Summary- After thousands of years of war between the elves and humans. King Haro kills the king of the dragons and the dragon prince. What will the elves do now that they do not have a king?

Chapter 1 The Decision

"We are defenceless without a king! We need someone to step up and take the job, without Alexander we are helpless, we will be taken advantage by the humans!"

"We will not elect a elf to do a job for a dragon, for thousands of years we have served the dragons, we can't just betray them!"

"We must vote on it as Xadia law."

"You are not seriously considering this option are you!"

"The leader of the startouch elves is right, we are defenseless without Alexander we must prevail."

"I will not allow it as the leader of the moon shadow elves!"

"It is for the best, I am sorry Runnan, raise your hand if you vote we should elect an elf leader for Xadia." The startouch elves leader raised their hand idmitally, but everyone was still hesitant, then the Earth Blood elf leader raised their hand and so did the tidebound elves.

"Anyone else, it's still a tie between the nations." There was silence as the skywing elves stepped forward and raised their hand.

"It is decided."

"What now, we get killed by the dragons because we decided to betray them after thousands of generations!" They all stayed quiet.

"We are lesser beings, they can take our power just as they gave it to us." I walked away and outside of the meeting. We were in the core of Xadia. I felt as a presence walked beside me.

"I believe that the dragons are the rightful kings, they always were. What are we supposed to do?" I looked at Khessa.

"We make contact with them."

"but no one knows how to contact the dragons."

"Lord Regum is the only dragon we know of, we have to try."

"But he hasn't been in contact with the other dragons in years."

"We will go back to our homes and research, I will meet you again in a week, this conversation is only between me and you." I walked away without a word from my mouth and returned to our transportation. I looked at the once Alexanders statue and left.

-Home-

I walked inside of my house with a dreadful face, tomorrow there would be another meeting. I looked inside admiring my home. I looked at the desk where Etheria sharpened his weapons.

"I'm home." he stood up giving me a peck on the cheek.

"What happened at the meeting today?" I cleared my throat.

"The leaders think we should elect an elf to become king." his eyes widened.

"But that would only disrupt balance between us and the dragons."

"I tried to tell them but the startouch elves, earth blood elves, tiedbound elves, and the skywing elves think not."

"Wha-What can we do?"

"I scheduled a meeting with the Sunfire elf leader, we believe that we can fix this."

"I will stick with you till the end."

-General Pov-

What they didn't know was that someone was listening to the whole conversation.

-Someone's Pov-

I couldn't believe we were going to betray the dragons. After thousands of years of loyalty to them we were going to leave them in the dust. I couldn't abandon our rightful leader. I walked back to my room. I could feel someone's presence when I looked around.

"Who's there." before I could react a wolf attacked me and bit my arm.
