"That blasted rabbit, there's gotta be something on him I can use," Pete mumbled to himself as he made it look like he was just moving boxes as he worked in the prop room underneath the old House of Mouse. When Mickey and Oswald had gotten him arrested for attempting to use and change the past with the professor's time machine, the cat found himself stuck in jail. With Putrid Pete's help, he managed to make bail only to be arrested again after Julius' plan to capture the whole family failed at the hands of Minnie Mouse. They had given him a chance to do some good by doing community service and he ended up with reorganizing the prop basement under the watchful eyes of police officer Patterson. Now that Oswald was under the Disney Company, anything left of his props became property of Disney and stowed away under the House of Mouse for safe keeping. Pete figured this is what the human side of the Disney Archives looked like as he worked his way through old trunks of Mickey's costumes to Oswald's corner.
The amount was small, Universal didn't think it was important to save anything, but Pete found a few boxes quickly packed up when Oswald's contract came back. A pair of old blue shorts, a small rabbit toy, just useless junk to Pete's search. He threw a glance over at the guard that was supposed to be watching him before he quickly emptied out the first box and opened the second, finding more black and white junk. He threw out a checker board, the pieces flying away, only to stop as a piece of paper taped to the board caught his attention.
He flipped over the board and laughed at what he had found. This was exactly what he wanted. Actually, it was better. He would've never have guessed Mickey Mouse's brother capable. "Oh, Officer Peterson!" Pete called out, putting on a sweet smile as he turned around. He made his way carefully out of the section, finding the officer standing there with his hand resting on the handle of his pistol at his hip.
