Gateworld Chapter one

I am a fan of the Stargate Series, in the case of fan fictions, I am surprised that there is no Gears of War crossovers or more than two Destiny stories. Though they may include Destiny at a later date.

So I ask this question, what would the Gears do to be rid of the Locust forever, let's find out.

I own Nothing

:Story Start:

Planet Sera-During the Act 3 of Gears of War 2-Season Five after Episode 4-Morning-Jacinto City

In the main building of the Coalition of Organised Government, or COG, was in the middle of a war with subterranean life forms known as the Locust. Currently they were in a state of Martial Law in the last safe city of the world. Under the leadership of Chairman Prescott in a dictatorship created from when the world was at a world war between four factions until only the COG remained as the only Government.

In the centre of the ancient castle, was a large stone ring that was surrounded by crates of ammo and supplies as the city was overflowing with civilians being forced to join the COG in order to survive. What freaked out many people was the sudden blue light coming from this Ancestral Ring of the Homeworld, a vertical pool of water flowing with energy before what appeared to be a small metal car with mechanical arm and cameras wheeled through.

Two Days Later-After the discovery of the Lambent and plan to destroy Jacinto City-Earth-Stargate Command (SGC)-Briefing room.

Sitting at the head of a briefing table was a bald Air Force General, wearing white shirt and dark blue pants listening to an overall nerd speak in front of a series of pictures, with an elderly man in green uniform, a Blonde woman wearing the same green uniform and a dark skinned male with golden emblem on his forehead, wearing the same uniform only without the long sleeved shirt revealing a tight black shirt. The Nerd continued, "General Hammond, this coming mission, I want to press a concern I have. The people on the other side are currently at war with an unknown entity and have requested."

"Doctor Jackson," the General spoke to the Nerd, "I understand your concerns which is why SG-1, will meet with this Coalition of Organised Governments to discuss trade while you have standing orders to evaluate this war."

The elderly man spoke, "Sir, what if we encounter more Space Nazies?"

"Return to the SGC under the pretense of contacting your Government Officials to organise an Ambassador to speak with them on trade or ending the war. Colonel O'Neill, I suggest you consider all the facts," Colonel Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neill nods at his orders before General Hammond turns to the woman and says, "Major Carter, please evaluate any technology they offer in trade, and Teal'c keep an eye on Doctor Jackson, he may step on a few toes," Teal'c the dark skin male nods before General Hammond finishes with, "SG-1 you have a go, in one hour."

One hour later they were suited up in military gear and standing at the base of a metal ramp in front of the Stargate, with a transport vehicle with equipment and supplies the people of Sera would need, an ancient device that creates an artificial Wormhole between two planets. SG-1's mission explore the galaxy and find technology and resources to protect Earth from the dangers of the Galaxy. Currently the Stargate rotated a series of symbols until they dialled seven symbols before the Wormhole opened, and a PA system was heard before a voice on the other side of the Stargate was heard, "Stargate Command, Sera Gate ready to receive your team."

General Hammond's voice was heard, "Thank you Sera, sending our team now," with that SG-1 walked up the ramp and into the wormhole and after three point four seconds later the team of four were on the other side of the Galaxy.

Planet Sera-Four Seconds later

SG-1 stepped through in time to see several soldiers known as Onyx Guards at attention with Chairman Prescot was standing across the courtyard ready to accept guests. Chairman Prescot was wearing dress uniform where he spoke, "People of Earth Welcome to Sera."

Doctor Jackson spoke up, "We have brought food and Medical supplies."

Chairman Prescot nods before stating, "It is welcome, please join me in our meeting hall. Colonel Hoffman and his team of Gears will join us to discuss trade."

SG-1 nodded at that as they followed after Chairman Prescot through a large castle where Doctor Jackson starts to comment, "This is a Gau'ald Castle, clearly abandoned by them but I don't know for how long without testing the materials."

Chairman Prescot spoke, "It is our Ancestral Homeland since our Ancestors first came to Sera from our forgotten Homeworld."

Doctor Jackson frowns before stating, "So Earth then," everyone looked at him strangely before he explained, "Several thousand years ago, several alien entities pretended to be Gods from our Mythology and taking ancient humans and used them to seed humanity around the Galaxy as thousands of worlds are now populated with human life in one form or another."

The Colonel spoke, "Daniel, we can discuss this inside," indicating the shocked soldiers moving past them in the facility. The Colonel then says, "Sorry about our resident Archaeologist, he discovered how to use the Stargate on Earth and basically since then has been right with every outlandish theory that rideculed him in the eyes of the public."

Chairman Prescot nods and says, "Then for our Cousins of Earth, we need to ensure that this trade agreement is completed. Though a question that many are hoping you may be able to answer. Can the Stargate be moved?"

"Yes," Major Carter states, "the Gate and the Dialling device is all that is needed to travel between worlds."

Chairman Prescot nods and leads them into a large meeting room where on one side was five Gears as the COG calls them wearing heavy armour. The first is an elderly man wearing a cap, the second is middle aged poorly shaven and wearing a bandana, the third is a man of Spanish decent apparently not sleeping right with the bags under his eyes, next is a blonde man with a head band tinkering on a device of unknown origin and finally was a dark skinned man with a perpetual smile on his face. Chairman Prescot introduces his men, "This is Colonel Hoffman, and Delta team, Marcus Fenix, Domminic Santiago, Damon Baird and Augustus Cole."

"The Cole Train BABY!" Cole shouts with enthusiasm.

"Colonel Jack O'Neill, Major Samamtha Carter, Doctor Daniel Jackson and Teal'c, spelt with an apostrophe before the 'C', of Earth," the Colonel introduced his team.

Santiago appeared annoyed being there as Colonel Hoffman shakes hands with the Colonel and says, "Welcome the shit show we call a war."

Colonel O'Neill shakes the Colonel's hand before asking, "Is it really that bad."

"You're in the last safe city where the Locust can't just dig through the ground to attack any human in sight," Colonel Hoffman states.

Doctor Jackson blinks before asking, "That is a good question, how did this war start?"

Chairman Prescot answer, "The COG had won the great war, we combined everyone under the leadership of the Coalition fifteen years ago. Only fourteen years ago the Locust burst from the ground and started killing any human in sight. Jacinto City is the most easily defended from the Locust. This Trade deal is to gain supplies in order to take back our world once we activate the Failsafe created my Proffessor Fenix."

Major Carter looked to Marcus and asks, "You are a scientist?"

"He is talking about my father. Apparently he was working with the Locust to stop an unknown threat," Prescot starts only for Santiago to stand and walk away in anger.

Colonel O'Neill frowns while asking, "What is wrong with him?"

Marcus answered with a gruff voice, "He recently found his missing Wife, the Locust tortured her and she committed suicide shortly after she was found. What the good Chairman," he was being sarcastic now as he continues, "has failed to inform you off is that about a hundred years ago, scientist experimented on humans in order to create the Locust."

"Fenix, I can have you shot," Prescot states.

"That would be one waisted bullet if you are really serious about defending this city still. Instead your Gears are being killed quicker due to the current siege on the city to get to this fortress where we hold the only weapons to sink Jacinto into the ocean and flood those caverns," Marcus states in anger before Colonel Hoffman places a hand on his shoulder.

Hoffman states, "We currently have a plan to end the Locust threat, but the plan was delayed so we could discuss a new option to retake Sera from the Locust."

"The Stargate, you could evacuate to a new planet," Doctor Jackson offers getting looks of agreement from the COGs only for Chairman Prescot to shoot him down from that idea.

"And surrender our history and our very world we have created for ourselves," Prescot counters before stating, "No that is not an option," this caused major red flags in SG-1's minds before Chairman Prescot continues, "What we need is ammunition, explosive ordinance, and a combustible fuel for our vehicles in order to evacuate Jacinto City and to take the Stargate with us in order to supply our troops."

O'Neill nods and says, "That is understandable, perhaps a tour of your base of its technology and other tradable commondities will help with trade between our people."

"Of course, the current Delta Team has been ordered to guard you during your stay in the event of Locust infiltrating our Fortress," Prescot states before standing, "Now if you will excuse me, I have plans to make."

Hoffman stands and says, "Colonel care to join me for a drink, to compare our two military structures."

O'Neill nods before saying, "Yes that would be interesting and while we do that, Major Carter can be shown your technology while Doctor Jackson sees some of your history."

"Major Carter is a scientist?" Baird asks staring up from what appears to be a detonator.

"Yes, I have a doctorate in Quantum Physics and our planets expert on Alien technology," Major Sam Carter states.

Baird chuckles and asks, "What about Jack?"

"Not so much," O'Neill states only for an invisible Robot to appear behind Marcus surprising everyone.

Baird states, "This is Jack, our support gear robot that turns invisible in combat."

Carter looks at the design and notices how advanced it was as she asks, "What powers it?"

'Jack' appeared to be insulted before vanishing from sight as Baird states, "Holographic system makes it appear invisible. That being said, you want to see our Technology come on," Baird being the resident ass hole, starts walking away as Major Carter rushed after him.

Augustus Cole looks to Teal'c and asks, "Where do you want to go, because the Cole Train is leading the charge."

Teal'c holding a grey staff simply states, "I have been ordered by General Hammond to assist Daniel Jackson with his research."

Marcus sighs and says, "Great guard duty for a doctor who digs up dirt."

"Not always, this room here is rather interesting minus all the damage. This appears to be the original throne room of whichever Gau'ald that was enslaving your people," Doctor Jackson states.

Marcus sighs and says, "The Archives then, there should be bunch of books there with more detailed notes on the engravings and history of Sera." Daniel Jackson and Teal'c went with Cole and Fenix out the room while the two Colonels left for Hoffman's office.

With Carter-Armoury

Carter was examining the standard issue COG Gear weapon the Lancer, the problem with the weapon was that she was struggling to lift the weapon much to Baird's amusement. Carter looks to the mechanism and asks, "Why is there an engine built into this?"

Baird sighs and says, "Well how do you think we fire our bullets when there is no combustible powder to launch said bullets out the guns? We melt down scrap and about twenty millilitres of Immulsion fuelling the firing mechanism we can keep fighting and use multiple ammunition types in the Lancer. Plus the amplifier system increases the power behind the bullets when you reload gets extra burst of energy to damage what you shoot."

Carter frowns at that, "Amplifier?"

"Yeah, can't your guns do that I mean it encourages you to actually get good at reloading quick," Baird was taunting Carter now.

Carter responded with, "Because we don't need it. But does all your weapons have that function?"

"Yeah, even the Locust, it has been a staple in our weapons since the end of the first hundred years of the Cold War," Baird states annoyed before he continued, "Plus with the discovery of Immusion Fuel, that war ended quickly when the war happened. With the Hammer of Dawn system." Carter raised an eyebrow at that.

With Daniel Jackson and Teal'c-Archives-Basement of the COG fortress.

Daniel Jackson was reading large books of information, which was fortunately in a dialect of Spanish that he understood. He was reading recent history that hadn't been updated in the last fourteen years. Though he learnt of the four hundred year Cold-War that the people of Sera had due to a resource shortage. Daniel just finished reading some of the oldest text before he spoke to Teal'c, "No mention of Gau'ald or anything from before three thousand years ago."

Teal'c simply states, "Perhaps the knowledge was lost."

Daniel states, "Then how does everyone know that they were transported here from Earth."

"No remains from more than six thousand years ago," Marcus states before including, "Plus the whole lack of ancient structures seen in ancient artworks, though the Locust have shown to have a style of construction that does not mention. That Stargate it can take anyone anywhere, Right?"

Daniel states, "Yes, many different worlds some endless deserts, never ending forests abandoned mines."

Cole smirks before asking, "Tropical Paradise?"

"Indeed," Teal'c said the thing! =P

Marcus and Cole appeared to have thoughtful smiles on their faces as they had their fantasies of a better life.

Later that Day-Stargate Courtyard

SG-1 minus Colonel O'Neill, were standing around their transport carrier with its original contents switched with some items that Carter was bringing back for study, multiple weapons, samples of Immusion Fuel, and a couple dozen written texts of Sera's history. Chairman Prescot had said his goodbyes as the two Colonels arrived and shakes their hands in goodbye before SG-1 dial's home before Carter sends a coded message through the gate where it would open the defence measures the SGC have in place to stop enemy entrance. SG-1 walked through the gate.

One hour Later-Debreif on first proper contact.

The boardroom table was littered with five weapons used by the COG, one Lancer, Snub Pistol, Sniper Rifle, a Laser Targeting system in a gun shape and finally what appeared to be a smoke grenade on a chain. Carter starts, "The weapons the People of Sera use is easily replicated and in a couple years of research can be used without their current fuel supply. There version of a Sniper Rifle is a miniature Railgun," Carter took a deep breath before stating, "Though Baird mentioned how they ended their world war between four Dictatorships," she lifts up the targeting system gun and says, "They call it the Hammer of Dawn, it is a personnel controlled Satellite laser weapon much like the Gau'ald weaponry on the ships only it is a concentrated beam of energy. Apparently it was how they forced the three other Governments to surrender after destroying major military assets before the Locust appear," she opened a manila file with a COG emblem showing the General pictures and drawings of the Locusts, "They also included film similar to Earth's early film making period no audio but impossible to fabricate evidence on."

General Hammond asks, "Who or what are these Locusts?"

Doctor Jackson speaks up, "According to our escorts the Locust was an experiment by the Coalition, a hundred to fifty local years prior who are being led by what appears to be a human woman whose voice is distorted."

"Gau'ald?" the General asks.

"Quite possibly. Much like Osiris, there is a good chance that the Gau'ald of that planet ever leaving. They may have been sealed and then found. Though I am concerned about the reasons for this war," Doctor Jackson states.

Carter nods before saying, "The technician, Private Damian Baird, stated that the Hammer of Dawn satellites are weapons of mass destruction and that it was used on civilian targets during the war."

General Hammond asks, "They just gave this information willingly?"

Carter handed him another Manila folder, which he opened and saw designs for a satellite, "They gave us the designs to build our own," Carter states.

General Hammond nods before looking to the silent O'Neill and asks, "What is you intake on the matter Colonel?"

The Colonel was silent for the moment before he says, "We cannot trust the Chairman," General Hammond nods until O'Neill concludes, "But Colonel Hoffman has implied that if we can offer them a planet to relocate too they would be able to evacuate everyone they can, along with supplies to restart on a new world."

"The Chairman didn't sound like he agreed with that plan," Daniel comments.

"That is because Hoffman is the highest ranking soldier that remains," O'Neill states before adding, "You know those fifty soldiers in clean armour? That was Prescot's personal guard and there is another two hundred of them, compared to the estimated four hundred soldiers protecting the city. The Chairman is also seen travelling by King Raven out the city and with ten of their Helicopters and then returning without explaining what he has been doing."

That was as far as he got when alarms went off and the voice of one of the technicians, "OFF WORLD ACTIVATION!" with that SG-1 stood and walked down the steps to the control room when they reached the room, "It is Bra'tac's IDC." The shield over the Stargate was opened and two men stepped through, one wearing silver armour holding the same Staff that Teal'c used and another man, bald wearing cream coloured clothing.

Carter says, "Dad?"

Teal'c comments, "And he has come with Master Bra'Tac."

General Hammond and SG-1 quickly moved to the Gate Room where Carter quickly hugged the man in cream colour clothing, "Hey, Sam."

Teal'c went to the man in ceremonial armour and the two shakes their Forearms in greeting and bowing lightly. Bra'tac spoke, "Teal'c, it is good to see you," the two stared into each other's eyes before nodding and Bra'Tac continued, "We have come with news for the people of the Tar'ii."

General Hammond nods before the seven returns to the briefing room and Sam's father and Bra'Tac were interested in the weapons, "I take it SG-1 just came back from a mission George?"

General Hammond nods before stating, "SG-1 just returned and were discussing a possible Trading partnership, Jacob, O'Neill was just informing us of his opinion on the matter."

"Which I believe that we should locate them a new planet for them," O'Neill stated simply causing General Hammond to nod. "So Jacob, why are did both you and Bra'Tac here through the same Stargate?"

Bra'tac answers, "The Tokra and some rebel Jaffa managed to claim several Gau'ald Hatacks and after talking with the Tokra, have began negotiations to teach the Jaffa how to repair and manage the systems of the Hatacks."

Jacob's head lowered before raising, as his voice was distorted as he speaks, "It has been agreed that each side should share the spoils of Apophis' fleets with your people, each side is sharing a single Gau'ald mothership each."

O'Neill comments, "Two Motherships?"

"Out of the twenty we claimed, and the six that the Tokra are giving us in exchange for an alliance and spies amongst the Gau'ald," Bra'tac states before mentioning, "The two ships will be fully stocked with cargo ships and four Alkesh, with minimal Gliders."

General Hammond asks, "Your two groups are being rather gifting compared to previous interactions. You especially, Selmack."

Jacob nods before 'Selmack' comments, "Frankly, due to your history with the system lords and what Jacob refers to as an 'IOU' it is preferred that we keep our alliance to each other. Much like an alliance with the Jaffa as the Gau'ald know that a Jaffa is easier to conceal as a spy amongst their ranks."

Bra'Tac nods as he states, "Yes, I have the gate address to your new ships. Though the Tokra are examining all the systems for any traps."

O'Neill asks, "I thought we destroyed Sokar's planet."

"Surprisingly a Jaffa known as Rak'Nor and several hundred rebel Jaffa raided the planet shortly after Apophis left to attack the Tokra's former base," Selmack adds, "Hence the new alliance with the Jaffa. Most of them wanted freedom from Sokar, even his Jaffa were against his ways enough to renounce the Gau'ald."

Bra'Tac then states, "The Tokra have shared their ways with the Jaffa and have given us Addresses of worlds abandoned by the Gau'ald to conceal our location."

"So where are these ships?" O'Neill states before Bra'tac hands Carter a piece of clothe with the Gate Address marked with paints.

Major Carter looks at the address before commenting, "General, this address is a half day journey to Sera."

General Hammond frowns before asking, "How many civilians are on Sera?"

"Hoffman stated that complete numbers are unknown due to Stranded groups being spread out around the planet," O'Neill states before adding, "Their city though has about ten thousand people."

Selmack spoke, "Using the Stargate, and only taking what they can carry it would take three days for that many people to be transported."

Doctor Jackson asks, "What about with a pair of Motherships?"

Selmack answered, "You could double the number of people to evacuate along with enough supplies to last a full years worth of supplies, even none essentials."

O'Neill then comments, "Such as vehicles and supplies."

"And the Stargate?" Daniel comments.

"Hoffman stated that the Locust have been evacuating the tunnels under the surface of the world in order to flood the tunnels themselves from an even more dangerous lifeform under the surface," O'Neill states before concluding, "They were planning on keeping the Stargate in the city before making it inaccessible on the planet by flooding the caves that honey comb their planet, sir."

General Hammond stands and says, "I should contact the President to get his input on the issue."

Major Carter then spoke, "I will locate the address of possible planets."

"Start with locations near the Planet Sera, if we need to make multiple trips," Daniel suggests.

Teal'c states, "Indeed."

Bra'tac makes his own comments, "I take it the people of Sera is where these weapons are located?"

"You are correct," General Hammond states.

Bra'tac lifts the Lancer and says, "I would like to meet this people," he examines the weapon, "They appear to be similar to the people of the Tau'rii."

O'Neill simply states, "Their Military appear to be skilled warriors, their leadership not so much."

General Hammond excused himself to make a phone call while SG-1 speaks with their guests. Major Carter spoke, "I am surprised that the Tokra were willing to hand over any Gau'ald motherships. What changed?"

"Private Tyler," Selmack states before his head was lowered and Jacob took control, "The Tokra want the information and possibly a sample of the chemical."

Bra'tac frowns and instead mentions, "The Tokra mentioned their plan to gift the Ha'tack, and many Jaffa felt honour bound to meet the pledge the Tokra have deemed ready to forge."

"You realised that you wanted to be the one to do it first," O'Neill jokes.

"No, a skilled and experienced warrior knows when to leave pride out of battle. Giving the spoils of Sokar's fleet to the ones who ensured Apophis' death, the rebel Jaffa feel that this would be a step in ensuring an allegiance with the Tau'rii," Bra'tac states and received a raised eyebrow from Teal'c only for Bra'Tac to nod to the silent question, as between them, O'Neill's joke was the truth.

O'Neill states, "Well now the President and the joint staff will be off my back with the replacement ships coming."

General Hammond walks back in and he states, "The President has agreed to the relocation of the people of Sera and has stated his excitement to the two Gau'ald Motherships and has agreed to use them with the possible relocation. That being said each ship will be given a science team to learn its controls and three squads each to handle security as the Tokra and Jaffa assist with teaching how to fly them."

Jacob then asks, "If Sera has any ring platforms it would assist with the evacuation."

Daniel states, "The Government Building is an old Gau'ald Castle and none of the texts have illustrated or spoken of finding any technology."

"Well, I know a Tokra that would enjoy seeing old stuff," Jacob states, "and she just so happens to need a new research project. I will send her back around when I return."

General Hammond states, "Very Well, SG-1 you will have go to return to Planet Sera, with supplies to give the Coalition time to evacuate the planet. Convince the Chairman to relocate by the time Jaffa and Tokra to arrive with the two Motherships to begin evacuation. Dismissed." Everyone nods at that before everyone starts moving.

With that Jacob and Bra'Tac returned to the Stargate and back to the planet they came from where an hour later a member of the Tokra returned that caused two members of SG-1 to smile at the whom the Tokra sent.
