back and forth; they continue their happy dance. I smile genuinely. Isn't this place just a piece of Heaven?
Talking of which, I think I forgot to say about how and why am I here, by the seaside. Well, after the fall of BEGA, that eggplant was punished heavily. Blading teams from world-wide offered help to resurrect the BBA. Within five months, everything was all set. Now, Mr. Dickenson and the boys, especially Tyson, felt a serious urge to take some time off and relax somewhere. That brought us to the Australian seashores, in one the resorts, booked solely for the Bladebreakers. While Tyson and Max were taking full advantage of this vacation, preparing for any upcoming dangers every now and then, I see Kai, Ray and Kenny doing vice versa. Nonetheless, I'm doing both, in equal proportions.
As I was recalling all this, the sky overhead got hovered by grey clouds. Not many, but enough to make the sun hide away. As golden rays of sunshine kept on filtering through them. "Hilary wait!" I am startled by a panting voice calling my name. Turning in that direction, I see Tyson. Bending forward, his hands are resting on his knees.
"Poor guy, huffing so much." I sympathise. 'Poor guy, huh?' ma' mind mocks. Since when did I soften for him? "Nevermind." I shake my head.
"C'mere Tyson. What happened?" I ask, not moving a bit from my place.
"Uh nothing." He comes to stand by me. "Just thought of being by your side."
"…." I look at him, befuddled.
"I…I mean, it's better to stroll together than being alone." Smiling sheepishly, he goes on to scratch the back of his head. 'Weird.' I say in my mind. Why is he being nervous? "Why didn't you take any of us? Or me at least?" he speaks.
"You were having a cat-fight with Daichi, then." I chortle. "Besides, it's so peaceful out here, being in solitude." Walking a step ahead, my arms spread, feeling the cool breeze tickle every inch of my exposed skin. Enjoying still, I turn to face him, and start walking backwards. My happiness turns to vapours, when I notice his wide-eyed façade. "You okay, Tyse?"
He responds a little late, but nods nonetheless. "Just look over there…." My gaze follows his line of perception, overlooking his extended index finger. Bet, our looks look so much alike now.
Finding life along the way
Melodies we haven't played
No, I don't want no rest
Echoin' around these walls
Fighting to create a song (yeah)
I don't wanna miss a beat
And on and on we'll go
Through the wastelands, through the highways
'Til my shadow turns to sun rays
And on and on we'll go
Through the wastelands, through the highways
And on and on we'll go
A few yards ahead of us, at the far end of our resort's backyard, is a gorgeous garden. It is large, full of yellow, green and a few odd-coloured herbs and shrubberies. In between the greens, medium sized flower plants, in the likes of red, peach, white, pink and yellow colours are visible. I assume them to be roses, dahlias, and chrysanthemums; maybe others too. But that's not all! Tall trees with dot-sized (as appearing from our distance) yellow and red flower-clusters are also present. The said flowers rain towards the garden floor, as winds blow gently. The dark blue and grey clouds in the background, make the garden pop up with vibrancy.
"Can't believe it's for real." I hear Tyson say.
"Yeah. Resembles a painting by any artist." I affirm. My hand crawls up to his right one, as I hold it, subconsciously.
He glances at me once. "Sorry" I mutter, biting my tongue, attempting to loosen the grip.
"It's okay." He doesn't seem to mind. So, I don't let go either.
Couldn't comprehend how many minutes pass in that way. But by the time we get a hold of ourselves, it's raining. Not the heavy downpour, I mean. Just light sprinkles, enough to help those flowers thriving in these sands. Sunlight's showering still. Recalling something, I frantically start searching it, among the dark-grey to light blue ombre-shaded expanse of sky.
"What are you searching?" he senses my sudden excitement.
"That.." saying, I point my finger towards the sky just around our resort roof. His smile widens, and we continue staring there. What was it, you'll ask?
Simple answer, the spectrum of light, the bow of mighty thunder Gods, the beautiful phenomenon of mother nature, the seven colours~ the Rainbow.
We stand there, absorbing every tiny detail of the pleasant aura surrounding us. This trip has really been a healing potion to the wounds each of us were engraved with, during the past year. Thinking of it, we were still in our teens, a time for attaining maturity; but we already reached that point, no denying that. Emotionally, physically and mentally, we did faced a lot of pressure. Happy to state at last, that we sailed through that storm too. As I side-glance at Tyson, I can very well see through his heart. Much the same thoughts as mine. And I smile at that.
Force of the rain is increasing with the passage of time. Tyson asks me to head under the safety of the resort. I am determined to stay, but comply to his pleadings; knowing it as well, that it isn't a wise decision to stay.

I am taken by surprise when Tyson lets me in first, and not rushes like his usual self. The creepy darkness kinda freaks me. But being the brave girl that I am, I head inside, alone? "Did any power-cut occur Tyse?" I ask, but am met with pin-drop silence.
"Happy Birthday Dear Hilary!" I squeak at the sudden chorus. Lights are turned on, and I witness a beautifully decorated hall. "Thank you, guys. I really am surprised." I say as a single tear cascades down my cheek. I feel a thumb rise up my level and wipe it affectionately. Of course I recognize the owner. Tyson wraps his arms around me from behind, I simply lean on him, complying to the embrace. "Happy Birthday Hils." He whispers in a husky voice. And I can feel goosebumps already. "Hope you've liked the surprise." I nod at his statement, having left with nothing to say.
Hold me close 'til I get up
Time is barely on our side
I don't wanna waste what's left
The storms we chase are leading us
And love is all we'll ever trust, yeah
No, I don't wanna waste what's left
And on and on we'll go
Through the wastelands, through the highways
'Til my shadow turns to sun rays
And on and on we'll go
Through the wastelands, through the highways
And on and on we'll go
Oh, on we'll go
"More credits to us, less to Tyson, okay?" Max and Ray huff in unison.
"Ah, c'mon you two, keeping Hils busy is such a gigantic task, not to mention. So I demand more credits!" Tyson mutters, with food stuffed in his mouth. I roll my eyes, unable to supress that deep laugh.
"Tyson, let's have a competition of who eats more cake. Get prepared to be called a loser otherwise!" Daichi literally bellows. While Tyson? He isn't here even. Went to gobble up the dessert already.
I sigh, slapping my forehead. "That's my cake you gluttons!" I yell, getting back in form….
Refreshing as the flowers...
Soothing as the Seas...
Impermanent like the Sands...
And Cheerful like the Bees...
Farewell, my sweet Sixteen...
And it's done. How was it? Do tell me in the reviews.
To be frank, I changed the plot before two-days. A thunderstorm occurred here, and since it was sunlight, I saw a rainbow; hence the direction of the story. The original one will be posted too, but with a different title, and not so soon :P
Pardon the grammatical errors. It's my first time writing a hundred-percent first person POV fic. That too with present tense.
Cheena, I look forward to your reaction. Read whenever you have time. I know you aren't turning/leaving sixteen, but this just went well with the common notions. Besides, I'm not habituated with writing TyHils, so please don't mind. Wish you a many many happy returns of the day, once more :D
Thank you for reading. Bye!
-Ellie :)
