Author Note: Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I am still currently working on the new fanfiction and it should be out soon but in the meantime be sure to enjoy this one take story for Mother's Day. I will be back in June with a father's day fanfiction.
Character Summary:
Kurt is the husband of Jane and the father of Bethany. He still works for the FBI.
Jane is the wife of Kurt and the mother of Bethany. She is currently on maternally leave until Bethany is three months old.
Bethany is the daughter of Kurt and Jane.
Kurt knew that his wife was about to have a hard time leaving their daughter which was hard on him. He wanted to make Mother's Day special for her since it was the weekend before she went to work. He walked into the house after a long day at the office to find Jane sitting with their daughter.
"Hey." Kurt greeted his wife.
"Hi, how was your day?" Jane asked her husband.
"It was fine until Reade decided that he wanted to drive." Kurt said to her as he sat down next to her and reached for their daughter. Jane knew that this is what her husband needed which was fine. She handed her daughter over to him and watch their interaction. Kurt was an amazing father already and their daughter was about to turn three months old.
"I wanted to talk to you about something." Jane said to her husband with a small smile.
"What's going on?" Kurt asked his wife.
"I do want to go back to work but just part time because of the baby being so young and then I wanted to see how I feel. I don't want to feel that I am missing out on her being so young." Jane revealed to her husband.
"So what you are saying that you might be coming back but it's only for a little bit?" Kurt asked her. He knew that she wanted to stay home with their daughter which he is fine with. He also knew that he wanted to spend time with her at work.
"Yes but I want to make sure that you are okay with it." Jane responded to her husband.
"I want to make sure that you are doing what is best for you and I am okay with it. I love you and our daughter. If this is something that is important to you then I want you to be happy." Kurt said to her with a smile.
"Thank you for understanding." Jane said to her husband with a smile of her own. Kurt knew that this was a hard call for her to make but knew that it was for the best.
The next morning, Kurt woke up before his wife. He wanted to make her a special breakfast since today was Mother's Day. It was her first Mother's Day. Kurt walked downstairs and went into the kitchen. While he was in the kitchen, Jane woke up and went to go check on their daughter.
"Good morning, sweet girl. I know that this will be a bit of a normal day but I think that your daddy is planning something today. You see that today is Mother's day." Jane told her daughter as she picked up the sweet little girl. She walked her daughter back into her bedroom. Kurt returned into the bedroom with her breakfast about twenty minutes later.
"Hey, did I forget to leave a note saying stay in bed?" Kurt joked with his wife.
"No you did but I still wanted to see our daughter." Jane responded back to her husband with a smile. She knew that her husband was joking. "So what do you have for me?"
"All of your favorite food." Kurt responded as he put the breakfast tray down before taking their daughter so Jane could eat. Jane watched as her husband and daughter interacted.
"So what do you want to do today?" Kurt asked his wife.
"I just want to stay in bed all day as a family." Jane responded to her husband with a smile.
"Well that is too bad because I made some plans for us to go do." Kurt revealed to her with a smile.
"Are you sure about this?" Jane asked her husband.
"Yeah I am sure that I wanted to do something special for you." Kurt responded to her with a smile. "You have given me so much joy and I wanted to show you the same amount if not more."
"Kurt, you don't have to thank me. I see it every time that I see you around our daughter and myself how much we mean to you." Jane said to her husband.
"Will you let me spoil you today out of all days?" Kurt responded to her. "I know that you don't like this kind of attention but today is about you."
"Okay. So will you tell me what you have planned?" Jane responded to him.
"Well first, I thought that it would be wonderful to get family pictures done." Kurt responded to her with a smile.
"We have family photos throughout the house. How many more do we need?" Jane asked her husband.
"We do have family photos, I do admit but we have done them ourselves. These ones, I would love to have professionally done." Kurt responded to her with a smile.
"Okay, what else do you have planned for today?" Jane asked him.
"You will have to wait and see." Kurt responded to her with a smile. He knew that she was going to like today.
"Yeah, I am going to wait and see." Jane responded to her husband.
The day went great. They got some cute photos done.
