The Queen of hearts
WWE RAW…
It was a couple of weeks before WWE's next big PPV, the Royal Rumble. And every superstar on the roster was trying their best to get a spot on the card, but one person in particular, Kayla Braxton who occasionally did interviews with superstars backstage, was trying to do something else, she was trying to get the attention of a certain superstar who went by the nickname 'The Queen of Spades' that person was Shayna Baszler.
One night after Shayna had finished a match, she made her way backstage where Kayla was waiting for her as she said, "Shayna, congratulations on the win tonight. What's next for the Queen of spades?" and Shayna looked at Kayla as she confidently replied,
"What's next for the Queen of spades? I'll tell you what's next, because I didn't come here to make friends, I came here to win! and that's exactly what is going to happen at the Royal Rumble when I toss every single one of these ladies over the top rope and earn my place at Wrestlemania for the WWE RAW women's championship." Then Michelle walked over to Shayna with a smirk on her face as she said,
"Is that so Shayna? Because the way I see it, I am going to win the Royal Rumble and challenge Sasha banks at Wrestlemania for the WWE Smackdown women's championship!"
Both Shayna and Michelle then tensely stared at each other face to face, before Shayna had a little smirk on her face as she said, "Well, may the best woman win then. Spoiler alert, it's going to be me, so don't feel too bad when I throw out of the ring." After the interview, Kayla blushed a little at Shayna as she nervously said,
"T-that was great Shayna, I'll be rooting for you at the Royal Rumble."
And Shayna smiled at Kayla a little as she said to her, "What are you nervous for Kayla? You're not even in the Royal Rumble match." and Kayla blushed a little deeper as she replied,
"I know, I know. I...I'll see you at the next show."
Before Kayla then started quickly walking away from Shayna, leaving her standing in the hallway as Shayna thought to herself, "That was weird, what was all that about?" and when Kayla thought she was far enough away from Shayna she stopped around a corner and leaned against the wall as she thought to herself, "Nice one Kayla, Just tell her you like her and see how she feels."
Michelle then saw Kayla leaning against a wall in the hallway, and walked over to her as she smiled and said, "Hey Kayla, I thought you would be on your way to Smackdown by now to do some interviews there?" and Kayla smiled back at Michelle as she blushed a little and nodded her head as she replied,
"I-I was just leaving, why are you still hanging around here? I thought you would have left by now."
And Michelle smiled at Kayla as she said, "I'm waiting for my partner to pick me up, and take me to the next show." before she then added, "I can tell something is on your mind Kayla, my mother always told me it's better out than keeping it to yourself, so...what's on your mind?" and Kayla smiled at Michelle as she took a deep breath and replied,
"You're right Michelle, it's...it's about Shayna."
Michelle just smiled at Kayla as she said, "Okay...what about Shayna? Maybe I can help?" and Kayla took another deep breath as she looked at Michelle and replied,
"I don't know...It's not like she will notice me anyway, she's a WWE superstar like you, I'm...just a backstage interviewer...I'm no one special."
Then Michelle had a beaming smile on her face and shook her head as she said to Kayla, "You like her don't you? You are special Kayla, you just have to get Shayna to see you for you. Why not ask her out to dinner or something and just see how the night goes?" and Kayla shook her head at Michelle as she replied,
"Are you crazy? Shayna would never want to go out with a nobody like me...I'll just have to accept that we will never be together…" before she frowned a little as she added, "Anyway, I have to get to Smackdown, good luck at the Rumble Michelle."
After Kayla left the parking lot in her car, Michelle took out her phone as she began texting her partner Christie hemme as she typed, "Michelle: Hey, where are u?" and she didn't have to wait long before her phone vibrated with a reply,
"Christie: I'm five minutes away babe, why?"
"Michelle: Great, I'll see u soon boo. I'm gonna need some help with something."
"Christie: What do u need help with? Did u have something awesome planned for the Royal Rumble?"
"Michelle: Well, yeah, but...this isn't about me. I'm gonna be matchmaker and get two lucky people together, u in?"
"Christie: I'm in baby! So are the lucky people we are gonna try and get together?"
"Michelle: Kayla Braxton and Shayna Baszler. Let's get these love birds together!"
"Christie: OMG! They would make the cutest couple ever! Let's get operation: Matchmaker underway!"
Next week…
Kayla took a deep breath as she arrived on RAW the next week, as she stepped out of her car and began walking backstage Shayna smiled and waved at her as she said, "Hey Kayla, can we talk for a minute?" and Kayla looked around in shock before she looked at Shayna as she stammered in response,
"M-me? Y-you want to talk to me? What about?"
Shayna smiled as she let out a small giggle before she said, "Yeah I want to talk to you silly, who else?" before she then nervously rubbed the back of her head as she added, "So...do you have anything planned after the Royal Rumble? Because...I, umm nevermind I have a tag match with Michelle tonight. Talk later?" and Kayla smiled as she nodded her head at Shayna and replied,
"Sure, I'll be back here doing what I always do, interviewing people. You know where to find me."
And Shayna smiled as she said, "Great, I'll uh see you later I guess." before she left to get ready for her match, Kayla smiled as she thought to herself, "Aww, Shayna looks kinda cute when she's blushing. and...what just happened? Was she about to ask me out? Maybe I'm just imagining things."
After the match, Kayla was standing backstage waiting for Shayna but she looked shocked when she saw a few referee's as well as Shayna helping Michelle who seemed to be limping a little, before Kayla then asked Shayna, "Is she gonna be ok? what happened out there?" and Shayna let out a sigh as she smiled at Kayla and replied,
"Don't worry about Michelle Kayla, she's gonna be fine. It's all part of a storyline with Charlotte."
Charlotte then walked backstage looking like she was getting ready to be interviewed, and Kayla just took a deep breath as she tried to remain professional as she asked, "Charlotte, could you explain your actions out there tonight?" and Charlotte had a smug smile on her face as she replied,
"What I did? I did the WWE Universe a favour, no one is more suited to main event Wrestlemania except yours truly, which is why I will win this year's Royal Rumble and once again headline Wrestlemania, when I challenge the RAW women's champion."
Then Shayna walked over to Charlotte and smirked as she said, "Is that so Charlotte, because it looks to me like 'the Queen' needs to get off her high horse, because I'm gonna be the one who challenges the RAW women's champion when I win the Royal Rumble!" and Charlotte glared at Shayna as she said,
"And I think that you need to start showing me some respect, if it wasn't for me, women like us wouldn't even be main eventing Wrestlemania! I got this division to where it is today! I'll see you this sunday." before she walked off, leaving Shayna and Kayla alone together.
WWE ROYAL RUMBLE PPV…
It was finally the day of the Royal Rumble PPV show, and Kayla wore a one piece, strapless, dark green dress and she smiled as she thought to herself, "Shayna is sure to notice me in this dress, how could she not?" before she then made her way to her car and drove to the arena to get ready for the show.
When she arrived at the arena, Kayla smiled as she saw Michelle and waved at her as she said, "Hey Michelle, good luck tonight." and Michelle smiled back at Kayla as she replied,
"Thanks Kayla, you look amazing in that dress."
Shayna then smiled as she joined the two of them before she said to Kayla, "I have to agree, you look great in that dress Kayla." then she looked a little nervous as she added, "So...are you doing anything after the show tonight? 'cause I was thinking we could go out and get some dinner together?" and Kayla looked lost for words as she stumbled out,
"I...umm...I wo…"
Michelle then smiled at Shayna as she answered for Kayla, "What she means to say Shayna is that she would love to. We could even make it a double date as me and Christie were planning on getting something to eat after the show as well. After I win the Royal Rumble match tonight." and Shayna let out a small laugh as she said,
"I think you mean when I win the Royal Rumble match tonight, Michelle."
Kayla then let out a small giggle of her own as she whispered to Michelle, "Thanks for the save, I owe you one." before she looked at Shayna as she said to her, "So, I guess I will see you after the show tonight, for our date?" and this time Shayna was at a loss for words as she replied,
"I...umm...wha? I never said anything about this being a date?" before her cheeks then went slightly red as she quietly added, "Unless...you would like it to be date?" and Michelle giggled a little as she said to Shayna,
"Aww, you look cute when you're blushing Shayna, come on, we should get ready for the match." before she started walking inside the arena before she looked back at Kayla and smiled as she said to her,
"I'll see you after the show for our double date."
When the match was over, Kayla was standing backstage with a beaming smile on her face as Michelle came through the curtain looking slightly out of breath before she asked, "Michelle, congratulations on winning tonight. What does this victory mean to you?" and Michelle smiled at Kayla as she had a few tears streaming down her face as she replied,
"This victory tonight means so much to me, I still feel like this is all a dream and I can't believe I am actually going to main event Wrestlemania!"
And Kayla smiled as she asked, "So Michelle, do have an idea of who you would like to face at Wrestlemania yet?" and Michelle tried to catch her breath as said,
"I will say this Kayla, the person I plan on choosing knows that I am watching them very closely, it will become clear to the WWE Universe about who I have chosen when I make my choice, but until then, both champs should know I am the biggest threat to their title reign and I will be watching very closely."
Shayna then walked over to Michelle after her interview was over and smiled as she said, "I just want to say, congratulations Michelle, you earned that victory tonight and you deserve to go to Wrestlemania. No matter which champion you choose I can see you walking away as either the new RAW or Smackdown women's champion."

Edit: This was a story that someone requested me to write for them. I had thought of scrapping this story originally, but I worked hard on this to just let this hopefully cute Two-shot story go to waste.
