Gwen started tapping her foot on the dock. The dock began to creak even more ominously than it did before, so she quickly stopped.
She rolled her eyes as yet another yacht pulled up to the other end of the dock, carrying another skimpily dressed girl, this one with red hair. She ran on the boat's deck, hit the guardrail at full speed, and careened off said boat, hitting her chin on the dock.
As the Hispanic girl called Courtney tried to pull her up out of the water, Gwen huffed. How much more campers were they going to introduce? She just wanted to get to her cabin, and wait out this stupid reality show.
She turned her head slightly, and caught sight of the boy carrying a guitar. He gave her a dazzling smile, and she felt herself blush, despite herself. She turned to study the campgrounds once again, carefully avoiding the gaze of a nerd with brown bangs.
She looked over the crummy camp, and was about to turn back, when something caught her eye. She jerked her head back to the spot she had seen something, somewhere near the tree line. It was gone.
She blinked, then turned back to Chris, who was thankfully wrapping things up. She tried to push what she saw out of her head, but it still gnawed at her mind.
Chris pulled out a camera. "OK, we need to get a picture for the promos, so everyone…"
The sound of a motor, a boat motor, interrupted Chris. Everyone turned to see yet another yacht approaching the dock.
Harold did what he did best, pointing out obvious facts. "Isn't that another boat?"
"Yeah…", said Chris, slowly. "But that doesn't make sense…"
The boat pulled up in identical motions to the dock. A large suitcase was thrown from the boat, followed by a man stepping onto the dock. Not a teenager, clearly a man. He had wild, tussled hair, an extremely slender body, and a bright blue suit.
"Right-O.", said the man, showing off a Cockney accent. "I'm here for the reality show competition."
"Uh, are you sure, kid?", said Chris, confusion written on his face. "We've already got all twenty-two contestants."
Kid? The man had to be a little younger than Chris, if not the same age. She looked to the man and started. There he was, a teenager of sixteen. She narrowed her eyes; she could've sworn he was a thirty-something adult.
"Actually, if you'll look at the paperwork, you'll see that I'm down for the competition.", said the man… er, boy, giving a slightly condescending smile.
Chris pulled out a stack of paperwork, idly fingering his walkie-talkie just in case, and looked through it. It happened in a moment; the boy moved imperceptibly, and Chris' face glazed over.
Dazed, he looked over at the contestants. "There seems to have been a mistake. We have twenty-three contestants; it's all right here."
The Asian girl, Heather, muttered, "Great. More losers to beat." Though, Gwen noticed, she had a slight blush whenever she looked to the boy.
"This is the Doctor!", said Chris, still looking slightly clueless.
Duncan, the punk, scoffed. "You're a teenage doctor? What are you, Doogie Howser?"
Everyone stared at Duncan, including the Doctor. "They… they play a lot of old sitcoms at juvie."
"I don't get it.", said Lindsay. "Doctor who?"
"Just the Doctor will suffice.", said the newcomer, smiling a mysterious smile.

OK, this is something new I'm trying out. I'm going to create a fanfic universe, in the same vein as the Infinity Crisis series. I'm going to call it the Asher 'Verse, Asher being my middle name. This will be the first story in the first phase of this universe; they'll be other stories I'll be writing simultaneously, so be on the lookout for any fic of any category that has the words 'Asher 'Verse Phase 1' in the description. Or, you could just do it the easy way, and look them all up on my profile.
