A.N: Hello again, everyone! Here's a short oneshot that was suggested by my friend WiiFan2009 on my Tumblr askbox, so huge thanks to him! For those who follow my timeline, this fic takes place during Chapter Fifteen of my first main story, The Academy of Hope, although no specific knowledge of this story is required to read this one. Just know that there are some heavy spoilers for DR1, so watch out for that. I hope you like it!

Makoto laid on his bed with his girlfriend Kyoko right next to him, although she was sitting in a much more civilized way than the Luckster was. She had already warned him about potential back pain in the future if he continued to slump everywhere he sat, but he was just too stubborn.

The credits began to roll, leaving both boyfriend and girlfriend quite disappointed. Romance movies usually hit the spot for both of them, but not today. Bad acting, predictable plot, boring story… In a nutshell, nothing worth an award.

"Had you not been there to watch this terrible movie with me, this would have been a waste of my time," Kyoko said without remorse. "I hope the producer survives the Tragedy just so I can tell them how bad their work is."

Makoto chuckled. "You're being a little cold, but I can't disagree with you," he admitted, turning off the TV and standing up to get the CD out of the player. "This movie wasn't so good."

"You can say that again…" the Ultimate Detective added, waiting for her boyfriend to come back. "So, what should we do now? It's still too early for dinner. Another movie might be too long, though."

"Yeah, you're right about that," the Ultimate Lucky Student agreed with a nod, adopting a thinking pose. What could we do now…? We've done pretty much everything we could do inside this shelter already, so it's getting hard to come up with anything new…

The two were deep in thought for a couple of minutes, glancing at each other only to realize that they were coming up empty. Suddenly, though, a lightbulb appeared over Makoto's head.

"I got it!" he turned towards his girlfriend, prompting her to give him a funny look. "What about a game of truth or dare, Kyoko?"

The lavender-haired girl smiled at the idea. "Sure. I'll admit I haven't ever played truth or dare before, but that could be fun."

"Cool!" the boy walked over to the bed again and sat there. His fingers brushed Kyoko's left glove, and a couple of seconds afterward, it was resting on Makoto's nightstand, and their bare fingers were intertwined. The feeling made the Luckster's heart flutter. "So, hm… Should you start?"

Kyoko nodded. "Sure. Although… you already know my biggest secret. So… dare, I suppose."

"True that…" About her childhood friend Yui and what led her to wear these gloves… He recalled, trying to improvise. "Well… I dare you to…" he paused one last time, still thinking. Suddenly, he grinned. "… send a fake love letter to Hifumi!"

The girl facepalmed as her boyfriend looked at her, very proud of his little stunt.

"You realize that you're my boyfriend…? You're the last person who should dare me to do this, Makoto," she sighed. "Besides, couldn't you have chosen a close friend of mine, like Sakura or Hina…? It would have been just as embarrassing, but still…" seeing the grin on his lips not disappear, she relented. "Fine, fine, I'll do it later… I'll get you for that, though, Makoto Naegi…"

Uh-oh… Makoto gulped as Kyoko said that, especially when a smirk of her own made its way onto her pretty features. "Y-Your turn now…"

"Oh, you bet!" she told him. "Truth or dare?"

I don't even want to imagine what she'll have me do if I say dare, so… "Truth, I guess."

"Oh-oh, what a great choice, Mr. Naegi!" she playfully taunted. "I want to know your most embarrassing secret!"

Makoto paled. He knew right away what his most embarrassing secret was, and this was something he would have liked to keep to himself, honestly. He sighed, already regretting suggesting this game to his girlfriend. She had turned it into an investigation!

"You're gonna mock me so much for this…" he muttered, blushing. "I… Argh, this is so embarrassing!"

"Hey, you aren't going to chicken now, Makoto! I'm writing this love letter to Hifumi, so you have to tell me now!" the purple-eyed girl warned teasingly. "So, what is it?"

Yep, definitely a bad idea in hindsight… "O-Okay, well…" his cheeks turned as red as Leon's hair from embarrassment. "I-I've actually wet the bed until fifth grade…"

The Luckster (who didn't feel so lucky right now!) felt his face was going to burn if he continued to blush so red. He fiddled with his hoodie, trying to avoid the embarrassment. His girlfriend's expectant eyes on him didn't help either.

T-This is so humiliating! He thought, hearing Kyoko chuckle next to him. He turned in her direction, seeing her hide her giggles with her second hand. "H-Hey, don't laugh! I'm feeling humiliated!"

"A-Apologies, Makoto, but this was really unexpected," she told him, showing him a genuine smile. "Besides, this does sound like something only you would keep secret, haha."

"T-That's not funny…!" he let go of her hand and crossed his arms, pouting like a sad puppy. "I shouldn't have suggested we play truth or dare, anyway!"

Kyoko shook her head amusingly. "I'm not mocking you, Makoto. I'm just saying that you're the only person whose most embarrassing secret would be this. It shows you don't have anything to keep secret, which is good. Besides, it's not like you're still wetting the bed today, right?"

The Ultimate Lucky Student waved his hands around in denial. "N-No, no! G-Geez, don't aggravate things, Kyoko!" he urged her, his eyes widening at the thought. "We're eighteen… That would be more than humiliating!"

The Kirigiri detective stopped giggling and instead smiled warmly at her classmate and lover. As embarrassed as he was feeling right now, Makoto had to admit that he quickly missed his girlfriend's giggles. Seeing Kyoko freely display her emotions was always so fun for the lucky student. But seeing her smile like this was good enough, too.

"It's alright, Makoto, don't worry. Your secret is safe with me, and I'm actually glad you told me," she smacked him on the lips, chuckling when his cheeks turned red again. "And I don't love you any less now that you've told me about it. Although…" she also blushed, her eyes not really meeting his. "I think it would be better if we stopped there, or we'll be too embarrassed when we go have dinner with the others later."

Makoto nodded in agreement and laughed. "Yeah, you're probably right."

She leaned in and kissed him again, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him closer. Makoto didn't resist it and deepened the kiss, easing his worries away. His tongue brushed hers as he began to sweetly stroke her back.

When they pulled away, they stared silently inside each other's eyes, Makoto's hazel meeting her purple orbs.

"Love you, Makoto."

"Love you more, Kyoko."

She smiled at him adorably, and when she thought that she could get away, Makoto smirked at her.

"Don't forget that you've got a letter to write, missy."

And suddenly, the Ultimate Detective was the one blushing a very cute shade of red.

The End.

A.N: It's been a while since I wrote anything in relation to my first main story! I had this idea in my notes for quite a while but I had never found an opportunity to write it. And I had missed writing some casual Naegiri, too! Anyway, I hope you liked it. Please leave a review, and I hope you have a nice day :)
