What if the Greek society never fell. This is a one piece world where Greek gods found a way to travel across worlds Influencing One Piece. Other than powers and gods, no demigods are crossing not quite Percy Jackson world. Luffy harem. NOT PG. except blood, gore, and lemons.

Readers be warned. This story involves aspects I dislike in this world. However having them as a villain theme does give the hero something to fight against. This world has some big changes. Some people's age changes, some people never died, some extra people are born. First 4 chapters show most of the changes and growth of the main characters not all there will be some flashbacks. Luffy's personality will change a lot. I am going for a mix of Clint Eastwood movies bravado and wolverines wild side in fighting. If I offend people I am sorry as I said I don't like or agree with the negative aspects that the people fight to eliminate.

Chapter 1

A daughter of Poseidon wants to explore.

After begging her father for 200 years He agrees. However the world has already been explored. So he talks with Athena to find a way around the problem. Athena tells Poseidon of a new world, one filled with water and almost unexplored. Opening a doorway he allows his daughter Hazel to travel there for four years so that she could explore. Her appearance was altered so that she would appear more human though she would keep her godly abilities. During her travels she fell in love with a man called Monkey D. Dragon. Near the end of her stay she decided that she loved him and decided to have a child with him. Before the child was born Dragon decided to go on a crusade against the government that was restricting and imposing the people. Not realising that she was pregnant when he had begun the crusade. She trusted her father-in-law and believed he was a good man. So she told him the truth about herself in why she had to leave. She told Garp she would try to come back and visit if her father would allow it. But she didn't know if she could. She told Garp that her father was the God of the sea. And that some of her power would be passed on to Luffy when he got older. She told Garp that all children of Poseidon love being free to restrain them with restrictions that would destroy them and let him be a pirate. She also asked Garp to make sure that Luffy became a good man. Like Dragon before he began his crusade.

[Shank's pov]

As the men and I got up from our drunken state from last night. I hear a loud shrieking noise from somewhere in the village. I rush on to the deck and start looking around. All the men are looking to the skies to see where this bird or creature might be. All of a sudden we see the bandit from last night running out of the street in the shallow end of the shore and pushing a rowboat into the water. Some of these men come out from the alleyways near where he was. He is paddling fast away from there. Then the men take up positions pointing their guns up the street where we can't see. All of a sudden some of them fire. Then we hear the shrieking again before we know what happens a large creature barrels out of the street knocking men everywhere slicing them up and attacking others.The creature is covered in cuts and blood. It is a creature I've never seen before. its back is 5' off the ground it has a bird as its head and back, its front feet are a mix between a paw of a lion and claws of a bird with the feathers turning around the foot. The center of the body looked like a lion with the feathers turning into fur just past the wing blades half of the front shoulder blades. Now that are only about 5 men they rushed into the water getting themselves at least shoulder deep thinking that it will keep the creature away for some reason. The creature walks the shoreline back-and-forth as if it's pacing looking at them we could see it is definitely ticked off. Then it looks out at sea where the man in the boat is apparently saying something. We hear another shriek and stare at the people around the water and the man in the boat.

Then it walks into the water. What we see next shocks us all. All the cuts start healing immediately. The wounds closed back up and we saw little round balls fall from where some blood was in some various places. Then the creature dips its whole body under the water and comes backup. As we see the water wash office body we see a magnificent creature in front of us with gold and white feathers and gold fur where the lion part actually is. However this is not a gentle creature as it tears the rest of the men into pieces slicing with its beak and claws. The man in the rowboat is now frantically rowing away. The creature dives into the water and we see ripples go all the way to the boat. Then the boat is overturned and the man and boat flies 10ft up into the air. the creature is now flying in the sky circling the capsized boat. As the bandit in the water comes up for air The creature in the sky dive bombs and drags him and itself under the water. For the next few minutes we don't see anything, no ripples, no water, nothing. Then we see the creature walking out of the water on the shore. With all its glory with no hatred or malice in its stride like a king walking in front of his people just comely walking. Then it lays down on the ground and slowly changes back into a little boy.

Wait. LUFFY!!! As we rush to Luffy we find Makino already there cradling Luffy asleep in her lap. I ask Makino "What the hell happened? What was that? I mean I know Luffy ate a devil fruit that was a zoan *cat cat fruit model lion* but that was not a lion. And how did he swim? I thought he said he couldn't swim." Watching as people started to come out of their homes.

Makino looking scared tells me in a low voice almost a whisper. "Look I will answer your questions but it is a long story and this is not the place." Looking at the crowd forming.

"Ok guys help with the cleanup. I will take Luffy to our ship. If anyone asks, tell them we got into a fight with the bandits." As they nodded at me I picked up Luffy and we went to my cabin.

[ Time skip ]

As we enter the cabin and place Luffy on the bed. I take a closer look at Makino. She has been beaten, her lip is bleeding, her eye is swelling and turning blue, and her dress torn in the front. "Ok what happened?"

She looks at me and back at Luffy. "The bandits came back and began to beat me as Luffy came down from the stairs. When the leader tore my dress and started to kiss me Luffy let out a shrill call. Right before he started to change there was a flash of light and it felt like I was staring at the sun. Then he changed into that creature. As the leader ran the other bandits shot at him and attacked with swords he clawed and pecked at them with his beak then they ran. Luffy then looked at me. For a second I thought he was going to attack. Then he walked out trying to do the least amount of damage as possible to the bar. The rest well you saw."

Running my fingers through my hair. "Ok that explains a lot but not all." Looking at her.

As she looked down she continued. "What I am about to tell you needs to be kept a secret till he becomes a pirate with you and joins your crew. Which he can't do until his mother comes for another visit." Watching her look at me. "Please he needs a good role model for a pirate that is free but a good person?"

"I was thinking of taking him with me anyway, but why is that important? Also I thought Luffy's mother left him."

Looking at Luffy again to make sure he is asleep she continued. "Luffy's mother is from another world, or place, or reality. Not sure what to call it. Where she comes from there are extremely powerful beings called Greak gods, and she is the daughter of one of the three greatest gods. He is the Poseidon God of the sea. Her name is Hazel and she is the God of hurricanes. She is young only about 320 years old when she came here."

"What! How can 320 be considered young?" I asked.

Watching as Makino covers her mouth laughing. "I thought the same thing she told me her father is over 2,600 years old." As my jaw hit the floor she continued. "In their world the greek society didn't fall like in some other worlds but thrived. Hazel is almost a carbon copy of Poseidon with the same powers just weaker by his standards, which is rare. Because she can't take Poseidon's job he created a new one for her a few hundred years ago."

Watching me blink Makino continued. " I didn't believe it at first even though I was saved by her from drowning with no boat around when a slaver threw me overboard after breaking my leg because I did not do what he said as a example to the others. Not only did she save me but healed my leg the same way Luffy did when he entered the water." Seeing that I am starting to accept this unbelievable situation Makino continued. "When she came here she was spoiled and was like a kid wanting to take it all in. She had been hear less than a week like a tourist when she found me. I became her tour guide and best friend. We got a nice boat with ease finding treasure because she could breathe underwater and allow others to with a kiss."

"So she is like a mermaid?"

Makino laffing quietly. "Oh no. One time we came across a slave ship the size of a Galleon. I was worried but she was mad. They had just made a delivery and only had a few well used girls on board. She tore holes through the ship sometimes just above or at the water line sometimes below. Each time she left the ship she would lay a girl or young boy down on the deck. Then a large geyser erupted in the center of the sinking ship forcing it almost out of the water. Then Hazel came flying out of the geyser. As she thrust her arms apart the geyser went in all directions and the ship exploded outward debris flying in a tornado of sorts all around, but missing us. As if she could control it. When I saw no more slaveres get dragged under the water she got up on the ship and picked up each person one by one. dipping each of them into the water till they were all healed." As Makino smiled at me she smirked. "I don't know any Fishmen that could do that."

"Ok so she wasn't human. So what of Luffy?"

As Makino checks Luffy again she sighs. "Hazel fell in love and decided to stop taking birth control so she could have a kid with the man she loved. Luffy is what they call demigods . After three or four hundred years apparently they either share,or cheat having sex with other people or gods. Luffy's father left on what he called a ( noble crusade ), before she had a chance to tell him she was pregnant. The door to where she comes from can only be opened for a week every four years. She had to leave a month after Luffy was born." Looking down and wiping a tear from her cheek. "She can come and visit for that week, but apparently Poseidon said the world had a hard time with her gone and he was sorry but she could not stay again. Hazel told me Poseidon has nothing against Luffy and would like to meet him someday. if Luffy makes a name for himself after all he has a lot of demigods himself and can't play favorites."

"So a month after Luffy's eighth birthday she will come for a week?" Watching Makino nod. "So who else knows?"

Watching Makino's face get very worried. "Monkey D. Garp. Luffy's other grandfather."

"What? You mean to tell me The Garp is his grandfather?" Watching her nod and trying to shush me down. "Sorry. Is he OK with this?"

Nodding her head Makino continued. "Yes, he doesn't think Luffy will like the things the marines will want him to do with his power if they find out. We both have been hoping and looking for a pirate like you for him to mentor under. Why did you think all you men got to get stuff at my bar dirt cheap." Smirking at me. "Garp agrees with his daughter-in-law, and between you and me I think he might be a little scared of her. The reason why he wanted to wait is because we don't know if the doorway is near this island or if she has a way to find him if he leaves." Looking at me with a worried look.

"OK I will wait, and yes I will take and train Luffy. The other two questions I have are what happened to his devil fruit, and why did you not want him near the ocean."

As Makino can barely keep from exploding in Laughter. "We are talking about Luffy. You saw the scene he did with the knife. Do you think he could keep what he could do in water to himself as a 3 year old."

As I am now about to bust out laughing. "Ok fair point I coincide on that one." Still about to lose it.

As Makino looks at Luffy with a now worried face. "I am not entirely sure if I am right but from what I saw that creature while destructive is intelligent. He recognized me, protected me, and remembered being told to not go in the water. You were to far away to hear what the leader said, but I made out a few words that basically gave me the impression he was planning on coming back to rape me. When he said that Luffy ignored what I said and did what he felt was right. When he was finished you saw how he walked on the shore it was like a king. After all he is a descendant of the king of the sea. I believe his blood and power changed the devil fruit in that flash into something from where he is from that is similar to a lion. In a way. As for what it is only his mother can tell us."

Scratching my head. "Yea I guess that makes sense. So what do I do again?"

Makino smiled. "Give me a way to contact you so we can get the exact timing right, and plan to come back as close to one month after his eighth birthday. Maybe you can meet Hazel. I think she will like that. Also let your crew let it slip ( accidentally ) that you will take Luffy. Garp and I are planning on taking him to an orphanage of sorts high in the mountains to hide him close so his mother can find him easier. I will stay at the bar for when she comes."

Nodding I asked. "Ok I think that will work. How will I give him to Garp?"

"When Luffy wakes take him to my place to get his stuff then set sail. Go to the southwest coast there is a cliff with a beach just beside it. I will have Garp there alone to meet you." Smiling at Luffy Makino continued. "I got to go do damage control. See if I can direct some of the attention onto you rather than Luffy."

in a serious tone I ask. "Tell my crew some of the plans, and send one or two in here to see me."

As Makino was about to leave she stopped. "Also I might not know what it is, but if it is a cross between a lion and an eagle. You might want to have some meat ready for when he wakes up. Both are carnivores by the way. "

( gulp )

[ time skip ]

[ Shanks pov ]

As I see luffy waking up. I can only wonder how will this go. "Hey sleepyhead. " Watching him sniffing the air I picked up the tray full of turkey legs and placed it on his lap as he is now alert and drooling. With him digging in I ask. "What do you remember? "

As Luffy looked down still eating he said in a quiet voice. "I don't want to talk about it."

Sighing, I tell him. "That wasn't you, it was the fruit Luffy. "

Slamming the leg with a bite out of it down on the table Luffy said. "That was me I remember everything!"

"What do you remember Luffy?"

As he goes back to eating between mouthfuls he continued. "I saw what the leader was going to do to Makino and I wasn't going to let it happen to her again! " As he bit into the leg I noticed he took some of the bone with it. Also his fingers were turning into claws.

"Ok I would be mad also at that but what do you mean again?"

As his fingers turned more normal he continued with a worried look. Speaking in a whisper he continued. "Makino talks in her sleep when she gets excited or scared. I know she was very close to my mom." Watching him blushing before he became angry again stuffing the bottom of the leg in his mouth bone and all. "Also what she was used for before mom and her met."

As I see some small fathers start to appear in his hair. "Ok I get it but you have to keep under control. Ok." As he looked up at me confused I tell him. "The more you think about someone hurting her the more you change. Getting mad is good. Going on a rampage without an immediate threat is bad. Ok?"

Looking at his hand he calmed down. "Sorry Shanks this is new. I mean I know I always wanted to protect her listening to her nightmares, but now it is like on a whole new level." Eating another leg.

"I get that. I really get that after what you did. Luckily it was early enough so almost everyone was either asleep or afraid of the gunshots and animal call. Makino said your mother wanted you to become a pirate? but also to wait until after your mother comes for her next visit."

Luffy looked at my wide eyed as he asked. "You know about my mom?"

"Yea Makino told me about your unique situation. So here is what all of us are going to do."

[ time skip ]

[ Shanks pov ]

As I see luffy swimming to shore more like a torpedo than a world class swimmer. Lucky Roux walked up to me and said. "I think I have finally found someone who can eat more than me, but where did he put it is the question?"

Laffing I look at him. "That is what you are focusing on? Really after all this?" Watching him laugh, still staring at Luffy as he ate another bite. "Yea I guess that is something." Having given them the abridged version of Luffy.

Looking one last time at Luffy I say as I turn to the helm to give them a heading. "If his grandfather is who Makino says he is I think with the proper training he will become the next Pirate King. In addition if we play our cards right maybe we can mold him into something to fix this sheathole of a world."
