"It has been 15 years since the Tragedy of Metropolis, where The Joker tricked Superman into killing his wife and unborn child and destroying Metropolis. Superman killed the Joker and created the One Earth Regime democratic insinuations were destroyed and he and most of the former Justice League took over the world. I had put an end to the Regime and Brainiac's invasion and the Regime are over. Some members of it are still out there though pretty much all have given up on the Regime who knows what they will do next. I have formed a new justice league, but things will never be the same as they once were I will forever miss the old days before the Tragedy of Metropolis."
"You have told this story several times lighten up Bats the regime is done," Harley Quinn said.
"I wish I could, but not every Regime member is captured, Damien, Cyborg, Raven, Black Adam, Aquaman are still out there," Batman said.
"Black Adam and Aquaman have given up on the Regime and Damien and Cyborg aren't threats," Harley Quinn said.
"And Raven," Batman said.
"She has been unseen for years, probably dead to be honest, stop being so paranoid bats," Harley Quinn said.
As Harley Quinn was talking Batman was mostly ignoring her knowing how this goes. After a few minutes, Brother Eye had alerted Batman to something that has happened.
"Harley Brother Eye is reporting something," Batman said. Both her and Batman rushed to the Batcave to see what was happening.
"It looks like Solomon Grundy escaped from prison," Harley Quinn said.
"Solomon Grundy was once a part of the regime figure out how this happened," Batman said.
"Grundy was forced to join the regime, he won't try to bust any of the Regime out or try and rebuild it," Harley Quinn said.
"No, but this could be a sign and we can't take the chance," Batman said.
"Where are you going Bats?" Harley Quinn asked.
"I am going to find Grundy," Batman said.
Batman searched throughout Gotham knowing it would be the first place Grundy would return too. Batman used Grundy's stench to find him very quickly. Batman was still thinking about how and why Grundy of all people, or zombies more accurately, was he the one that was able to escape from jail. Bane had gotten out before but he is smart and calculating while Grundy is nearly mindless, Batman was already suspecting that Grundy may have been broken out by someone else.
Batman didn't have time to wonder though, and he had to take down Grundy and he had the element of surprise to do so. He snuck around Grundy hitting him with Batarangs and when Grundy was distracted, he threw down a smoke bomb and then kicked him in the face.
Grundy got back up quickly and yelled "Batman hurt Grundy, Grundy hurt Batman."

"Time for you to go back to jail," Batman said.
Batman after having knocked Grundy out started to restrain him. Before he could though he started hearing a familiar laugh, he didn't recognize it at first, but it started to get louder as whoever was making it approached closer and closer. Eventually, Batman recognized who it was, it couldn't be him, could it, he has been dead for over 15 years he was the first person superman ever killed "Joker."
"Grundy never really did stand a chance did he," The Joker said.
"How, how are you alive, I saw you die right in front of my eyes," Batman said.
"I don't tend to stay dead for very long," The Joker said.
"What is wrong with your voice as well?" Batman asked.
"Soon you won't have a voice Batman," The Joker said.

"What is going on?" Batman wondered.
Batman heads over to detain the Joker to figure out how he came back. He got an out of nowhere headache and was trapped inside of his mind or at least he thought that was what happened to him. Everything was black, but playing on it was his worst memories that he had. Everything from the death of his parents, the death of Jason Todd, Superman's murder of the Joker, all of his friends dying, and recently Brainiac's invasion of earth.
Batman was suffering in this mind hellscape he was trapped In and had no idea what was going on. Then suddenly he was back Batman's old friend, the one who killed the Joker and set the world to ruin Superman.
"You don't know when to quit Bruce you don't understand I will always win I will always come back," Superman said.
"No, you're not real," Batman said.
"That may be true, but I can still hurt you," Superman said. Superman then punched Batman hard, the pain felt so real Batman was starting to wonder had Superman somehow been brought back. His mind was so messed up he couldn't think straight, what the hell was happening to him.
"How did you escape?" Batman asked.
"You never did understand me, Bruce, I always come back,"

"One thing you should know about me Clark is I am always prepared," Batman said.
Batman walked up to Superman to try and understand what was going on but he just vanished as soon as he got close. The headaches Batman was getting were getting worse and he had no idea what was going on. Batman was strong, though he cleared his head to remember what he strived to do before after his parents died and the regime fell and managed to get out of his mind.
Batman was back in the real world, he was in the same place as before, but The Joker and Grundy were both gone. Batman was still super confused as to what was happening, but he had to track the two down and figure out where he was gone. Batman had noticed that a ditch to a sewer was open even though he remembered it wasn't. He reasoned from them that Joker, Grundy and whoever was helping them escaped through the sewers. Batman didn't know how long it had been but he hoped he could still catch up to them in time.
Batman went into the sewers and followed Grundy's goo trail. He came up to a corner and heard someone talking about something. He snuck up and eavesdropped on the mysterious person's conversation.
"I managed to retrieve Solomon Grundy and he is being sent to Arkham," The mysterious man said.
"Were there any problems?" Another different, but a familiar voice said.
"Batman almost got Grundy back, but I was able to distract him," The mysterious man said.
"Alright, I have heard enough," Batman said. After which he threw a Batarang towards the mysterious man.
"I knew that my dream couldn't hold you for long," The mysterious man said. Batman got a good look at the man and it was unlike anyone he had ever seen a completely black suit and a decaying zombie-like face. He had a very distant ring almost like a.
"Lantern corp," Batman said.
"Oh, so you noticed my ring good eye Batman," The man said.
"Your a Black Lantern," Batman said.
"Smart you are, my name is Black Hand and you will not survive this encounter."

"What are you planning?" Batman wondered.
"Now you're coming with me," Batman said.
Someone tapped Batman on the shoulder and he looked behind them to see, "Luthor, Sinestro, Shazam." The three then easily knocked him.
Batman woke back up, he was tied to a circle with his suit and all of his equipment taken away. He looked around and quickly recognized this place as the ruins of Arkham Asylum, "how is this place still standing," he wondered. Batman would look to a table nearby to see Black Hand talking with someone. He at first couldn't get a good look at them, but after a bit, he eventually figured out who it was, it was Raven.
"Everything is going according to plan Raven. Everyone in our army has been recruited do you have any idea how hard it was to get Carol out of Brainiac's ship" Black Hand said.
"Now that Blackest Night is read,y we can begin our plan," Raven said.
Blackest Night, Batman had heard of this event, Hal Jordan had mentioned it during the old Justice League it was where several Lantern rings would bring back the dead. He knew that would explain the resurrection of Joker, Luthor, Sinestro and Shazam as well as Black Hand's Black Lantern ring.
"Batman is finally awake," Raven said.
"What did you want him for Raven?" Black Hand asked.
"He was the one who took down the regime now it is time for him to become my slave," Raven said.
"No you won't succeed, ahhhhhh," Batman started screaming in agony as he was being brainwashed by Raven's magic.
