1. Chapter 1

Akame Ga Kill: Dorothea's Ambition

Author's Note: Welcome my dear readers to a new story, now you may be wondering what this is, well that my dear readers is another AGK AU, now I'm going to lay down the what to expect: first off as normal this is Tatsumi x Large Harem, secondly we are going to go of a revised version of the 'canon' timeline starting with a few major differences, first off Sheele and Chelsea escape their deaths in this timeline allowing them to aid Leone in her fight against Honest preventing him from using his Teigu and throwing him from a balcony to his death at the hands of an angry mob of Revolutionaries also Spear survived and joined Night Raid, secondly Dorothea survived her encounter with Leone and has along with Suzuka secretly been plotting revenge against the RA having escaped with Esdeath's body, Makoto's sisters along with Makoto himself as a body double in his place was executed and some of Dorothea's things to a new lab on Soukai in Wakoku, third point Tatsumi has married Mine, Leone, Najenda, Sheele and Chelsea and has moved to Soukai to escape the Revolutionary Communist Government of Boreth's Republic of Communist Imperial States (BRCIS) which has decided that the people they are violently oppressing can't know about their use of assassins during the war and don't want Night Raid rising again as such they live in exile but still have their Teigus; including Susanoo who is the main reason they were able to escape using his powers. Fourth this is set 5 years later Akame has just been shipwrecked on Wakoku and Tenrou has yet to declare war on Saryuu and Soukai, essentially this will be a team up to beat Zuou then lead Wakoku and a massive uprising to defeat Boreth's government and create a new Empire ruled by its rightful Golden Dragon Emperor Tatsumi, all the while as Boreth schemes a dark evil has been plotting his revenge against Tatsumi for foiling his schemes and wants this version of Eden for his own the Arch Demon Valtor will have his revenge and this time he's going in. This will based on a hybrid anime/manga timeline which means Fal, Air, and Luna, along with Logue and Kije will still be alive and for addition consistency this is an alternate version of the same Eden from Empire's End which means a Kuroinu sequel and Galaxy At War style events will still happen just at a different pace so the timeline itself is a bit wonky just know that this is set 8 years before the Clone Wars and that Eden will make contact three years before the war; however this will be at first a stand alone and based on reviews, feedback and popularity I may do a Killing Kuroinu and Galaxy at War style sequels: also Erasiel will be turning up in the story about midway for reasons as will become apparent as this Tatsumi is a reborn EE Tatsumi and Valtor's obsession with revenge has drawn the attention of his greatest enemy Erasiel Darkar

Prelude: Blood Stain's the World of Blood and Lies still

The Empire has fallen. The Revolutionary Army victorious in the final battle of the Capital has overthrown and executed its Emperor, however the blood would continue to flow. In the wake of victory the radicals lead by Boreth Falkland take over the government of the fallen Empire with Boreth taking the title of Dictator for Life and establishing the Borethian Republic of Communist Imperial Sates also known as the BRCIS, this new government has turned against the people of the Empire subjecting it to purges. In the aftermath of war surviving heroes of Night Raid whom are horrified by this new regime and flee to the island of Wakoku. Tatsumi and his new Wives Mine, Leone, Sheele, Najenda, Spear and Chelsea have moved the kingdom of Soukai while Akame and Kurome flee into self-imposed exile along with the other surviving Elite Seven and Dark Squad members escaping Boreth's purges before they began.

Meanwhile the brilliant Imperial scientist Dr. Dorothea survived her confrontation with Night Raid's Leone and along with Suzuka and the sisters of Makoto fled the Empire with Esdeath's body and various things of Dorothea escaping into hiding on Soukai where in the isolated wilds of the island Dorothea formed a new laboratory working on secret experiments in science and alchemy with one end goal, vengeance for the fallen and creating a new Empire.

Five years have passed, Tatsumi and his family now live in a small estate in Soukai's capital having offered their military experience and knowledge to Soukai's king; however things are happening outside their knowledge, Dorothea schemes and has achieved success with her new experiments, a certain enemy from Tatsumi's past surviving her wounds nurses a grudge and lust for her foe, Boreth schemes in Melitine for world conquest, Zuou prepares for his conquest of Wakoku and above it all in the dark the Demon Valtor is plotting vengeance: this is a world of Blood and lies, a world of monsters human and otherwise, such monsters are beyond redemption and must be purged to restore hope to a world in terror, heroes need to rise heroes with their own flaws but driven to do one thing end the madness end the lies, end the killing, by Asha's light and will they will succeed.

Chapter 1: Kill the Peace

Soukai, Tatsumi's beachside estate, five years after the war…

It was bright sunny day as both suns shined without a cloud in sight; Tatsumi loved the beach and loved more spending time with his family his six wives and 19 children. Tatsumi at the moment was building a sand castle with six of his children and Spear one from each of his wives; at five years old the oldest was his daughter Sheele named by Mine after her BFF and Tatsumi's second wife the little girl had pink hair like her mother but had his green eyes, next to her were her two half-sisters Kajenda and Catherine, her three half-brothers Daniel, Lucian, and Ieyasu, nearby Leone dressed in her orange bikini held their three year old daughter Sayo as she sat on her mother's lap. The waves washed the beach, Najenda along with Chelsea was sun-tanning while Sheele and Mine kept a watchful eye on the younger children keeping them away from going out far into the water as.

"This is a great day daddy" Sheele said eagerly.

"That it is my little girl that it is" Tatsumi replied, he had changed over the past five years, one of his peridot green eyes had turned red as a result of his fusion with Incursio, his body still bore the scars of the final battle that he had by some miracle survived, and he had matured much, now 23 the hero of Night Raid was now Lord Tatsumi Hatayama a noble name given to him by his new liege lord King Sotetsu of Soukai whom had welcomed him and his family giving them a fresh start and new role in this kingdom; Tatsumi had become the King's military advisor and marshal, training Soukai's warriors in Imperial battle tactics and importing Imperial weaponry or rather smuggling it in along with arms from Nova Atlantea. That fallen Empire along with the Elven Kingdom of Amannar had ended their isolation and were now taking a vested interest in world affairs in the wake of the new rising power that now had Adonai under most of its sway and was modernizing at an alarming rate, with a new threat rising the two powers had made an alliance and were now working on modernizing the isles of Wakoku and helping other powers to form a coalition against the growing threat biding their time and hoping for a chance to defeat this new enemy for good. With that in mind and due to a trade history with Soukai the two powers had taken a vest interest in the protection of Soukai and its sister kingdom Saryuu hoping to help them along, advancements that King Sotetsu accepted. During this time Tatsumi had also helped instruct Soukai's new generation of up and coming warriors in the way of the sword helping Elder Edo with the education a new class.

All this however was far from his mind as he had with the King's approval taken a week off to spend with his family, Tatsumi had also noted that Rinzu the Princess of Soukai would be hosting a competition to decide who would be her husband and Tatsumi had accepted that invitation, the young princess 19 years of age deserved a kind and caring husband but also the best possible warrior in the kingdom as she wanted that, the tournament would a month from today and Tatsumi would start training for it next week, but for now he wanted to spend time with his wives and children and the beach near his home was a good place to do that.

However that relaxation came to an abrupt end as he noticed something a familiar face clinging to driftwood in the water, he quickly rose up and swam in the water before everyone else could noticed what was going on, he had swam rapidly and reached her as she passed out he then swam assure holding her in his arms and carried her to the beach. She was Akame; the black hair, her face and the time spent in Night Raid were enough for him to recognize her anywhere he quickly set to pushing the water out of her body, all his children and his wives gathered around and between the six adults and twelve children they had carried her inside the estate Tatsumi send his children to the living room and told them to wait there while he and his wives took ; Tatsumi laid her on the guest bed and checked her pulse, she was alive but was out cold.

"Akame? How and why were you adrift at sea" Tatsumi asked internally.

"Tatsumi: is that?" Najenda began asking, her silver hair was let down and had been grown out since the war, her prosthetic was still present and she only had one of her lavender eyes, but still she was beautiful, her romance with Tatsumi had begun after fleeing their homeland and travelling the eastern lands, they had gone thru so much together it was only natural that they'd fall in love and become husband and wife which they had been for four years at this point.

"Yes it is" Tatsumi replied.

"Akame? Here and in the waves, is she alive?" Sheele asked, the purple haired and purpled beauty had changed little in five years beyond now styling her hair in a pair of buns and dressing in the Qarkeshi fashion, her step-father Ibbin Al-Hakim had been the first person they fled to and with his help and merchant connections escaped to Soukai he himself was now also living on Soukai albeit in a different estate and not with any position in court.

"Yep; she's still got a strong pulse but she's out cold, she must have been traveling when she was shipwrecked" Tatsumi replied then noted Akame had something clenched firmly in her hand and he recognized it as the Teigu Knowledge of the World: Wonga Wonga which he had only glanced briefly during their taking of the palace also with her was Muramase and another blade he didn't recognize but was also an Imperial Arms, Akame must have taken it with her when she fled the chaos after the Empire's fall.

"Thank the gods she's alive, of all the things to happen" Mine commented the Pinkette too had changed little beyond she wore her hair down and.

"Good when she's up we'll see getting her back to health; lets get her some clothing for when she's awake and get her out of these sodden clothes to dry them off; she'll freeze in these" Leone added, the blonde haired golden eyed beauty had changed the most as she now dressed modestly, had grown her hair out and stopped drinking along with becoming more laid back and doting mother.

"I'll see to getting the clothes; Sheele you get her out of those ones; Tatsumi you and the others tell the kids what's happened and tell them everything is ok" Chelsea barked making sure to get everyone going, she hadn't changed much beyond the fact she now dressed in the Oarburgh style, her sisters and cousins had also fled the Empire and lived also on Soukai though they didn't visit often due to their mercenary occupation as the name Oarburgh was a well known one worldwide and her sisters ever the mercenaries and ever eager to restore their family name in that field along with their fortune, all of them were still single.

After that everyone proceeded to do their assigned tasks, Chelsea fetched some of her clothes for Akame to wear, while Sheele had helped Akame out of the sodden clothing and wrapped her in a warm blanket while also taking care to make sure that she hadn't come down with a fever but that was the case and when she did wake up she'd be on bed rest until she was feeling better, Chelsea put the clothes on the bed side.

"Sheele you better wait here until she's awake" Chelsea suggested, Sheele nodded in agreement at this the same time Tatsumi and the others have been explaining to the children what had happened and who their new guest was, Tatsumi soon left the others to handle the children and rushed to Akame's bed side where after a few minutes she began coming to; a familiar pair of red eyes opened and Tatsumi smiled.

"Hey Akame" Tatsumi greeted, Akame looked at him and smiled for the first time ever in his experience.

"Tatsumi" Akame replied she then tried to sit up. "Ouch! My ankle" Akame exclaimed.

"What's wrong with it?" Tatsumi asked.

"I've twisted it; that must have happened when I ran up the stairs; I- did you see anyone else anything from that ship I was on, also where am I and what are you doing here?" Akame asked.

"Well for starters no I haven't seen anyone else, secondly you are in my home an estate on the Island of Soukai in the Wakoku islands, third I'm here in exile and hiding from the government we helped put in power" Tatsumi replied.

"Hiding why?" Akame asked, Tatsumi frowned.

"Oh yeah, you left without saying goodbye about a day after the war ended I've no idea where you've been but everything went bad about a month after you left; the new government turned out to be worse then Empire which I didn't think was possible, in all I've been living been living here in exile with the surviving members of Night Raid and being the only guy in the group we fell in love, married and we've been living here for five years, the King of Soukai made us his advisors, gave me a noble title and this estate along with making me his martial and chief general; I've also opened a sword school and have along with an old man named Edo whose taught me some new stuff have been training the new generation of Soukai's warriors in the way of the sword; right now I'm on break for the week to spend time with my family before I get myself trained and ready for the big tournament next month; the winner gets to marry Princess Rinzu, she's a very nice and beautiful young woman and needs someone to love her; other then that I'm still the same Tatsumi though I'm not naïve anymore; I realize now that we were all of us used by monsters to kill people, and we need to make amends but for the time being I'm living here biding my time and enjoying my new life, perhaps I'll have the means one day to undo the harm we brought on the world but for now I'm living here; now what's happened to you?" Tatsumi asked.

"Well Kurome and I have been wandering; she joined me about a year after I left she told me that Wave had been murdered by tyrants because of his former Jaeger status and she had run away to escape, she didn't go into the details but her status as being part of the Old Empire was enough to have a price put on our head; we've been mercenaries since then recently we were on a ship heading to Wakoku to ply our craft but our ship was caught in a typhoon I asked if you has seen any others just to know about Kurome but I fear she's gone; if that's happened then- I'm alone, no family, no home and nothing to live for" Akame replied.

"Don't tell yourself that you have a home, you can live with me, I'll take you in, you can live here and I'll give you whatever you desire; I've got a good amount of money and prestige, you can even marry me if you want to" Tatsumi replied, Akame blushed at the prospect of marriage then kissed him on the cheek.

"Tatsumi after all I went thru with you I loved you back then and still do but I didn't want to drag you along with me and wanted you to be happy in the new nation we helped create; I still love you and if you want to marry me I'll gladly do that just to have a family again" Akame replied they kissed on the lips and Sheele grinned.

Later that afternoon a lone life boat with a single passenger rowed a shore; it had been a miracle that the boat hadn't sunk in the storm, Kurome smiled as she got out of the boat and noted an estate and- familiar face; the woman that had killed Bols- but all thoughts of revenge were lost when she saw her with children and- her friends also the war was over no point in old grudges, she ran towards them.

"Is that?!" Leone exclaimed.

"Hello Night Raid" Kurome replied, she wasn't as damp but her clothes had been worn ragged by the storm.

"Yes it is: Kurome! Quick come inside Akame is in here!" Chelsea shouted, that was enough to get Kurome's complete and utter attention and Chelsea lead her inside to the room where Tatsumi and Akame along with Sheele were discussing the events of the past five years.

"Tatsumi!" Chelsea shouted opening the door, everyone turned.

"Nii-SAN!" Kurome shouted and ran for the bed to Akame's side.

"Kurome!? You're alive!" Akame replied getting up with some strength and giving her sister a hug.

"Of course I am, though I doubt anyone else did, you fell over board during the storm it was a miracle that the dinky tub didn't sink with me in it and I thought you drowned but another miracle has you being alive and well and with- of all people Tatsumi and Night Raid" Kurome replied.

"Former Night Raid, and no grudges from me Kurome, Sheele go get Kurome some clothes, once you've changed you can talk to us ok Kurome?" Tatsumi replied.

"Right survival first, well Sheele is it, lead the way" Kurome replied.

The rest of the day was spent getting both Kurome and Akame associated with their new home, Kurome had been given and accepted Tatsumi's offer of home and board and would stay in another guest bedroom; as late afternoon began a dinner was made and everyone was treated to hot meal before watching television a new luxury from Nova Atlantea that Tatsumi had bought about a year ago; the programing was Atlantean in origin but it was still entertaining watching shows about all manner of stories both cartoons and live action; it was pleasant distraction and needed for Akame and Kurome after their experience at sea.

Meanwhile… As Tatsumi and his family cattered to their unexpected guests and future family members in mountains a secret laboratory had been constructed by another exile, a noble turned scientist whom had cracked the code and made innovations in the fields of science and Alchemy, all however at a price utter solitude and exile to a secret mountain stronghold hidden away from the prying eyes of the enemies. Dr Dorothea Carstein was one of the few survivors of the Old Imperial regime that had escaped the wrath of the Revolutionary army and barely; she had escaped along with Suzuka of the four Rakshasa Demons and two little girls Lin and Koko the sisters of the previous Emperor and Makoto and good amount of her inventions fleeing at first to her family estate gathering her household servants, guard, and fortune along with everything of value before escaping in the chaos to Wakoku and Soukai specifically and built in secret away from prying eyes her new abode, part laboratory part mountain redoubt part home, where she lived with her associate and her adopted children; it was during this time using her alchemical and scientific knowhow she made a break through and resurrected the fallen general Esdeath; however she was completely an amnesiac with little memory of who she was but still powerful and more importantly under Dorothea's command and control though not as a slave her duty to Dorothea was to act at the guardian of the royal children, while Dorothea dabbled in new experiments.

Dorothea had a plan and that plan was revenge against the traitors whom had destroyed her entire livelihood and forced her into exile to survive; irony wasn't lost on her when about a month after she arrived her informants revealed that of all people Tatsumi and the surviving members of Night Raid had fled to Soukai and were now living there in a life of luxury and power; something that Dorothea would have been angry about however the fact of the matter was that revenge they had been tools of large threats and revenge against Tatsumi and his family wouldn't help her purposes, and there was still the fact that she loved him from the time she had been his jailor something that she couldn't let go of and was still obsessed with, she wanted him to join her cause; he had reason to but she also needed to smart about him and with her spies carefully gathered as much information on him as possible to make a plan; this was a long game, she also had not been idle people praised her as the Blonde Bandit-Killer, she had in her need to feed killed numerous outlaws which had the double benefit of providing the means to keep her young with her Teigu Absordex and money from outlaw bounties, she had also during this time cultivated a large pig farm for her own needs as the blood of pigs turned out to be a good substitute for human blood. Her experiments following Esdeath's resurrection had also followed up with cloning and she cloned the various Jaegers from blood samples she had been able to acquire, only few of them however those being Bols, Seryu, Dr. Stylish along with his team, and Run, she had also managed to clone Cosmina and Suzuka's comrades Mez, Ibara and Sten, these clones were total successes they also possessed some memories of the originals; they were also her servants with varying duties.

Now however after a number of recent developments in the wider world Dorothea was now having to bring stage one of her plan, allying Tatsumi into the foreground as she had finished the preparations for it, also the wider world at late was becoming more hazardous, the warmongering of Tenrou's king Zuou with some of the other island kingdoms meant that war with Saryuu and Soukai was unavoidable and that meant she'd need to get involved lest her safe-haven and base of operations become part of a crazed warlord's domain something that was NOT remotely in her best interests; she needed Wakoku to be unified under someone she could rely on that being Tatsumi who she now needed to get on side as the threats to her plans could not be tolerated. Also on the main continent the warmongering BRCIS was pushing back the Eastern kingdoms; in about a year and half according to Dorothea's calculation they'd be at the ocean's shores and would control all but the Dwarven holds that they had no chance of breaking into. The fact that the BRCIS had been so aggressive was unexpected but it made sense that in order to distract the people from the tyranny of its ruler that they'd wage war to give them something else to consider an enemy instead of their own government that was murdering anyone for any reason and committing crimes worst then the old Empire.

"And I thought the Empire had its problems, those traitors make the Empire's worst look like saints!" Dorothea thought, she hadn't changed much other then she'd taken to wearing Wakokuan fashion and her ire had grown much; the hatred she had for what the lands of the Empire had become outweighed any for any particular individual except Supreme Chancellor and Dictator for Life Boreth Falkland, that charismatic tyrant had her full hatred for a number of reasons not the least of which was that her family mansion had been burned to the ground after she had left the Imperial lands for the east and that many of her colluges in the scientific field had either been executed or forced to like her to flee their homes leaving behind a society drenched in blood where people were killed on a whim; starting with people with purple hair for some horrible reason that had earned the ire of the Western Kingdoms and their Dwarven allies whom maintained firm defenses against that regime; but other then them and a few firm holdouts elsewhere on the continent mostly dwarves but a number of human and non-human kingdoms also resisted.

The computer buzzed to life. "Scan complete; Imperial Arms 521 has been catalogued and completely analyzed" the computer voice reported, Dorothea sighed and grinned, one of her more dangerous pursuits had been sending agents to steal Imperial arms, a surprisingly successful one as the BRCIS didn't do their due diligence in keeping track of them and the users tended to either easily bribed into joining her or easy to dispose of; the inventory of acquired Teigus numbered around 200, 40 of which were in use by her own faction, 8 more belonging to Night Raid's survivors were accounted for as being out of the hands of her enemies and thus safe, and the rest remained on stand by waiting for users; her current project was to reverse engineer the process but that was not a fruitful one and as such she was focused on other research she had developed new weapons and new inventions; she had used the outlaws she didn't drain of life to form augmented soldiers similar to her experiments in the capital; other then that she was also training and building an army of clones with templates selected from volunteers from all over Eden that she had enticed with money to serve as doners: this secret army was her trump card and was only going to be put into use once Soukai was under invasion threat, she also was arming it with top of the line weapons, the local government was completely unaware of her creations, she had also dabbled in robotics and using a very, no extremely resistant alloy created the first in a new line of battle droids: called C-B3s as they were the 3rd attempt at a design that she considered worthy of mass production and mass production was made in an underground factory all with the support of her contacts in Nova Atlantea whom had given her an audience with their government and in their efforts to help Soukai also shipped her materials needed for construction.

This secret army though was her last resort, to use as an oh shit button in the event of a worst case scenario invasion of Soukai and for a conquest of Wakoku of her own if need be, she hoped to use other means for her goals mainly because she wanted Tatsumi to lead that creation of hers; he had all traits needed for her ambition and by all means if she could enlist his aid it would allow her to become more accepted by Soukai's royal court and thus allow her more aid for her projects and a starting point for this; in order for her plan to work she needed Tatsumi to win Rinzu's tournament and wed the Princess something that he fortunately for her had decided take a shot at doing of his own initiative which meant she needed to do was to get him on side with plan; as for the new government of the Empire she had not that far ahead yet too many factors to count. But now after some thinking she was going to take a gamble she'd head to his abode accompanied by Lin and Koko for cuteness factor along with reassurance of good intent and by Mez's clone for security and speak to him, it had been five years perhaps he wouldn't immediately attack her on sight.

"Time for to take the gamble Dorothea, nobody not even you lives forever" Dorothea said to herself she then put her plan into action.

That night… Tatsumi heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it, followed by Najenda whom was always with him to welcome guests, he then opened it and under the light of the three moons saw a familiar face as a pair of orange eyes looked at him. "Hello Tatsumi. Long time no see" Dorothea greeted and Tatsumi's jaw dropped as if he had seen a ghost.
