Weiss Schnee – Lightning Hail Storm - Prologue

Ethan Miklaus was a very particular human, never straying from his beliefs ever since he cemented them. When he was 13 sitting by the window in his room listening to the storm outside as hail crashed onto his home and lightning flashed above, he swore to never abide by society, never to be "productive". His interests lie in, as the Japanese say, Hikikomori, watching anime, reading manga, playing games, looking up things that interested him, etcetera.

In his 19 years of living he had never once deviated from his self-imposed rule, stubbornly clinging to it like a lifeline. He used the money he inherited from his grandparents to buy a little apartment near a coast. Coasting by on the hard-earned money of his, now dead, family. He had never gotten a job and refused to do even a bit of manual labor unless it directly benefited himself, thus his slightly overweight body, regardless of how little he ate.

As of now, in his dingy little apartment sitting on his bed reading some news about upcoming manga, he groaned. His neck had been bothering him for a while now with chronic pain stemming from his brain.

"Shit", he cursed as he gripped his head in agony. He held that position until the pain went away. "Gotta get to a hospital now. Fuck!"

Ethan got dressed in plain clothes, not caring what he wore, and walked out, his destination, the only hospital within the city. A walk for sure but he decided to use that time to clear his head a bit. *CRACK* Thunder sounded above him, about to be a thunderstorm. He continued on his way, not minding the noise, in fact it comforted him in a way, calming his head as he walked.

Ahead of him was the hospital, bright lights and all. It wasn't a busy night out, so he figured it was alright to cross the road. As he made his way across thunder struck right above him, louder than anything he had heard before, he looked up, startled. Bright blue light filled his vision as he felt the combined might of a lightning bolt crash down on him and his heavy migraine assault his being.

Before all went dark.

Ethan woke to the emptiness of the void, darker than dark. The blackest thing in existence, a place devoid of life. He looked to himself in wonder as he saw nothing but a ball of light hovering in this darkness, the only thing alight here.

"Greetings Ethan" A voice burst into being, the sound coming from all around him as he looked around. "Whose there! Where are you?!" Ethan sounded, startled and alarmed.

"I am one of many existences that can be called gods, one who need not introduce theirself to you, for you will not be here long." The amalgamation of voices young, old, man and woman sounded to him from this entity that surrounded Ethan, told him. "You will be given 3 wishes and wherever you wished to be reincarnated."

Ethan was surprised, never expecting this to happen, but he wasn't going to mess this up, an event like this was never likely to happen to him again so he hurried to think up his wishes. He already knew where and who he wanted to reincarnate as, Weiss Schnee from RWBY. There wasn't any real reason as to why, but she had been his favorite of the team, although he never got passed volume 4, he did read fanfiction often about it.

One of the only reasons that could come to mind would be her semblance, in particular the summoning glyphs, he had some ideas on where to expand on that. First though his wishes.

Ethan 'looked' up into the void and began "My first wish is to have my soul become the INCARNATION of LIGHTNING." The voice sounded shocked "WHAT! DO YOU EVEN REALISE THE IMPLICATIONS OF WHAT YOU ARE ASKING! To change a souls nature to that of an INCARNATION would mean you would forever be that which you embody. You chose LIGHTNING, the most erratic and destructive of all possible elements." Ethan smiled, "Ofcourse, to live as strong as possible one would need might, and I will be as greedy as possible to get what I want."

The silence stretched on for what seemed like an hour "Granted." The being spoke, awaiting Ethan's next wishes.

"For my second wish, I wish to have innate Parallel Thinking starting with 2 'Rooms'." The entity didn't even wait a second before replying "Granted".

"Finally, my third wish is to have no limits to my potential in all things. To be able to raise every skill I have, every physical and mental 'stat' I have, through rigorous training. Never being capped in my capabilities, and to pass on this 'skill' to those close to me."

"Very well, now tell me the place you wish to reincarnate to and as who."

Ethan's body of light grew bigger and brighter with each wish made, changing the color to a blue so bright he looked like the sun only with lightning flashing around him, creating an aura. He was happy as he made his last request, "In the world of Remnant as Weiss Schnee." It seemed to be an easy world with little true danger, but enough to get him excited at the adventure to come.

"Very well. Goodbye Ethan, no Weiss Schnee. We will never meet again."

Ethan's ball self flashed away into a crack in space-time that appeared under him. He was ready for his next adventure in this new world. As his consciousness started to slip, whatever type of vision he had before vanished as he travelled through the space between the multiverse. He finally fell asleep as the portal/crack opened unto the world of remnant, a hospital being his final thoughts.

Authors Note – Somanjeese here, just wanted to thank you for reading the prologue to my first ever fanfiction. I'm not really accustomed to writing but I'll do my best!

This was a story I thought of literally not 2 hours ago, and I just HAD to write it down. As for my reasons to pick those powers, it's mostly down to 1- I like lightning, 2- Parallel Thinking is SUPER useful, and 3- END GOAL is basically godhood (spoilers, oops). Tell me how I did and if there is anything I can do to improve, thanks in advance!

Anyway thank, later blah blah… Ta-ta!
