Sins of Blairwood Grown Up

~Welcome to the Future~

The sun was shining bright in the sky, as the door to the Williams house opened, and the scene switched to ground level as the sight of two pairs of shoes, walking out of the door came down the front yard.

"Have a good first day of your Senior Year at school you two." Emiko's voice came from inside before the door closed.

Meanwhile, back inside the house Sam just came down the stairs, now sporting a goatee and a few more wrinkles on his face, but he stopped when he spotted something on the kitchen table.

"Oh no, they forgot their lunches again." Sam said, grabbing the two lunch bags on the table.

"Oh sure, forgot." Emiko said sarcastically, as she was cooking with a reptile's tail, and a streak of white in her hair.

Sam went running for the door, hoping that he hadn't missed the two who were heading off for school.

"Erma, Senshi hold up." Sam called out, spotting them still heading down the driveway.

Coming up the them, it was clear to see something was different about them. Erma's height now brought her up to Sam's nose, while Senshi stood almost at the exact same height.

"Look, I know mom's recipe's not the best. But neither of you can run from it forever." Sam exclaimed.

"Alright Dad." Erma sighed with a smile, her voice a little more mature than when she was a kid.

"Eh, still better than Grandpa Meliodas's cooking." Senshi said, taking the lunch bags and putting them in his backpack.

"So are either of you planning on joining any clubs?" Sam asked.

"If there are any combat clubs, I'd be game." Senshi said.

"I'm hoping there's a literature club I can join, I really like writing." Erma said.

*Honk-Honk*

"Hey, tall, dark, and spooksters." A young woman's voice called out to them. Senshi and Erma looked back to see a teen Terry and Amy in a car, with Terry at the drivers seat. "The two of you need to get in already. We still need to pick up Connor."

"Okay. Whelp, good luck you two." Sam said, heading back into the house.

"Love you Dad." Erma smiled, running up and giving him a hug.

"Love you too sweetheart. You to Senshi."

"Love you too Sam." Senshi smiled.

Erma stepped back, giving Sam a clear view of both her and Senshi.

Erma smiled and held her arm down, while pushing some hair behind her ear, with a smile. Her hair was shorter while also spikier and choppier. Her new clothes, comprised of a white crop top, barely covering her chest, over a low cut, sleeve and legless one piece suit, with a black choker around her neck. She wore a white pleated skirt that is split at the side with a small black belted strap across the gap, and bright black shorts under it. On her arms, she wears black arm length fingerless gloves, stopping right below her shoulder, with white bracers strapped around the wrist. Around her waist, she wore a black belt with several fake bullets on it, and black thigh-high steel-toe boots with white soles and heels, a single white buckled strap near the top lips.

Senshi was almost an exact copy of his Grandpa Ban, with the same build, and stature. The only differences between them were pretty simple. Senshi's hair had a red stripe down the middle, with a pattern on both sides starting with black, going to blue, and stopping at purple on the sides. An' he had a scar on his right side, completely opposite to the one Ban had on his left, with the scar being more prominent, as it went over his eye, and then down his body like Ban's did, but stopped at his pectoral, making his scar bigger than Ban's.

"Alright see ya later Sam."

"It's Friday isn't it?" Sam asked. "Aren't ya gonna be going to the island?"

"Oh right. Erma and I are going to the island after school. I guess we'll see you after the weekend is over." Senshi said before Terry honked.

"C'mon, I'm burning gas over here." Terry called out.

"We're coming." Senshi sighed. "See you after the weekend Sam."

~After Classes~

"So, which clubs are you thinking of joining?" Syliva asked as she and her friends were gathered around the bulletin board of the hall, looking at the different clubs that were looking for new recruits.

"If there are any that have a shooting range, specifically gun shooting, I'd be down for that." Terry said.

"Terry, the only club like that here, is an archery club." Senshi exclaimed. "Guns are prohibited. You're seventeen and you're not aware of this?"

"Hey, I can hope can't I?" Terry questioned. "What club would you be joining if you're so smart?"

"Well, wrestling isn't an option. It's not even a club at this school. But it looks like Blairwood High has an MMA Club. I'd be up for that." Senshi smiled.

"What about you Erma? Which club are you thinking of joining?" The teenage Connor asked, standing next to the Yokai/Human Hybrid.

"I was thinking of a literature club." Erma smiled. "Seeing my dad being an author, kinda got me interested in becoming one myself. Maybe one day, I'll even become as successful of a writer as my dad."

"That's cool." Amy smiled. "But there's only one literature club here, and it's the toughest in the state to get accepted to."

"Why's that?" Sidney asked, standing with her friends in her rat form.

"Let's just say, the woman sponsoring the club, is no joke. She's on the New York Times best selling Author's list, top five." Amy exclaimed. "She also happens to be my Aunt."

"Then you could put in a good word for Erma right?" Senshi inquired.

"Nope." Amy said. "When it comes to writing, my Aunt is crazy strict about it. She won't accept any good words about amateurs. She'll put them through an initiation test, putting their conviction through the ringer."

"How?" Erma asked a bit concerned.

"Basically, she'll have any one who wants to join her club, write a rough draft for an actual novel within a certain time frame, and if she like it, you're in the club, but if she hates it, she'll let you know." Amy explained. "I saw her once go through an applicants rough draft, and she gave such a bad review, the student ended up going to a different school because my aunt hurt her feelings so bad."

"That's harsh." Senshi exclaimed. "All because she didn't like the manuscript?"

"Call me crazy, but I think she's only doing that, because she has an ulterior motive." Amy said. "I just don't know what yet."

"Don't wanna believe someone in your family could be up to something illegal and bad?" Senshi asked.

"Sorry..." Amy said, knowing Senshi was speaking from experience.

"Nah, it's fine." Senshi smiled. "Let's get going. The tryouts for the MMA Club aren't until Monday, so let's go to get you signed up for the club."

"We'll catch you both later then." Sidney smiled.

As they walked off, Amy couldn't stop thinking as she had a thought.

"What's up Amy?" Terry asked. "You look nervous."

"I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like I'm forgetting something about my aunt." Amy exclaimed. "I just hope Erma and Senshi can handle her."

"I'm sure they'll be fine." Syliva smiled.

At the same time, Senshi and Erma were making their way to the room the literature club would be taking up. But the official name of the club was the, Invaluable Author's Club.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the club President's job to officiate the initiation test?" Senshi asked. "I mean it just makes sense that the president of the club would be the one to choose the new members not the sponsors."

"True, that should be the case. It is weird Amy's Aunt is the one doing the initiation tests." Erma exclaimed. "Well, let's hope I can get in."

Knocking on the door, Senshi and Erma went into the class room, right at the wrong time, as Amy's Aunt was criticizing another applicants work.

"Furthermore, your writing style is an affront to Author's everywhere, and should never be allowed to see the light of day." A woman with chocolate brown hair, tied in a bun with a pen as the pin keeping it in place, wearing a white blouse, looking like a nineteenth century school teacher complete with the white blouse, and long dress, and a pair of glasses with the string to keep them around her neck when she took them off. "Get out of my sight, and never come back to apply again."

"Well, I can see what Amy meant when she said her aunt was strict." Senshi said, as the girl ran past them, rushing out of the room, while grabbing the tissue he held up for her.

"Hello, can I help you students with anything?" The club sponsor asked.

"Uh yeah, I'm Senshi Liones, this is Erma Williams." Senshi introduced, noticing how she was trying to hide her actions of putting the girl's manuscript into her own bag.

"I'm hoping I can join the literature club." Erma said.

"I appreciate your enthusiasm. But the answer is no."

"I'm sorry Miss..."

"Dommer. Ms. Dommer." She said.

"Ms. Dommer, why not exactly?" Senshi inquired.

"Erma Williams. Daughter of that hack, and fake author, Sam Williams." Dommer said.

"Well that's certainly something Amy didn't mention about you." Senshi said.

"My father is not a hack, or a fake. He spends hours writing his stories." Erma exclaimed.

"Stories he no doubt hires actual authors to write for him to make a profit while claiming it's his original work." Dommer said.

"Wait a minute, Dommer. Elizabeth Dommer." Senshi said. "I knew that name sounded familiar. You're #5 on the New York Time's Best Sellers list, while Sam is #1."

"How do you know that?" Erma asked.

"I have a weekly subscription to New York Time's Magazine. They actually have an office here in town that I get my magazine from." Senshi said. "But Elizabeth here, won't let you in, because she's jealous of your father's success being greater than her own."

"That's absurd. Our rankings have nothing to do with it." Elizabeth said. "I am strictly professional when I handle my club's members and activities."

"Alright then, if that's the case, then you won't have a problem, giving Erma a chance to apply for the club." Senshi said, walking up to her and getting in her face. "But if you still refuse, then you'll be confirming you're being biased towards your own reasons for not giving her a chance."

"Fine. I'll give her one chance, to join the club." Elizabeth said.

"What do I have to do?" Erma inquired.

"While we're at it, I'll give it a shot myself." Senshi exclaimed.

"Fine. The both of you will be given one chance. You each have to write a rough draft manuscript of a 400,000 word novel, one week from today. It can be about anything, but has to be the amount of words I've given you. But make sure it's greatly detailed, and is flawless." Elizabeth said.

"Fine, we'll be in touch next Friday." Senshi said, heading out with Erma following him.

When they were out of the classroom, and Erma closed the door, Senshi pulled out his phone, needing to make a call.

"Uncle Ben hey." Senshi said.

"Senshi, what can I do for you bud?" Ben asked.

"I need your help."

"Who do I need to put a bullet through?"

"No one, not yet at least." Kaen said. "I need you to look into someone for me. Find any dirt about their past."

"I ain't a PI kiddo. You're needing someone who's an expert in this field." Ben said.

"You know anyone like that?" Senshi inquired.

"We both do kid. An' you'll be seeing him tonight when you go to the island." Ben exclaimed. "Why the sudden interest with this though?"

"Because..." Senshi paused as he pulled the manuscript Elizabeth Dommer had tried hiding in her bag. "I think I might have found a criminal hiding in plain sight." He said, his Sclera turning black, and irises turning red.
