Heavy, heavy breathing. I can almost feel the hot moist air near my neck as i try to escape. My legs, unable to bear the intensity and burning pain of my muscles being overworked beyond their limits.
But, i had to run. No. I needed to, to escape that creature… such a terrifying creature that i cannot comprehend.
What did it want? What did it need?
Lost in my thoughts, i tumbled forward, tripping on the ground as i scrambled to get back up.
Silence.
Before i woke up. Seeing a blue sky I seemed to be accustomed to. What was happening? I sat up, only to feel a brief and sudden surge of pain as i quickly grabbed my eye.
My head…
I then got up on one knee as i went to look around.
This… place is unfamiliar to me. It feels like im in a different country, but how did i get here?
In front of me, there were rows of unfamiliar buildings, skyscrapers. All with high-technological advancements… such advanced hover-cars. What unique stands and shops!
I soon realized to myself… my brain, it was never this… perceptive. What the heck was going on? But, i realized. I soon called forth someone who was in my memory. Someone who I lived with, and loved.
"Farris!" I cried out, looking around frantically. Running forward down a street i am unfamiliar with. I don't understand, I am starting to piece together what had happened.
I… remember watching TV… yeah. Thats right. Then, an oddly bright light emerged when one of the characters raised their hands.
But, right now. My fears of losing my brother are overtaking me more than my memory of how i got there.
People are looking at me oddly. As if they had never seen my type of clothing before my black shirt, with a red skull in the middle. Thats my favorite shirt.
I looked down at myself and noticed my black jeans. They are a bit baggier. But they fit. My slippers. Right. I had slippers on when I was taken. Or… was I taken?
"Are… you alright kid?" A stranger approaches me. A concerned citizen i assume.
"I… im fine. Just, a bit lost." I say i didn't lie. I am lost. But how and where i got lost, is a mystery.
"Oh! You are in Shuggazoom City. Must be a Foreigner huh!"
Shugga… zoom… what kind of country is that?
"What… and where is a Shuggazoom?" I ask out of curiosity. While the stranger gives me a puzzled look. I don't think it was a difficult ask.
But, upon seeing the person's face. I realize it did sound rather odd that a stranger, who looks foreign, asks a paradoxical question.
"Nevermind that. Uh… what country are we in?"
"Country? You mean this planet?"
"Planet…?" I then look around. That, explains the advanced technology… earth hasn't advanced this far yet…!
"Excuse me." I dismiss myself from the area. Turning around As the stranger tries to call for me. Now forming a small crowd staring in my direction.
I felt their intense gazes upon me. It was like… daggers. Stabbing into my head.
I walk back to where i had started. Or… Awaken. A Spot in an Alleyway, what a common yet unclean way to wake up. I soon found myself staring at a puddle nearby. My reflection…
Yeah. I remember what i look like. I comb my brown hair back as i try to look neat… which ends up being messy once more.
"What an odd predicament i found myself in," I mutter to myself. As i sighed heavily. Seeing the puddle ripple across its surface to reveal a different reflection.
A skull.
I back away, startled. Thats the most illogical…!
"Hm, you have finally awakened i see. My puppet." The puddle rose, taking shape as it slowly formed into a humanoid shape.
I start to stammer, words failing to come out of my mouth. Why did he seem familiar?!
"Ah… you dont seem to remember anything, do you puppet? Then i shall remind you. After all… i summoned you here."
"S-summoned?!" I blurt out, panicked. As it went to step towards me.
"Stay back!" I said. Trying to sound intimidating. But, my voice was trembling in the process. As it stepped towards me once more. I made one last effort… escape!
So, i ran as fast as i can away from that alley. That place. And soon found myself at a scrapyard.
"... What an odd way to start this evening," I mutter beneath my breath. Was it even evening? I look at the sky, daylight. Not even noon. So, it must be either the morning or mid-day.
"Nevermind."
I go to try to hide in the piles of discarded machinery and bolts. Hmm, perhaps I should stop before I accidentally stab myself and accidentally get tetanus.
Then, I realized. I could probably save myself with my newfound brain-power! Yes. Paper paper… there is a stump. But that can work.
I carve out schematics and prepare my work. I start building a robot with functioning parts that were still reusable.
Even with the capability to transform itself into a defensive mode… yes… It was coming together!
Once my project was complete. I stared in awe. It was a glorious project. I dont think i could have finished this, and or even though of such a magnificent machine.
A grey robotic simian appeared before me. Blinking, adjusting its new, yet used sensors
Installed. Before it turned to me. Blinking more, before it gained a happy look. "You… Must be my creator." The robot said in a monotone voice.
He then went on one knee, and bowed. His eyes closed as his long tail curled on the ground. "I am at your service. I shall obey your every command."
I remained silent for a moment before i pat the robot's head. "I have yet to give you a name… blank isnt a option." I say, and the monkey opened its black optic eyes. And looked up at me.
"I shall give you the name, L-01. Since you are the first of your kind." I say. Smiling, as the robot blinked back at me.
I jabbed my thumb at myself. And smiled.
"And you, can call me Luna. Or, Lu for short."
Alright! That was the first chapter. If you liked it! I would like to hear about it. If not, at least you got something to look at. But, what matters is that you keep on growing. Whether in skills and or your own hobbies.
Dont let your creativity die! Thank you for reading. It may be a while until a new chapter comes out.
