Thank you to the Admin of Draco's Den for running this event. I always enjoy writing redeemed Kylo/Ben, and getting to pair him with a character I've never written before was quite the challenge. I loved it and I hope you all do too! Happy reading! xxDustNight
Huge thank you to GaeilgeRua for allowing me the use of her Grammarly subscription to read this over. Any other mistakes are definitely my own

Prompt: Riddikulus + Tracey Davis/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren
Tracey gently traced her fingertips along the contours of Kylo's body as he slept. It was late, so late, in fact, that some would say it was nearly early. She smiled to herself as she relished this time to just admire how lucky she was and how beautiful her husband was as well. If someone had told her three years ago that she'd be married and living with someone from another galaxy, she would have told them to eat their hat.
Snuggling closer to her lover, Tracey thought back on what led her to such happiness...
Growing up, Tracey had kept to herself both in and out of Hogwarts. With her head down and a quest for knowledge, she'd stayed mostly quiet at school. One of the rare Slytherins who had friends in other houses, Tracey spent most of her time in the library with Hannah Abbott and Luna Lovegood. With the Golden Trio from Gryffindor and Draco and his friends always in the spotlight, it was easy enough to fade into the background.
Despite the excitement around her, Tracey's life was anything but. Her seven years at Hogwarts had proven that without much to do. Living through those seven hellish years was enough to make anyone believe that life would be thoroughly unexpected in what was dished out to you... If you were someone important. By the time she was fifteen, Tracey knew nothing extraordinary would ever happen in her personal life. Nevertheless, she persevered, forging a path all of her own despite the chaos that ran rampant around her.
Eight years after leaving Hogwarts and the war she never fully understood behind, Tracey worked in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable. Having always been rather shy, this was the perfect position for her as she never had to make idle conversation with co-workers or make countless friends. She still had Hannah Longbottom and Luna Scamander as friends, but that was it. Tracey kept to herself and preferred it that way.
One day, as she was sorting through some files in the back rooms, she noticed a strange cabinet pushed into a corner. Frowning when she realized it had no identification tag, Tracey used her wand to open the cabinet door. As the lock released, it eased open with a creak of disuse. As slowly as it began, the door burst open in an explosion of light and colour, sending Tracey backwards.
She hit the ground hard, her bottom aching from the impact. That didn't stop her, though. Tracey held her wand aloft as she pushed to her feet just in time to feel terror race through her veins. Squinting into the myriad of light and darkness, Tracey tried to figure out what was coming out of the cabinet and heading right for her.
As a tall, masked man in a dark robe emerged from the cabinet, Tracey gasped and held her wand out in front of her with purpose. Thinking it a boggart, she scrounged up some funny images of Death Eaters tripping over their robes and shouted, "Riddikulus!"
Instead of the spell working as it usually would and turning what she saw into something funny so she could lock it back in the cabinet, it continued to move toward her. The man growled and said, "Ridiculous? Ridiculous?! I am not ridiculous!" Then, he held up his hand and slowly began to squeeze the air, but nothing happened.
Surprised that the man had talked, she realized that this must, in fact, be a real person and not a boggart. In an attempt to stop him, Tracey tried a different spell, "Expelliarmus!" When no wand flew toward her, she tried yet another, "Petrificus Totalus!" This did have the desired effect, causing the man to stiffen and then topple over.
Finally, Tracey was able to take a deep breath, calming herself after the ordeal. Lowering her wand, she now saw that whoever he was, wore a mask she did not recognize. He was not a Death Eater… But if not one of the Dark Lord's followers, then who and what was he?
Using the tip of her boot, she nudged the man onto his back and then said, "I am going to remove my spell and then you are going to answer my questions. You will not harm me, or I will knock you out with a Stupify." After a second, she said, "Finite."
"Where am I," the man asked, his voice garbled by the helmet type mask he wore. He stumbled to his feet, bracing himself on the wall as he regained his bearings.
"The Department of Mysteries," Tracey answered, still aiming her wand at the man. "Who are you, and how did you get in that cabinet?"
The man was staring at his palms now, turning his hands over and then back again. "I was in the middle of fighting Rey…on Snoke's ship in space. And now, I am here. I've lost my lightsaber, and you do not seem fazed by my power. Did you not feel pain?" Here, he glanced up at her, though she could still not see his eyes.
"I can assure you, sir, that I felt no pain from your strange hand gestures," Tracey said, narrowing her eyes at the tall, masked man. "Nor will you cause me any harm. If anything, I will be the one to cause you pain." She didn't even bother commenting on the fact he claimed to be from space. "Tell me your name."
The man chuckled, the sound low and dark and made all the more menacing by the masked helmet he wore. "You have a fire within you," he said as he lowered his arm.
"I would hope so," Tracey snapped, her wand arm never wavering as she continued to hold her ground. "I've always had to fend for myself, and now will be no different. You're going to come with me to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. They'll interrogate you and throw you in prison for sure. Now, tell me your name!"
"I am known as Kylo Ren." The man glanced back and forth, taking in his surroundings before lifting his hands to his helmet. There was a click as he undid the sides, then a hiss as it was released. A second later, he was lifting the frightening façade away only to reveal the face of a stranger. Tracey had never seen him before in her life and started to think that he wasn't lying. Maybe he really did come from outer space?
"I do not wish to be put into a prison," he told Tracey, his dark eyes meeting hers. "I know not how I came to be here, but I can tell you I mean you no harm." Slowly, he stooped and set his discarded helmet on the concrete flooring. "I only wish for answers."
"Then why did you try and use magic on me?" Tracey asked, gesturing to his hands.
"It appears my form of magic, or the Force, does not work here," the man explained, staring down at his empty palms. He again ignored her questions, opting to ask his own. Then, he met Tracey's stare. "What was that magic, the one you tried first?"
Blinking as she tried to wrap her mind around the situation, Tracey slowly said, "It was a Boggart Banishing spell. I thought you were a boggart… But you're real…" She stepped forward and held the hand that wasn't hold her wand up to Kylo's face. Tentatively, she let her fingertips trace over the contours of his pale skin. As she did this, a surge of magical heat seemed to flow between her fingers and his skin. Quickly, she dropped her hand, started at the sensation.
Their eyes met, and Tracey whispered, "Wow… That was…"
Kylo smirked and said, "Ridiculous?"
"No," Tracey replied, shaking her head and staring at her fingertips, though the joke was not lost on her. She lifted her eyes and met Kylo's once more. "No, it was extraordinary."
When Kylo smiled, Tracey knew that there was something truly magical between the two of them. She would take him to be interrogated by the MLE, but after the way he'd made her feel and how it clearly affected him as well, she wasn't letting him out of her sight now or ever...
Slowly, Tracey came out of her memory as Kylo shifted. He curled his body more firmly around her, an arm wrapping around her naked waist. "Kylo?" she whispered, brushed her fingers through his dark hair now. "Are you awake?'
"Love," Kylo said as he fully woke from his short respite. "We've been married for how long now? Surely, you feel comfortable calling me by my real name?"
Tracey laughed at herself and kissed his lips as he rolled his head her way. "I'm sorry… I was caught up in my memories… I didn't mean to wake you, Ben."
"I noticed… Your fingertips were making my skin tingle," Ben said, wiggling and then moving so he was above Tracey. His large hand began to snake its way up her soft thighs, "After all this time, your magic still makes mine come to life."
Sighing happily, Tracey let her thighs part as Ben's fingers found her entrance. She hadn't even realized how wet she was until his fingers eased inside and began a slow rhythm. "I don't think it's all me. I think it's your Force power more than just my magic." It was hard to concentrate as Ben's thumb pressed against her clit, their magic making the pleasure build faster than usual.
"Don't be ridiculous," Ben teased, nuzzling the crook of her neck as he withdrew his fingers and replaced them with the tip of his cock. "You're one of the most extraordinary beings I have ever met." He sank into her slowly, bottoming out and groaning into her shoulder.
"I wouldn't say all of that," she said and moaned as his lips kissed just behind her ear. Shivers of pleasure made her skin tingle and pleasure to pool between her thighs. She rocked her hips with his, feeling her body come to life as he made love to her slowly.
"Believe me, my love," Ben said as he continued his lovemaking. "Now, hush, and let me show you just how extraordinary you truly are…"
Tracey said nothing further, allowing herself to focus solely on her husband and how he was making her feel. After such an ordinary life, all of this still felt surreal to her. When Ben had come through that cabinet, both of their lives were changed forever. Sometime later, after they both finished, Ben pulled her against his sweat-damp chest and carded his fingers through her hair as he told her how much he loved her.
His calming words eased Tracey toward sleep with a smile playing on her kiss swollen lips. The last thought in her head was that maybe Ben was right… Perhaps they were extraordinary, and their magic had brought them together for a reason. She may have thought it ridiculous all those years ago, but now she knew better. Ben was extraordinary, and so was she.
