"Seriously Mione its Sunday why in the name of Merlin are you doing work," Ron asked her a look of puzzlement on his face.

"Because Ronald, the government is in disarray and Kingsley needs help establishing an effective government that won't let Death Eaters claim they were imperiused like they did after the last war," she told him tucking an errant curl behind her ear with one hand while she scribbled notes with the other.

"I didn't think it was possible for you to get more boring Mione, but you have, this is like those silly homework planners you gave us for Christmas all over again," the redhead told her, stuffing a handful of nuts into his mouth.

"Oh, so sorry that I decided to put the safety of our country as a priority, those planners were useful it's not my fault you decided not to use them, instead you constantly copied my homework not using the brain you were born with" she muttered angrily.

"Well, you let me so who's the bigger idiot," he shouted at her, his face turning purple.

"You, it's not just me you've copied off, have the Aurors realised that you are copying Harry's homework yet," she screamed angrily.

"Hey, don't bring me into this," Harry called from where he and Ginny were playing Wizards Chess at the other side of the room.

"I don't copy Harry we do it together," he told her.

"Oh of course you do," she muttered disbelievingly.

"We do besides we've gotten off topic, you've become boring Mione all you ever do is work," her redheaded friend told her, gestating madly with his hands.

"I do more than just work thank you very much," she told him flipping to a different page in the book that floated in front of her.

"Mione, you brought six textbooks and a massive pile of paperwork to Sunday dinner," he told her pointing at the large pile she'd laid out on the coffee table in the Burrow's living room.

"Just because I take pride in my work Ronald does not mean I don't have fun," she told him dismissively scribbling another note on the paper in front of her.

"I'm worried about you, since we broke up you don't do anything but work," he told her sitting down beside her.

"Ronald, we had one date after kissing during the Final Battle, I'd hardly call it worthy of a breakup we weren't in a relationship and it certainly wasn't significant enough to effect what I do with my life, "she muttered.

"You haven't dated anyone since, I've dated a few people," he told her.

"You haven't dated anyone, you've shagged any harlot that throws themselves at you and don't care that your sexual exploits are splashed all over the tabloids," she told him.

"Fine there's been more than a few but still you need to start dating, your young Hermione," he told her patting her back encouragingly.

"I date, I have a boyfriend," she muttered absentmindedly as she focused on reading an outdated Werewolf law in one of the books before her, scribbling much needed amendment.

"What boyfriend," Ginny asked looking up from her game of chess for the first time as the floo flared to life emitting her twin brothers.

"Hermione you left one of your books at the flat," Fred spoke as he stepped out of the fireplace holding a book out to the girl on the sofa.

"Thank you, Freddie," she said with kind smile.

"No problem love," he smiled sitting down beside her, his arm loosely wrapped around her, Ron, Harry, and Ginny stared at the pair.

"What's going on here," George asked looking at his siblings and Harry bemusedly.

"Your dating Fred," Ginny spluttered.

"Well, they haven't been hiding it, we've known about them for months haven't we Mollywobbles," Arthur chuckled from where he sat reading a paper in one of the overstuffed armchairs.

"Sneak away at every opportunity together," Molly agreed with a fond smile.

"How did we not know about this," Ron asked shocked, Hermione just shook her head and snuggled into Fred's side. Her friends wouldn't ever be the most observant and some, Ron especially could be unintentionally cruel, she'd let him believe she was boring and prioritised work over everything. Only the twins would ever know that the reason she was trying to get her work done on a Sunday was because she'd spent most of the weekend in Fred's bed instead of finishing her reform work for Monday.
