CHAPTER ONE, PT 1:
The outbreak
POV: GrayJuviaThey have been locked inside that classroom for hours without being able to leave. The only thought of going out and being killed by those monsters was terrifying. Screams and loud noises of things being broken were the only things that kept them from trying to get out.
His dark black hair covered his face while his arms were laying over his knees as he was sitting on the floor. -How are we going to get out of here..?- He murmured with his deep voice.
The girl standing in front of him turned away from the locked door and walked towards the window. -What's happening..? Everyone started attacking each other and suddenly this place became a blood festival...- she scaredly said while watching from far away how a teacher got eaten away by some students. She covered her mouth in surprise and closed the curtains in a hurry.
They were the only ones in that classroom. It was almost night when everything started. Luckily not many students stay at University after seven o'clock, so it was an advantage for them when looking for a place to hide.
Juvia was on her way home and Gray was training on the field for the upcoming baseball match when everything started. Suddenly they ended up together in that classroom when trying to escape the horrible death scene.
-Your name is Juvia, right?- Gray lifted his face and asked nicely while looking at her sitting on the professor's desk.
-Oh, yeah. Juvia Loxar, nice to meet you. You are Gray, right?-
-Have we met before?-
-We haven't actually "met" but we took some classes together before-
-Oh, right- he remembered her now. Her light blue curled hair was not too difficult to miss. -So... any ideas on how can we get out of here without being eaten away?-
-Not really... Have you tried calling someone? My phone is dead...-
-Mine says there's no signal-
Gray stood up from the floor and peeked through the curtains to see if he could spot anyone alive, but a screem of help caught their attention.
-Who was that?!-
Gray walked over the door and tried to listen if there was any of those creatures near by. Nothing. -Maybe this is our chance...- he reached the doorknob, unlocked it and softly turned it to open the door.
-What are you doing..?!- she whispered terrified.
-The corridor is empty. This is our chance- Juvia doubted for a second but then came to the realization that she could not stay in there forever and followed him outside.
The corridor was empty. Not a single soul. The only thing filling the place was the smell of blood and despair. Everyone had vanished and left a red trace behind. -This is a blood pool...-
-Over here- Gray started walking at a fast speed while making sure not to make any sound. They turned around a corridor but kept going straight after seeing a bunch of those things bumping into each other trying to enter a class with screaming people.
Luckily for them, the entrance was located near the classroom they were locked, so they did not have to run a lot. But a sudden voice made them stop before leaving the building.
-Gray..!-
