(Eighteen Years Ago)

The Deputy Chief of The Metalbending Police force was in labor, the one good thing from her disastrous relationship with Tenzin, The baby showed unusual skills, even in the womb, sudden displays of Earthbending and gusts of Wind. Talk that the baby was to be the next Avatar was slim at best, especially since the Avatar Cycle was supposed to transfer to a Waterbender when Aang died. And that man was still alive, and in the room's examination area. Lin had angrily shouted Tenzin from the room, and he was currently with his father and Lin's mother. The Healers instructed her to push and while she was very tempted to shout that's what she's doing, she gritted her teeth and pushed, again...

The Otherwise quiet room was no longer filled with Lin's screams, shouts, grunts, and other general characteristic behavior...until it was at last filled with the sounds of crying. Lin felt her pain subside and the baby was brought up to her to look, and she was delighted to see the child was a boy. Tenzin was hesitant to enter, but after some urging, he did so, but his new son Airbent him out, laughing as he did so. Lin knew then that her son was an Airbender...or she did when the child suddenly bent the Earth around them. This child was able to bend both Air and Earth, this child was one of a kind indeed. ''Welcome to the world...Kentai" Says Lin.

(Ten Years ago)

Kentai ignored his mother's pleas, he was so sick of her bias and resentment, he'd had enough. So without another word he had grabbed his stuff and left. She might be his mother, but not any longer...No, Pema was a better mother to him than she ever was, if she couldn't get over her inherent inability to see what's what where he was concerned, then she would not be apart of his life until she did. For all her advantages, she was unable to accept that her skills as a mother were about as good as his father was at learning Earthbending, nonexistent. He was grateful for her teaching him Earth and Metalbending, but she refused to permit him to learn Airbending, a part of his Identity, and her refusal had reached the point where he was no longer willing to listen...

Kentai left for Air Temple Island, he would live with his father, who had only ever tried to be supportive where his mother had been anything but supportive. It was time for a change. Kentai would find his true family, and he hoped to be able to be a role model for his litter sister Jinora. As an Airbender, she would need guidance...

(One Year Ago)

Kentai was back, he had spent three years abroad as a member of the United forces, serving with distinction under his Uncle Bumi and General Iroh, decorated by both. He had been given the nickname Vibra, a short version of his ability to determine whether someone was lying or not or how many troops were going to be faced through the vibrations they sent off from their feet. He had been raised to Captain six months ago, before resigning his commission to return home and help his father. He had left the ferry, and was walking with his bags, carrying his gear and personal effects. He walked up to the temple, and found his way to the Airbending gates where his siblings were practicing under the watchful eyes of their father. It was a simple matter of sneaking behind his father and shouting like his uncle Bumi. Tenzin's Horror at the thought of Bumi arriving in secret and causing a scene in front of his beloved children, was quickly surpassed by his surprise and delight that his eldest son had returned. "Children! Your big brother has come home!" Tenzin calls, and the trio quickly tackle him to the ground.

"Kentai!" The two girls squealed and only other boy roared.

"Hey midgets! Careful with the dress uniform, it's a pain to clean." Kentai says as he pats himself off after the three let him up.

"I Wasn't expecting you to return." Says Tenzin.

"Well, decided to stop avoiding the inevitable, may as well come home, help you where I can, and offer you the chance to get some rest while I handle the training." Kentai says. "I appreciate that, more than you could know." Says Tenzin.

"Kentai?" Jinora says quizzically.

"Yes, Jin, I'm getting to it, let me at least sit down and have a drink and some Komodo Rhino Sausages first." Kentai states, very tired from his journey, he knew Jinora wanted what he'd promised her, and no doubt, Ikki and Meelo would want whatever he'd gotten them, since it wouldn't be fair if he'd gotten their eldest sister something and not them. Jinora was the only person to maintain a consistent contact with him, and one of the many things he'd discovered on his Journey was various Airbender Relics, naturally such things weren't going to suit Meelo or Ikki, and Kentai knew that well enough. He sat down and pulled his packages from his bags. "Here Jinora, Uncle Bumi had to break quite a few rules to get this to me." Kentai says.

"My brother, sent those?" Asks Tenzin in almost scared whisper.

"Dad, these are Airbending Relics...Kentai promised he and Uncle Bumi would get them back to us." Says Jinora.

"It was actually Uncle Bumi, he kept going on about how Grandfathers ghost would skin his hide if he failed to get this stuff back. I just became the messenger. Now as far as you two go, I actually got something very special for you two." Kentai says with a devious smirk.

"Oh dear, what did you get them?" Asks Tenzin, almost more afraid to ask than he was about Bumi just seconds ago.

"I got Meelo and Ikki an Eel Hound, while Jinora gets a very very very special gift." Kentai says as he stands up and walks out. Tenzin is nervous now more than ever, if he got his youngest siblings the notoriously hard to tame Eel Hounds, then what pray tell could he have gotten Tenzin's Eldest daughter. "I thought about maybe a Sparrowkeet, but I figured you'd find this something to lord over Meelo and Ikki, in fact, I'm only other person alive besides Fire Lord Zuko to have one, which makes this Extremely special." Kentai says as he holds a decorated whistle to his lips and blows. Two roars can be heard, and two shadows come down from the shadows on the son. "Jinora, meet two of the last living Dragons, my own mount Roku and his younger sibling and sister Kyoshi.

"Two avatars?" Asks Jinora.

"Yes, Since they're the original Firebenders, and they're also very spiritual creatures I felt it more intriguing than a Flying Bison. Plus I wanted you to no longer be the normal one." Kentai told his sister.

"Oh dear..." Says Tenzin in despair

Kentai and his family stood at the altar, well, Kentai knelt, his skin still hurt from the application, but his siblings looked on proudly, his happiness was dashed when he saw his mother's presence...'What was she doing here?' Kentai thought. "It is with great pleasure, that I declare my eldest son an Airbending Master. The first in Decades!" Says Tenzin, whose mask of normally stoic and stern lack of emotion is shattered with pride. The Air Acolytes clapped and cheered, but none more loudly than Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo. He was now on equal footing in terms of Airbending with his Father, and as an Airbending Master, he was able to freely pursue his own Airbending goals...

(Six Months Later)

Kentai was in an interesting Position, he had been rather reluctantly working as a cop in the Metalbending Police Force, and in those six months he'd made Sergeant, and was on the Fast track for the position of Lieutenant. Everyone said it was because of his skills as an Investigator and skilled interrogator and some other horse shit, he honestly believed it was his mother's doing and if it wasn't her it was the shit stirrer that was Councilman Tarrlok, or as Kentai and much of the lower ranks called Dicklok, because any time someone had a problem with the man as the saying went you'd become so mired in paperwork that you'd have your dick tied up in knots, hence the rather unflattering and very humorous and juvenile grade of a secret nickname.
