Chapter 1: Lighting Strikes
Speed. By definition, it means something or someone fast. The rate at which someone or something can move or operate, that's the actual definition. Speed comes in many shapes and sizes. Everyone can find it in cars, animals, and even humans.
Many have speed, meaning that many are fast. With their rate, they have become racers, whether with their legs or their vehicles. But no matter how fast they are, none are faster than me. I have speed. I am speed. I am the fastest man alive. I am the Flash, and I am currently facing my greatest enemy.
A couple was walking down the street; the man arms around his girlfriend. It was a lovely night, a perfect night for them, for they were going out to their favorite restaurant for dinner. Both had dressed up for this event and could not wait to enjoy themselves. As they continued to walk, both man and woman saw flashing lights coming towards them. Both of them narrowed their eyes at the lights as they got closer to them.
As it did, they could make out the colors; one was blue and the other green. "Wha-WOAH!" The man screamed as his girlfriend and himself were blown off their feet, but it was not just them. It was everything around them. Cars were flipped over, and they crashed into stores shattering windows. The wind blew as the lights passed, sending papers and trash all over the place.
"What was that?!" The girlfriend asked her boyfriend, but even he didn't have an answer to that. The girl's hair was a mess; all that time making sure that it was perfect was now gone, and it was done by some, some kind of wind. That's what they and everyone else thought, but they were wrong. It was not winding that caused that damage; no, it was something more powerful than that. What caused the damage were two men...two speedsters.
A black man costume with a black lightning bolt on his chest was running at very high speeds through the streets. A trail of blue lighting behind him as he ran forward, but he was not alone, for there was another behind. A teen with green hair was running just as fast as the man in, but only harder and with green lighting behind him. The teen had the look of anger...no; hate was on his face as he edged closer to the man that ruined his. He is a man that took everything from him. He will catch him, and he will make him pay.
The two speedsters continued to run through the streets, zigzagging their way through cars and people. They ran up a tall skyscraper and stopped; both of them were on top of the helipad. The man in the black costume was facing forward his back to the teen as lighting struck the sky.
"It's been a long time, Izuku. You've gotten taller since I last saw you." The man's voice was not normal; it was almost demonic. The black speedster turned around to see Izuku's face Izuku; the teen's face had pure hatred written all over it.
Izuku was seething, he was trying to stay calm, but he couldn't. How could he? Especially when the man that murder his mother was right in front of him. For 12 years, Izuku has prepared himself for this day, and he has trained himself in his speed for when the day arrives, he would be ready to face the man that took everything away. Now today was the day; tonight would be the night that his mother gets justice and that the black speedster pays for destroying the young man's life.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Let us turn back the clock to 12 years ago on the day that Izuku's life would change forever.
"I'm sorry, but he's quirkless." Both Izuku and Inko's eyes widened when they heard that. They both could not believe what they just heard. They thought that it had to be a mistake, but it was not for that the doctor explained why Izuku was quirkless.
"You have a double-jointed toe, and because of that, you will never get a quirk."
"But doctor, are you certain. I mean, my late husband and I have quirks." Inko's voice spoke softly as she displayed her attraction quirk. Her hand lifted her son's toy as he was still shocked at the news that he just got.
"Positive, he should give up on trying to get one because it won't happen." Inko gave the doctor a glare for how he just dismissed her son's dream of becoming a hero. She calmed herself down and grabbed her son's hand. Once Izuku's hand was in hers, she left the office not even giving the doctor a second look. Inko slammed the door shut and made her way to her car where she strapped Izuku in his car seat.
When done, she began to drive home, and as she drove, she looked back at her son every so often. Izuku's face was so sad, he was so heartbroken, and she knew it. She knew how much he wanted to get his quirk. He wanted it ever since he saw that video All Might saving people in a destroyed building. Ever since he saw that Izuku has wanted to be a hero now that he is quirkless his dreams have come to an end.
Inko sighed, it's time like this she wishes her husband was still around. Oh, how she missed him. Hisashi died a few months after Izuku was born, there was a villain attack, and he was caught in the middle of it. She has never forgotten that day, but she has moved on. She needed to raise her son.
Inko and Izuku arrived home, it was a small apartment that they lived in. When they got inside the home Izuku went straight to the room where the computer was and closed the door. Izuku spent hours inside that room, hours that went by as he watched the same video that made him want to become a hero.
The sun had gone down, and the moon had risen, the sky was black as the night and the mother had finished dinner. "Izuku, Izuku. Izuku!" Inko called her son's name many times, but he was not answering. She walked into the hallway and saw that light that was coming from the room, the same room where her son was in.
Inko walked to the door to see that it nearly closed and thanks to it not being closed, the light from the computer screen was able to shine through. She opened the door, and her eyes caught a sight that brought tears to her eyes. Her son was watching the video of All Might, and when he heard the door open, he turned around. When he turned around that is when Inko saw the many tears coming down his eyes, but even with that he still had a smile on his face.
"Mom, I can still be a hero, right?" Inko heard the question, but she didn't know how to answer it. How could she answer it? She didn't know whether or not to say yes or no. She knows how hard it is for the quirkless to become heroes, it's impossible. Her son...god does she love him and would give him the world, but the truth is that becoming a hero is too much for him.
Inko couldn't give her son a true answer, so she settled for a hug. It was hard for her because she wanted to tell Izuku the lie that he could do it, but she knows that it's not possible. When Izuku felt the arms of his mother's arms around him, he cried more, but little did both know that this would be the last time that they would see each other…the last time that they would hug.
As Inko continued to hug her son, the door burst open, shocking the woman and the son. Izuku held onto his All Might toy and Inko put her son behind her. A loud zoom could be heard through the apartment, and soon both Midoriya's eyes widened when they caught their eyes on a man that was wearing a black suit with a black lightning bolt on his chest. The man had menacing pure black eyes and blue lighting dancing around him.
The man looked at the two in the room and made a chop with his hand. Both mother and son saw the left hand begin to vibrate very fast, it was unlike anything the two had ever seen. The villain was about to step, he was going to kill them both, but before he could even step in, he was pushed by another.
Inko saw a black villain fly to the side, and she didn't care who it was, but she did hope and pray that it was a hero. The mother didn't waste any time and grabbed her son's arm, she then began to take her son out of the room.
"Izuku holds onto me!" Inko ordered her son, she could not lose him. She will protect her, God helps her. Inko picked him up and held him to her chest as she tried to make her way out of the house. A sound of loud zooms and thuds could be heard in the background as the villain that broke into her home was doing battle with the stranger that attacked him.
Izuku, with his head in between his mother's shoulder and head, saw the flashes of light in his home. Green and Blue collided constantly as his eyes tried to keep up, but it was useless. These beings, whoever...whatever they are, were moving faster than his young eyes could see.
Inko heard more crashes and a loud boom, to her it sounded like someone was thrown through a wall. But even with that, she did not stop moving her feet, she ran as fast as she could to get to the door. She was so close, so close to being free from the danger. Her feet, her body, her son were so close to being out of the home, but they were not fast enough as Inko felt someone grab her back and toss her into a wall.
Inko and Izuku crashed into the wall, but Inko took the brunt of it. She was just glad that she was able to protect Izuku, that is all that mattered to her at this moment. Not her body, not well being, and damn sure not her life. All that mattered was her son.
Inko slowly got up as she held onto Izuku, but her worst fear came true when the monster took her son from her hands.
"NO!" Inko screamed in terror as the villain had her son in his hand, Izuku struggled to get free, but could not.
"Now, you die." The villain spoke with a demonic voice, his hand was in the form of a chop. The hand vibrated just like before and was ready to go through Izuku. The young child widened his eyes in pure terror, for he was about to meet his end.
"IZUKU!" Inko screamed as tears now came down her eyes, she was about to watch her baby boy die and there was nothing that she could do. The only thing that she did was pray, she prayed harder than she ever has. She prayed that someone would hear her, it didn't matter who.
Her prayers were answered though for the other being in the house snapped his eyes opened and ran to the sound of the scream. The villain thrust his hand forward to the child's skull with the intent of killing him, but he missed. Izuku was no longer in his arms, but he knew where he went because he saw the green streak run outside. The villain narrowed his eyes but did not chase after his nemesis. Instead, he turned his head to the only person left in the house.
Inko saw the black eyes turn toward her as she backed up to the wall, her heart beating so fast that it was about to come out of her chest. Inko knew what fate awaited her now, she had come to terms with it as the man edged closer to her. In his hand was a knife that he picked up from off the ground thanks to the mess in her home. Inko steeled herself and had one last thought as her death came.
'Izuku, go be a hero.'
Izuku was moving fast, he didn't know how, but one moment he was in the hands of that villain and then next he was in front of a police car. When the moving stopped, he was in front of the police car and the car came to a stop when the person driving saw the child with the All Might action figure.
The driver widened his eyes when he saw the fear-stricken child, he got out of his car and went up to him. Izuku saw the officer kneel on the ground and begin to speak to him.
"Kid, what are you doing out here alone?"
"My-My mom and I were attacked... by a villain." Izuku wasn't sure what attacked him and his mother was a villain, to him it looked like a monster.
"Where did you live?" The officer asked gently, he could see that the child was still scared, perhaps even scared. Izuku told him the directions, and both of them got in the car. The officer looked at the young child that was next to him and could see that he was still scared, worried even. He could understand it, his mother was alone, a question kept nagging at him. How did the child get out of the house alive? As far as he knows there is no hero present in the area.
He wanted to ask, but couldn't this child need hope right now, and that is what he will give him. "It's going to be... I'm sorry, but I never got your name. What is it?" Izuku looked at the man and gave him the answer.
"It's Izuku. I'm Izuku Midoriya." The officer smiled and gave Izuku his name.
"That's a nice name. My name is Naomasa Tsuchauki." Izuku smiled at the officer, but that smile would forever be gone the moment he saw flashing lights outside of the home. Naomasa saw it as well, and a grim look came on his face as he saw the yellow police tape being put up. It got worse when he saw the ambulance.
Many people were on the street now as they were curious as to what happened, some officers were taking statements from those that live in the complex. All of them trying to piece together what happened moments ago. But Izuku did not care about any of that, all he cared about was his mom.
"MOM!" Izuku screamed as he got out of the car, his destination was his home.
"Izuku, wait!" Naomasa got out of the car and ran after the child, but even he was surprised by his speed. Izuku ran under the tap as everyone heard his scream. A fellow officer who saw the child running grabbed him to prevent him from seeing a scene that would leave him nightmares, but it was too late. Izuku had seen it.
Izuku tried to fight the grip of the offer that held him back, but now he just wanted to be taken away as he looked up to a covered body coming out of his home.
"MOMMY!" Izuku screamed harder, his scream piercing the ears of everyone else as the cops now had an ID on the body. Naomasa came to Izuku and grabbed him, hugged him, and brought him back outside of the police tape. He shouldn't see this, and Naomasa knew this.
"It's going to be alright. It's going to be alright." Naomasa whispered to the crying child as he sobbed into his chest. Izuku had lost everything tonight, but his memory will forever scar him of the events that happened. A man in black with blue lighting running very fast killed his mother; he will remember the costume, the look, the eyes. He will remember them all. Lighting struck the sky as rain soon came down; Izuku was now in the police car with a blanket around him. His All Might toy held tightly to his chest as he replayed the event in his head like a rewind button.
Naomasa was talking with the cops to get more details on what happened, it was sketchy, but one thing's for certain whoever...whatever was here was not a hero. No reports came in saying that a hero was efficient and there was nothing on a villain either. So another question has arisen, what happened here?
They had a dead mother, a now orphaned kid, and a story of a black speedster with blue lighting fighting another. Naomasa couldn't make sense of it, but one thing that did make sense was that Izuku was now alone. The man looked back at the teen to see his now dead eyes; he was alone with no family.
Izuku had no grandparents, no father, no mother, no aunts or uncles, and no siblings. He was truly all alone. 'No, no, he was not.' Naomasa thought he didn't know what he was about to do, but one thing was for certain that the next move he makes would bring great changes to his life.
Unknown to Naomasa and the cops that were still in front of the apartment, a man was watching from afar. The man was tall and wet from the rain, he looked at the scene before him with the hoodie over his head to conceal his face. The man looked at Naomasa for a moment and then at Izuku, he then looked down at his hand.
The man closed his eyes and felt the power inside of him, when he did, he widened his eyes and looked back at Izuku. The man vibrated but soon came to a stop as he just stared at the child that had lost everything. The shock that was on his face faded and was replaced by a stoic look. The man put his hand inside the red hoodie and turned around, he then began to walk away from the scene. What's done is done. Now, Izuku must deal with what comes next. For his story is not over yet. It has only begun.
The man began to make his way to the alleyway, where he removed the hood and showed his short green hair. The man looked down at the puddle beneath him to show a man with green hair and green eyes, eyes that look so much similar to Izuku.
"I can't stay here any longer, but he failed. I can feel it. I still have my powers, I still have my speed. The rest is up to you, younger me." Izuku...A much older Izuku spoke aloud as he crouched down and took off running, a burst speed faster than anyone has ever seen run through the dark streets.
12 years Later Present Day
*Beep Beep* Izuku heard the sound of his alarm and groaned. He reached his hand over to his nightstand and put a stop to the clock. When the sound ceased Izuku rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms. When that was down, he got up and got ready for school, which was dreadful, but he had to go.
Much has changed since that day 12 years ago, the day that Izuku lost his mother. Izuku is now sixteen and now has a father. That's right, a father, adopted one, but a father nonetheless. Izuku is still a Midoriya by name, but on paper, he has Tsuchauki after the end of his name. Yes, Naomasa adopted Izuku after the incident in his home. He couldn't leave the boy all alone, he felt a connection with him, and he had a responsibility to look after him.
So to the shock and happiness of friends, he adopted Izuku and brought him to a new home in the suburbs. Izuku does like his new neighborhood, it's nice, but the biggest reason he likes it is because of the girl next door.
Izuku walked out of his house, and Naomasa had already left for work early in the morning. It was something about a case that he was working on with a hero. Speaking of cases, Izuku's mother's case has gone cold, and by cold, it's non-existent. There was no forensic evidence, no video, no images, no nothing that showed what the officers could be looking for. They called on the help of the heroes, but not even they could find anything.
They started to wonder if what happened to the teen was real; they said that trauma could make people see things that are not there. But Izuku knows what he saw. He will never forget that black mask, the creature that held him by his neck and was ready to kill him. The image was scarred into his mind.
"Izuku," Izuku heard his name called and smiled when he turned his head next to the door to see the girl of his dreams, his crush, the girl he wished that he had the strength to confess. A girl that is so beautiful that the word should never be attached to her name. It did it no justice.
"Nejire," Neijire Hado, the girl next door and the girl that constantly lives in Izuku, 's dream. The cyan-haired teen is a couple of years older than Izuku and is currently in her second year at the dream school for the green-haired teen as well, UA. Nejire is a bubbly girl with a great personality; she is nice and a terrific human being. She is called Wave Girl by the media and is the only female in her class. Her class consists of three students, one of them being Nejire.
"Hey, are you walking to school?" Izuku blushed when Nejire came close to him. He has always been shy around her, one of the many reasons he could never tell her his feelings. Nejire helped him through his mom's death. She got him to talk again, to smile, to enjoy life. Izuku sees Neijire as his best friend just as much as he sees her as the love of his life.
"Y-Y-Yeah. I'm heading there now. Are you-you heading to UA." Nejire ignored the stuttering; she found it quite cute. The bubbly girl nodded her head, and soon, both teens began to walk to school. Obviously, they were heading in two different directions, but they still enjoyed the walk together.
"So, Izuku, are you going to apply to UA." Izuku rubbed his head sheepishly. He still wasn't sure if he wanted to go UA. Yeah, it was his dream school, and he would be there with Nejire, but with him being quirkless, he would not spend much time with her.
Most of his time would be given to general studies. Izuku does want to be like his new adopted father, but not so much as a cop. He is studying forensic science; most of his time he spends in books and doing online research in the field of study. Since he is quirkless, this is the best thing that he could think of, he will work with Naomasa, and he might get the chance to Nejire more often this way.
'Yeah, right. Why would a girl like Nejire like a nerd like me.' Izuku thought as Nejire brought her face close to the teen, waking him out of his stupor. Izuku's face now became as red as a tomato, and Nejire was wondering if he was feeling alright.
"Izuku, your face is red. Are you sick today?" Izuku shook his head as he averted his eyes from her blue ones.
"No-No, I'm fine. Just fine...oh, look at this where we have to part ways. Uh, I'll see you later. Bye, Nejire." Izuku quickly made the turn and booked it to his school. He wanted to get out of that situation as quickly as he could. If he stayed any longer around Nejire, he might've passed out like Hinata from Naruto.
A few hours later
Izuku was now in class, and the teacher gave his lecture in chemistry. Everyone else was as bored as the teacher went on, but Izuku was the only one that was taking notes and paying attention. The emerald-haired nerd wrote down the notes from the lesson, Izuku wasn't one to boast, but he was the smartest one in class.
The teacher stopped the lesson to see if his class was following along and when he found out that they weren't, he sighed. The teacher put down the chalk and turned around to face his class.
"I see that none of you are paying attention, but I bet you all will pay attention if I said the word heroes." The teacher was right; the students all raised their sleepy heads when he said that, and that made him rub his eyes.
"All of you just want to be heroes, and I'll be honest. That is a great job, but it's not cut out for everybody, and only the very few get to the levels where some of the world best are." The teacher was starting to cut into them, but one student, in particular, did not care and saw himself as one of the few.
"Don't lump me in with all these extras. I will be going to the USA, and I will rise to the top of the hero world." Who said that, you're wondering? Well, the answer is simple. It was Katsuki Bakugou, the living dynamite, a nickname that Izuku gave him. One that Katsuki doesn't know about.
When Katsuki said that he was going to UA, murmurs began to start as everyone knew that UA is the top hero school in Japan. They are even called the best in the world by reviewers. They are so great that many people can't even go to them unless they come from wealthy families or are children of heroes. The teacher knew that Katsuki was going, but he had a surprise for him and the rest of the class, for Katsuki is not the only one from their school that is going to UA.
"Katsuki, you are not the only one going to UA. Izuku here is going as well." Izuku looked up from his notebook to see everyone's eyes on him. The teen being shy, didn't like to have all eyes on him. Most of the students did know about his situation; it was on the news and a story for weeks.
"What the hell are you doing, Deku!? You know that a quirkless loser like you can't be in UA." The hard tone from Katsuki and Izuku winced; he knew that he was quirkless and he had no real intention of being a hero. He just wanted to find his mother's killer.
"I'm not going to be in the hero class, but general studies instead. I will be looking to continue my study in forensic science." Katsuki grumbled but took that as an answer. He didn't want anybody coming to steal his thunder in UA, he will be the greatest hero ever, and no one will be able to stop him. Speaking of thunder, a loud boom was heard outside, and the students could all see that grey clouds were in the sky.
"Huh, the weatherman said that it would clear skies today. Guess we will have that thunderstorm earlier than we thought." When the teacher finished his sentence, the bell rang, and the students grabbed their bags and left the classroom.
The day was done with, but Izuku did not leave just yet. No, instead, he asked the teacher if he could stay in the chemistry lab to work on some homework. The teacher allowed it because Izuku was a good student and the best in the class. He could trust him to keep the lab safe and clean.
With permission from the teacher, Izuku stayed behind and got to work, but with the teacher gone, Katsuki saw his chance to remind Izuku where his place belonged. As Izuku went to grab his notebook, the teen was met with an explosion to the face. The explosion knocked him down, and the book was on the ground, but near the feet of the walking bomb.
Katsuki and his goons smiled down at Izuku, and the teen himself glared. He had no power, but boy, if he did, he would teach Katsuki a lesson. Izuku took a deep breath; he had better things to do than deal with egotistical dynamite.
"Give me my notebook, Katsuki." The ash-blonde teen heard the other but didn't give it to him. Instead, he opened and saw the notes that he was taking. Most of them were on science and crap that he didn't care about, but the one that did strike the notes on this man in black character.
"Super-speed. Vibrational powers. Blue lighting. What the hell is this, Deku? Your wish list of powers." Izuku jumped at Katsuki to grab the book, but the teen was met with an explosion to his skinny chest. Izuku was now on the ground while Katsuki and goons continued to look through the book, and the more they looked, the more they became interested because it seemed Izuku was hiding a dark side.
What made them believe that was the drawing in the notebook. Drawings of some strange character in a black costume with a lightning bolt on his chest. Katsuki and his goons, not knowing the full story of Izuku's origin, do not know that that man is the one that changed Izuku's life forever. What they thought was some kind of dark costume that Izuku was working on.
"What the hell is this?" One goon asked soon to be followed up by the next.
"It looks like some kind of villain costume." Katsuki was the only one to speak; he just kept looking at the costume. He even was creeped out by what he saw, so instead of giving it back to Izuku, he set the book ablaze with an explosion, dropping it to the floor. Izuku widened his eyes, his research, his notes, all of it was about to be gone.
Izuku acted quickly and grabbed the water bottle that was in his bag; he opened the cap and poured it down on the book. The fire stopped, but the damages had been done. The notebook was totaled, and it will take some time for Izuku to get his notes back. Luckily he keeps extras, but he was still disappointed that he lost most of his notes.
Izuku glared up at Katsuki, and the bomb teen glared back at him; when Izuku saw the hostility in his eyes, he froze, making Katsukis smirk. "Heh, thought so," Katsuki said and then left the room with his goons, leaving an angry Izuku.
Izuku is angry at Katsuki for destroying his book, but he is also angry at himself for not standing up to him. He was so weak; he was not strong like his adopted father nor the girl of his dreams. How can he ever hope to stand next to Nejire if he can't stand up to Katsuki?
'I'm so helpless. I couldn't save mom, I'm not strong like Naomasa, and I can't even keep myself from stuttering whenever I'm near Nejire. What good am I?' Izuku was depressed; there was no other way to say it. He had been depressed his whole life, but today things were about to change. Izuku didn't know it, but as he worked in the chemistry room, an unknown man was watching him very closely from the ground.
The older man watched his younger self fill the chemicals in the vials, mixing the right compounds just like he knew he would. Today was the day, and today was the day that everything changed for him. But it is also different. Everything is different.
Ever since he failed to stop him from killing his mother, the older version of Izuku's memories has changed. His whole life changed thanks to that one event 12 years ago, and now he has new memories, new experiences, new knowledge to guide his younger self. For only he may be the only one that can stop him.
He has lost his powers, he is no longer the man that he used to be, but Izuku, his younger self, can do what he failed to do. The storm grew louder, the lighting was appearing, and it was time to make a phone call.
Older Izuku grabbed his phone from his hoodie and dialed the number of his younger self. Izuku, who was in the classroom taking notes of these chemicals, heard his phone ring. He put down the pen and paper and grabbed his phone. He looked at it and saw that it was from an unknown number, but even with that, he still answered it.
"Hello,"
"Izuku Midoriya, I hear that you were searching for an answer on that night 12 years ago." Izuku widened his eyes; he could not place the voice because whoever was speaking was using a device to hide their true voice. The voice that he was listening to now sounded deep and robotic.
"Who are you? What do you know?" Izuku demanded from the man that was speaking, not knowing that it was truly him, but just older.
"Heh, I won't tell you my name, but I will give you a codename instead. Call me Deku, and I have been watching you for a long time." Izuku continued to listen as he neared the window, the storm growing more violent.
"I guess you have if you wish to be called by that name."
"Don't sound so suspicious, Izuku, I too, have been called a Deku. But that is neither here nor there. What matters is what happened 12 years ago."
"Who was that man?" Izuku asked as he continued to scan the streets for the man that he was speaking to. He could tell who it was because many people were on their phones, and it made it even harder as some started to put umbrellas for when the rain was about to start.
"Hmmm...his name is not important at this moment, but I will tell you that he is still here. He is still out there, somewhere in the world. He is powerful and fast, and to beat him, you must be faster."
"And how am I going to do that when I'm quirkless. I saw how he moved twelve years ago, his mask, his powers, they never left mind. I have nightmares every night because of him." Izuku sounded angry and frustrated at the same time, and his older self knew it.
"I know. Use those nightmares to fuel yourself for the coming battle against him." Younger Izuku was getting more frustrated now, for the man that he was speaking to was not making any sense.
"Again, how am I going to do that?" Older Izuku looked down at his watch and then looked up at the sky. The time had come.
"Look up, and when you wake up, you will have your answer." Older Izuku hung up the phone and began to walk since his job was now finished. Izuku heard the line go dead and was even more confused, but his confusion was stopped when he saw a man moving down in the streets.
Izuku narrowed his eyes at this man; he had a feeling that it was him, and he was right when that man in the red hoodie turned back to look up at him. Izuku couldn't see his face, but he saw his smile.
The teen was about to move, but he heard a loud boom of thunder, and then he looked where a bolt of lightning came down towards him. Izuku was too late to move because the bolt had broken the window and hit him, blowing him back towards the chemicals that he was working on. Izuku crashed into the bottles and vials that held the compounds, and it spilled all over him.
The teen was unconscious and unmoving as lightning coursed through his body, changing him. Older Izuku had watched the scene before him and continued to walk forward, many people saw the lightning strike the classroom, and one, in particular, dropped her umbrella. Nejire was going to Izuku's school to meet him; he told that he was going to be staying late, so she decided to join him.
Nejire began to run to the school to see if her best friend was alright and as she ran past by the man with the red hoodie. Nejire ran by him like he was nothing, but when she did, the man stopped. He turned around to see the back of the cyan girl, just staring at her as she made her way to the school.
"Huh, not bad young me. Not bad at all." The older Izuku spoke as he continued to walk away from the scene. The lighting had struck just like in his timeline, but things are different now. The future is uncertain, but there are some similarities that he can see. He will do what he can for Izuku, but he can not know about his future.
Unknown to the younger self, his body began to change. His muscles began to get stronger, his body, his reflexes, his mind, his brain, every part of him began to get stronger.
