The blonde wizard sat at the bar in the Fairy Tail guild hall resting her chin on her arms wondering how she would ever pay her rent this month, it had been a while since she had gone on a job with her team that she was low on jewel. She sighed heavily as the silver haired mage walked over smiling.

"What's the matter Lucy?" She asked curious, the mage called Lucy looked over slowly sitting up a little.

"Money issues, it's been a while since I did jobs with Natsu and the others I'm low on rent money" She replied honestly. The silver haired mage pressed her finger to her chin thinking before nodding as she rummaged through a cupboard producing a book and a letter handing them to Lucy.

"This might help" She said patting Lucy gently on the head. Lucy looked and smiled as she read the letter I am in need of a wizard to decipher the contents of this book, I have had numerous people look it over but none have been able to work out its contents. Reward of one hundred thousand jewel. Lucy's eyes lit up reading the reward money before hopping up to her feet heading for the door.

"Thanks Mira" she called out to the silver haired mage waving as she slipped out the door. This type of thing was right up her alley she thought skipping her way home, what she lacked in strength and fighting ability she quickly made up for in intelligence and luck.

Entering her home Lucy quickly placed the book on her desk pulling up a chair as she poured herself a drink grabbing some extra books about how to break codes before she began to go to work.

A few moments passed as Lucy wrote and rewrote notes leaning back as she stretched up to prevent her back seizing up, this was going to be harder than she thought as she looked over everything she had so far. Standing up she walked over to a window opening it to let some air in, as she did this a strong wind blew in catching pages off the book flipping them quickly.

"Damn" Lucy muttered to herself as she dashed to the book trying to find the place she had gotten up to before something caught her eye. Across the middle of the page seemed to be red writing nothing like what she had seen so far, as she looked closer she saw they spelled words she understood.

"Arca mementos impediment" She said out loud to herself, as she spoke the letters began to glow as if responding to her. She stared intently at the words unable to tear her gaze from them, her vision began to blur as she looked a fog rolling into her mind as she stumbled falling to the floor unconscious.

Lucy woke with a start looking around her room, it took her a few moments to realise she was laying comfortably in bed pushing the covers off she swung her legs over the side. Slowly standing she made her way over to her desk and found it empty. Where was that weird book? She began looking around her room not finding anything she sighed wondering how she would ever explain this to Mira.

Throwing on her white shorts, blue tank top and trainers she made for her door heading for the guild hall. As she walked she thought about what she had been doing, what was that strange feeling? She remembered falling to the floor so how had she ended up in bed? Had Natsu or one of the other guild members invited themselves in like they normally did and found her? Looking around she saw everything seemed normal, she approached the castle like building of the guild hall and pushed open the heavy doors.

As she stepped through she realised something was off, looking around she didn't see the regular faces she knew all too well. There was no sign of Macao or Wakaba, she made her way to the bar before her eyes fell on the blue haired mage, her best friend Levy but something again was off. Lucy knew that Levy's group consisted of Jet and Droy so why was she now discussing a job with Minerva and Yukino.

As Lucy reached the bar she looked up and down before spotting the familiar silver hair of Mira she walked right to her smiling, hopefully now she could get some answers.

"Hi Mira, can I ask you something?" Lucy said as Mira turned to her smiling widely.

"Of course guild master" Mira replied. Lucy looked at her confused turning around expecting to see Makarov standing with her, not seeing him she looked back at Mira who was still smiling at her.

"Guild master?" Lucy asked confused before pointing to herself "you mean me?"

"Of course" Mira said tilting her head to one side curious "Who else would I mean?" Lucy slowly backed away a little confused and scared as she dashed out of the hall the voices of other members calling out to her as she stood in the courtyard.

"What is going on here?" Lucy cried out to the sky.

Well this is my first fanfiction for Fairy tail and honestly I wasn't sure this would be seen by anyone but as I wrote it, I just enjoyed it so much I thought to myself why not upload it? So I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it, as has already seen the guys are going to be removed from it in terms of being part of the Fairy tail guild, they will be like Minerva and Yukino in different guilds. Not sure if there will be any pairings at this stage but maybe in the future
