"But you can't rematerialize yet! we're not even in space-time!"

"This is as far as we're going for the moment."

The Master is confused. Just earlier the Doctor proposed a plan to abandon earth and escape together. He actually never thought he would abandon the precious planet he fought so hard to protect.

The TARDIS comes to a sudden stop. "But where are we?, the Master asked. "You'll recognize it when you see it." the Doctor answered. "Right, outside", the Doctor demanded. The Master hesitated. "Come on out!", the Doctor demanded again, this time threatening him with the same laser weapon the Master had previously been using.

They stepped out of the blue box into the familiar organic ship the Master never hoped to see again, his TARDIS just the opposite of them.

"But you must be mad!" "Why have you brought us here?!", the Master said in a panicked tone.

"Well you want your TARDIS back, don't you?", the Doctor responded. "We can't beat Axos. We might as well join it."

"Why have you returned?", the omnipresent voice demanded, with it's large moving eyestalk staring down both time lords. "That's simple", the Doctor answered. "Because you are winning, and we have a proposition." "You may have conquered this tiny speck in space but you have yet to conquer time."

Well?

"We are prepared to give this power on one condition, the Doctor stated. "That we join forces against the High Council of the Time Lords."

How can we do this?, Axos asked

"By linking our drive systems.", the Doctor explained. "In this way, Axos will become a TARDIS, and the TARDIS will become a part of Axos."

And you?, Axos asked, his question directed at the Master. "No, my part is finished, the Master answered. "All i'm interested in is the return of my TARDIS." Well, I leave you to your new alliance." The Master said to the Doctor while walking to his TARDIS when he suddenly bumps into an invisible forcefield. "I INSIST ON MY FREEDOM, the Master demanded.

"When the link is complete", Axos said, "then you may have your freedom."
