Goodnight, Jade
86 year old Jade is in a bed at Malibu Memorial Hospital.
She will die soon and she's aware of that.
Her husband Beck is already dead, since he died nearly 5 years ago.
Jade is 100 % blind, but her ears still work perfectly.
Next to her she can hear 2 voices.
One of them is Jade Caroline Emily West Oliver, her daughter and the other is her grandchild Cat Nina Belle West Oliver, her own daughter's adopted daughter.
"Mama, will grandma die?" says Cat.
"Yes, girl. Unfortunately today I'm going to lose my amazing mother. The woman who taught me how to be powerful, the woman I am similar too, my number one role model in life." says Jade II.
Jade wish she could talk to her daughter and grandchild, but her mouth refuse to allow even a tiny sound out.
In her heart and soul she doesn't wanna die yet.
She's well aware of how old she is and that few peole get to have a longer life than she's had, but she wanna see her grandchild grow up.
Cat is, as far as personality goes, a hybrid of Jade as well as Jade's friend Cat Valentine, who she was named after.
Jade II is a very good mom who has raised Cat to be a good girl.
Jade is proud of the woman Jade II has become.
"Mother, you won't be forgotten. I'll do as you've taught me and stay strong for my daughter's sake and be the best lady I can ever be." says Jade II.
"Grandma, you're so cool. I'm gonna miss you so much." says Cat.
Jade tries to talk, but her voice is gone.
Jade II and Cat sit next to Jade's bed.
"I'm sure dad waits for you in Heaven. Yes, we all believe you'll be allowed into heaven, despite whatever bad stuff you once did as a teenager." says Jade II.
"Yeah." says Cat.
Jade and Beck also has a son named Roberto Kevin Jake West Oliver, but he's not here since he's a US Navy commander and currently serve as first officer on the USS John Lennon which right now is miles away.
He know that his mom will die though and he'd love to be there, but he was unable to get a leave.
Roberto is 4 years older than Jade II and he has no wife or kids.
Ever since they were kids, Jade II and Roberto have been good friends.
They have a nice solid sister and brother relationship.
Jade feel pain in her spine.
She is very weak these days.
Last time she was up on her feet was over a year ago.
For about 14 months she's been here in this bed, unable to speak and move much at all.
Her brain and ears still function so she can hear and think properly.
The pain grow sharper.
She understands that death is a few minutes away at most, maybe less.
With struggle she move her left hand a bit, doing a hand-movement that tell her daughter that she's gonna die.
Jade II cry a bit and says "Mom, goodnight. We'll miss you very much. You'll not be forgotten."
"Damn!" thinks Jade, feeling her last breath in her throat and then...she die.
When her eyes open again she can see.
Her strength is back.
She finds herself in a white room.
Looking at herself in a mirror she sees that she look like 26 again.
Her clothes are white leather.
Being in white pleases her, since this is a good sign that she will get entry into heaven where she assume Beck also is.
Suddenly she stand outside the gates of Heaven.
When the gates open, Jade sees someone.
It is Beck and just like she does he look like he did at age 26.
"Jade, my babe. Welcome to Heaven." says Beck.
"Hi, man!" says a very happy Jade as she run up to Beck and kiss him.
"Hi, babe." says Beck.
Beck and Jade step into Heaven together.
"I'm glad you're here." says Beck.
"Awww. Thanks, Beck." says Jade with a cute smile.
"Welcome, Jade." says God.
"You must be God." says Jade.
"That's correct, Madame West." says God.
"I'm a bit surprised that I'm allowed here. I wasn't always...a...very good person." says Jade.
"Even so, over the years you've more than made up for any bad things you ever did before you matured properly. You raised your daughter into a wonderful smart lady and people love you so there's no reason to deny you a place in Heaven." says God.
"Okay. Then it's sweet being here now." says Jade.
"Good." says God and then disappear.
Jade follow Beck to a white mansion.
"Jade, this is our home for all eternity. A mansion built just for us." says Beck.
"Wonderful." says Jade.
"Yes." says Beck.
"Beck, why do we look and sound young again?" says Jade.
"Simple. We are young again. It's what we both desired to be so God made that wish come true. This is what we'll be like forever, unless we no longer want to." says Beck.
"I sure wanna look this hot until the very end of time itself." says Jade.
"Nice. I prefer to stay in this form as well." says Beck.
"Awesome. You're so handsome." says Jade.
"And you are very beautiful." says Beck.
They enter the mansion.
High up on the wall, above the stairs to the second floor, is a huge photo of Jade and Beck on the day they got married.
Jade remember that day as if had been only yesterday.
She consider it one of the 5 best days of her entire life.
"Who are you?" says Jade when she sees an old woman up on the second floor.
The woman glow with a bright white light so Jade cannot see who it is.
"Someone who's glad to see you after many years." says Beck, who know the woman's identity.
"Jade, it is me." says the woman.
"Grandma?" says Jade.
The woman's light fade so her face can be seen.
And it is indeed Jade's grandma, Martha Anne West, who died when Jade was 9.
Jade run up to the second floor and gives her grandma a hug.
"Hello, girl." says Martha.
"Hi, Grandma." says Jade.
"What a woman you've become, Jade. I'm glad to see you again. It's been so long." says Martha.
"I know. I've missed you as well." says Jade.
"Thanks. And I'm truly proud of you. Your daughter is wonderful, just like you. From up here I've seen the great job you've done as a mother." says Martha.
"Okay. Thanks. Speaking of mothers...where's my mom?" says Jade.
"Right over here, Jade." says Jade's mom, Vanessa Rae West, as she exit a room.
"Mom!" says a happy Jade, giving her mom a hug.
"Girl, you've become an amazing woman. I am so proud of you." says Vanessa.
"Sweet that you look normal again." says Jade.
"Thanks." says Vanessa, who in Heaven no longer has a face that is covered in burns.
Vanessa did in a kitchen accident.
She was cooking and a fire started that destoryed her beautiful face and killed her.
And that happened 3 years after Jade graduated Hollywood Arts High.
Unfortunately Vanessa wasn't there the day Jade and Beck got married and she never got to meet Jade II.
"Is dad here too?" says Jade.
Martha and Vanessa look at each other in silence.
"Jade, your father's not here. He wasn't allowed into Heaven." says Beck
"Why? I mean, sure he was mostly a jerk, but so was mom before the therapy." says Jade.
"God didn't see him as good enought to get a spot in Heaven so he was sent down to Hell instead." says Vanessa.
"Do you miss him, mom?" says Jade.
"Honestly no. During my last 5 years alive I no longer had any love for him and as you stated yourself, he was a total jerk so it's all fine." says Vanessa.
George Kevin West was Jade's dad.
Because of all the bad stuff he's done, he now suffer in Hell for all eternity.
"Alright." says Jade, who doesn't miss her dad either.
2 hours later, Jade, Beck, Vanessa and Martha eat dinner.
"Jade, tomorrow there's someone else who'd like to see you again." says Vanessa.
"And who might that be? Does anyone aside from you three even like me?" says Jade confused.
"Don't tell me you forgot her? The girl who always believed in you despite you being a bad girl..." says Vanessa.
Jade now understands who her mother talks about.
It is none other than Cat Valentine.
"Oh..." says Jade.
"Sweet. You remember." Vanessa with a cute little laugh.
The next day.
Beck and Jade walk to a small house.
"Go ahead, abbe. Just ring the door bell." says Beck.
Jade rings the door bell.
Cat opens the door.
She look like 19.
"Oh my gosh! Jade?" says Cat, happy to see her friend.
"Yeah, girl. It's me." says Jade as she give Cat a hug.
"When did you arrive in Heaven?" says Cat.
"Only yesterday." says Jade.
Cat has been dead for 12 years.
She died in a car accident.
2 days later, the original gang reunites in Heaven.
Jade, Beck, Cat, Tori, André and Robbie.
Trina isn't there, since she's in Hell for her crimes, just like Jade's dad is.
They've not met all at once since Tori's 50th birthday.
After that they went along different paths in life.
All of them are happy to see each other again.
"Nice that we're all here." says Tori.
"Don't you forget someone?" says Robbie.
"Well...Trina's not here with us, but she wasn't allowed into Heaven." says Tori.
"You miss her?" says Cat.
"Both yes and no. She is my sister, but she ended up as a criminal as we all are aware of. I agree with God that she should be in Hell." says Tori.
"Okay." says Cat.
"Indeed." says Tori.
"At least the rest of us are here." says Jade.
"Yeah." says Cat, giving Jade a sweet friendship-hug.
Jade is no longer alive, but she is still happy.
Here in Heaven she is once more with her friends.
She is very happy and her soul is at peace.
There's a sweet casual smile on her face.
