HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA BELONGS TO SONY PICTURES ANIMATION
Gloria was her name, and she claimed to be from a small city in North Carolina. As she had told him, she had traveled all the way to Transylvania exclusively to attend the Monster Festival. She was there for the fourth year in a row, for as long as it was being held. Horror genre drove her nuts, specially—and Murray loved how she purred while she said it—everything related to mummies.
"So you live in a pyramid, huh?"
What pretty eyes she had. Murray couldn't stop gazing at them; that was why his lips looked for the straw unsuccessfully, making him look like a dork. They were so pretty he was willing to overlook the fact that she was a human. After all, what did that matter? That was nothing a few bandages and a quick embalming couldn't fix.
"Oh, yeah. A big one. Full of mortal traps and curses."
"Do you know how to cast curses?"
"Of course, princess. Just tell me who's rubbing you the wrong way and I'll do the rest."
Gloria snickered covering her mouth.
"I may actually ask you, if my stupid ex-boyfriend bothers me again."
"Oh, and you're with someone now?"
"I'm afraid not. You know: before finding the prince, you'll have to kiss lots of frogs."
"That's something I can't understand, for the love of Ra. Someone as precious as you, single...A toast!"
"We've already had a toast for your friends, for...zing, you called it?, the festival and Anubis, what are we toasting for, this time?"
"To bring you good luck finding your blue prince. For that lucky guy."
Gloria smiled and raised her glass.
"For my prince."
As soon as they clank their glasses, the young lady approached Murray to mutter:
"Maybe he's not too far away..."
Murray gazed over Gloria's shoulder for a second and caught a large figure which could barely fit through the door of the bar that was shaking its arms to get his attention. He couldn't hear Frank because of the noise. But it didn't matter. Murray shook an arm as he vocalized with his mouth wide open: 'Leave me alone! Leave me alone!', and kept looking at Gloria awestruck. She placed her hand on his, resting on the counter, and look at him the same way he did.
