Hermione fumed as she stood, wand in hand, hair sparking, shooting daggers across the room. "What do you mean 'It's gone'? It CAN'T be gone, it was there just earlier today! Do you have ANY IDEA just how BADLY I NEED THAT?!?"

At this point the wizard in front of her was fairly certain she could be heard on the other side of London and that even a stinging hex cast right now would send him to St Mungo's. "Mione, I didn't know! I promise I'll replace it tomorrow." Harry had never seen her like this, not in school, not while hunting horcruxes, not during the war, and certainly not in the relative peace since it ended. Surely this wasn't THAT vital!

She threw a jinx as she ordered, "No, you will get it now. I don't care if it's 3am and I don't care how far you have to go to find it but you WILL bring it to me if you wish to live to see the dawn!"

As Harry summoned a jacket and rushed out the front door he made a mental note to NEVER eat his pregnant wife's ice cream EVER AGAIN... Hermione with a craving was scarier than Death Eaters any day!

His one saving grace was that Hermione's cravings had changed: while two weeks ago it was ONLY Fortescue's Chocolate Chili ice cream topped with Bertie Botts, which was terribly inconvenient in the middle of the night, Hermione's muggle roots were showing as she was now craving Ben Jerry's with pickles, which was much easier to procure at all hours.

Harry quietly apparated to the alley beside his favorite all night muggle market and headed in. "Hi, Mr. Potter! Back for more ice cream, or are you out of pickles tonight?" one cashier asked with a smile. Harry just shook his head and chuckled as he headed for the frozen foods.

Despite the late night grocery runs, the emotional roller coaster his new wife was on, and the damage to Grimmauld Place all the accidental magic was causing, Harry had never been so happy and content in his entire life. In a few short months, he would be a father! That was worth it all.
