AN: The first part of this chapter takes place during the original story line. Read it to understand what happened.

Paul and Lindsay practically spent the whole night with it just being the two of them. They went at each other until they passed out while also being careful not to get Lindsay by mistake. When Paul woke up, Lindsay was still asleep right on him. As much fun as last night was for the two of them, it's time to get serious.

"Lindsay, wake up." Paul said. Lindsay woke up and got off him as the two of them sat up.

"Well, that's certainly a great way to fight and reconcile." Lindsay said. She tried to break the ice, but Paul was serious and needed to settle this.

"Lindsay, I think it's time we face the truth." Paul said. "This whole thing between us was fun and everything, you knew how to play your men and that's why I went along with it, but it's not good for either of us. It's affecting how we are as Spider-Man and Blite, and that's not good. We were lucky last night with Sabella, but we can't be that lucky again. The idea of us seemed like a good idea at the start, but not anymore."

"I know." Lindsay said as she was facing it like Paul wanted. "I know I've been acting crazy. I thought we were great together, but I suppose things really are out of control and I don't think things are really going to get better. You just bring out this strong sexual drive in me. Still, at the same time, I don't want to lose you, this, what we have."

"So where does that leave us?" Paul said as they both didn't want to end things, but they might have no choice.

"Maybe we don't work that way, but I still want to be close to you like this. I still want us to be more than friends. "So what if we forget about all that other stuff? No strings attached, no worries, it would just be you and me. It would just be us. What do you say? It was a tempting offer and all that was needed was Paul's approval.

"Let me make sure I have this right. Are you saying we wouldn't be dating anymore, but we would still be sleeping together?" Paul asked.

"Yes. No strings attached, friends with benefits, or however you want to call it." Lindsay said. "It can all just be sex. This way, a relationship won't get in the way between with us being Spider-Man and Blite. We also don't have to give up all the fun we have. What do you say?" Paul knew their relationship wasn't going to last, but he doesn't want it to be over either. Lindsay sure knows how to get a man.

"How would this work exactly?" Paul asked. Lindsay could see he was starting to surrender to the idea and that was all she really needed.

...

One Week Later

"Wait a minute. Let me see if I got this right." Harris said as he and Paul were talking in a café. "You and Lindsay aren't dating, but you're still together?" The two of them were talking and Paul told him about what's going on between him and Lindsay. "You two are friends with benefits now?"

"Yeah. I thought I give something like that a try." Paul said.

"Weird. With how you are with responsibility, I thought you would be against the idea." Harris said.

"Maybe, but I also didn't want to lose what Lindsay and I have." Paul said. "Despite how things went, she and I really do have a lot of fun."

"Okay." Harris said as he had some coffee. He said it so casually like he didn't have a problem with it.

"You're not going to tell me it's a bad idea?" Paul questioned. "You're not going to try and talk me out of it?"

"Paul, it's your life." Harris said. "I'm a little surprised you're actually going through with it, but I'm not going to tell you what to do. People do these sorts of things and there might not be much others can do about it. I will give you one piece of advice. Try and be careful."

"Of what?" Paul asked.

"In a relationship like what you and Lindsay have now, someone might end up getting hurt." Harris said. "I know you wouldn't want that to happen. So, I say again, be careful." Paul didn't think about that, but he didn't think anything bad could really happen from this.

...

Paul's Apartment

Paul had nothing else going on. He just went back to his apartment until something actually happens.

"Hey there." Paul was surprised as he turned around to see Lindsay was there.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" Paul asked.

"What do you think?" Lindsay asked. She walked right over and kissed him. As she placed her hand on him, she slid it down to his pants.

"Wait." Paul said as he pushed her back. "Here? Now?"

"That's what we agreed on, remember?" Lindsay said as she removed her shirt. "We agreed whenever if we're both available." She reached for his belt and took it right off. "I say now is as good as a time as any. You are a man of your word, aren't you?"

"That I am." Paul said as he just went with it. Lindsay didn't wait around as she practically tackled Paul when she kissed him and pushed him until they fell right on the bed. Lindsay and Paul didn't wait around as they removed each other's clothes as fast as they could. Once there was nothing left between them, Lindsay grabbed Paul by the face and just started kissing him. As the two of them were kissing, Lindsay slid one hand down and grabbed on. As Lindsay moved her lips to the side of his face, Paul tried catching his breath from what Lindsay was doing. "Lindsay, what are you..."

"Let's just skip the foreplay." Lindsay said as she pushed him against the bed. She straddled him and didn't wait around. As she moved herself against him, she bounced on him as she slid her hands over his chest. Paul took control himself as he had them roll over and he was on top now. As the two of them continued to move against each other, Lindsay scratch her nails against his back with them just taking in the pleasure and just trying to enjoy themselves. As the two of them finished, they took in deep breaths.

"Woo..." Paul said as he rolled right off with Lindsay cuddling up to him. "You didn't want to waste any time."

"Nope. Just felt like I needed that." Lindsay said as she slid her hand over his muscles. "I can't tell what's better. I can't tell that you're sexier at night with mood lighting or in broad daylight where I can see everything."

"Maybe this won't be so bad." Paul said.

"I'm glad to hear that." Lindsay said as she gave him a quick kiss and got back up. She reached for her clothes and started redressing herself.

"You're leaving already?" Paul asked.

"We're not dating anymore, but don't take it personal." Lindsay said. "Sometimes it will be like this, other times we'll have some real fun and really enjoy ourselves." This seems to be what it's like with them now. "Don't worry. We'll have a better time next time." She kissed him on the lips one more time as she let herself out. This is what it's like between them now. They're not dating, but they're having fun with each other. It might be working, but how long can it last like this?
