A story between Fawn and Nyx from the Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast.

The scout flew towards the small trail where Fawn stood there waiting. She just finished her tasks with her team for the day and she was looking forward for the walk she was going to have with the animal fairy.

The brunette waved at her with a bright smile on her lips, "Heyy!!" She cheerfully exclaimed. Nyx smiled and waved back. "Hello" she said and landed besides the animal fairy.

"So how was your day?" Fawn asked, the two already taking steps. "It was alright, tiring as always" Nyx stated and rolled her shoulder in small circles, ignoring the knots and spasms in her muscles.

She winced as her simple exercise traced over a knot. "Are you okay?" Fawn asked, noticing the sudden action of the other fairy. "Oh yes I'm fine, my shoulders are a bit tense after today's tasks that's all" she exclaimed.

"Remind me to give you a massage once we get home" the animal fairy stated. Nyx chuckled at the thought, "I'll keep that in mind" she replied and lowered her sore arms to her sides.

The brunette rolled her eyes with a smile, "I'll get rid of those tight spasms on your shoulders" she remarked as if it was such a glorious thing to do. It pretty much was since no one has ever had any physical contact with the scout who wouldn't really allow it.

Suddenly, the brunette paused and turned her gaze towards a small bushy clearing. Nyx stopped walking too and tensed when she heard the rustles of leaves.

Her instincts told her to reach for her spear immediately but something inside her refused to do so, which concerned her.

Fawn walked cautiously towards the noise, making Nyx become even more uneasy. "Fawn! What are you doing?" She questioned with a harsh whisper full of panic and concern.

She was only responded by a single hush and the animal fairy only walked closer towards the clearing. She pushed some of the leaves out of her way to further determine what the noise was.

Nyx stiffened when she heard a sharp gasp from the other fairy, "Nyx look!" The animal fairy yelled as she picked up a small strange animal she had never seen before.

The scout skeptically approached the animal fairy who held onto the strange creature. "What is that?" She asked, her hand already reaching out for her spear.

"I don't know, but can you please lower down your hand, I don't think it is dangerous" Fawn replied, noticing that the taller fairy had her hand on the tip of her spear.

Nyx raised an eyebrow, "you don't know that, and there's such thing called safety and doing my job" the scout announced, her eyes expressing a straightforward expression.

Fawn rolled her eyes, "by doing your job you mean scaring an animal that is only a baby" she stated. Nyx scoffed, "I don't know Fawn, I believe we already had a talk about these sort of things" she remarked.

"We did, but you are here with me and this little guy doesn't seem like trouble sooo" Fawn exclaimed and gently scratched the golden brown fur of the little creature who only purred.

Nyx rolled her eyes and lowered her hand.

"Besides, don't you think he is adorable?" The animal fairy asked with a baby voice and held the animal in her arms.

Nyx peeked over and saw the critter. It was a very strange animal since he was pretty small and most animals were pretty big here at Pixie Hollow. It looked like a small squirrel with long claws. It's eyes were the shape of a cat's, it even had its eyes constricted in slits like a cat would.

It's fur was different shades of browns and greys and he had a small tuft of white fur on his chest. His tail wasn't bushy like a squirrel tail would normally be, but rather thin with a tuft of hair poking out in the end like a lion's tail. The small critter purred as Fawn scratched his ears.

The little guy glanced at the scout, it's pale green eyes blinked at her before he tilted his head to the side and twitched his tiny pinkish nose.

Nyx soften her gaze. "He is pretty lovely" she replied being tempted to gently pat the animal on its head. She resisted the urge but the little creature jumped on her shoulder provoking her to yell a hey. She hissed through clenched teeth as the long sharp talons of the animal dug Into her clothing and poked her skin.

Fawn giggled as she watched the scout fairy struggle to get a hold of the critter who crawled on her shoulders and back. Finally, Nyx grabbed the brown looking rodent and raised him up in the air.

"Your claws hurt" she growled while giving the little guy a short stare. The creature hissed and bared his teeth but Nyx's only reaction was a raise of her eyebrows. "Oh so you are giving me an attitude now?" She sharply replied with furrowed eyebrows.

"Take your little rascal" she stated and dropped him on Fawn's arms. "Hey! He's just a baby!" Fawn declared and held onto the little creature. Nyx only scoffed and walked away, "Come on, Let's go" she remarked.

Fawn quickly tumbled towards the other fairy until she was walking side to side with her "Could we keep him?" She asked while she scratched the creature on his white chest fur.

"If I told you absolutely not you would still keep him anyways" The scout said while looking at the cheerful purring animal. "So it's a yes?"

Nyx crossed her arms together and stared at the animal fairy.

"I'll take that as a yes, yay! What should we name him?" The animal fairy exclaimed. Nyx rolled her eyes. "I don't have any inspiration for names" she muttered.

"Let's name him Icyfluff" Fawn stated and raised the animal up. "That's the most ridiculous name you could have possibly come up with" the scout declared.

"Okay, um, how about...Yarrow?" Fawn asked. "You are going to name him after a plant?" Nyx stated with a raised eyebrow. An unconvinced expression marked on her face.

"Yeah your right, oooo I got it! Little Monster!"

The brunette exclaimed. Nyx glared at her with disbelief, "No" she replied without hesitation.

The animal fairy groaned in slight annoyance. "Then what should his name be?" She asked. The rodent-looking creature turned his green gaze to the scout.

"Just call him Patch for his white patch of fur on his chest or something" she replied and hesitantly patted the small animal on his head who only glared at her in return.

Fawn paused for a moment, thinking, before a smile tugged her lips "That's a sweet name! Patch it is, and you said you don't have any inspiration for names" she said and punched the scout on her shoulder blade.

Nyx stumbled forwards at the sudden force from her back and she frowned once she regained her footing. "I can't allow you to name him Little Monster" she stated and fixed her bracers.

Fawn continued to snuggle with Patch until the little monster jumped on Nyx yet again. This time however, Nyx grabbed him midair which elicited a little yelp from Patch.

The scout raised him up in the air and soften her gaze. "You're actually pretty cute when you aren't scratching my back" the taller fairy remarked with a slight smile.

The constricted pupils of Patch dilated into wide black circles and he purred. He yawned and Nyx felt the strong urge to place him on her shoulder and keep him there until he slept. Like a mother cradling her newborn.

And she did.

The little guy's head rested on her broad left shoulder, the scout's hand wrapped around his golden brown body protectively. Her finger tips reached Patch's neck and she gently rubbed the back of his shoulder blades with her fingers.

The small feline rodent purred in satisfaction and the vibrations from his neck tickled Nyx. It was a weird sensation but it felt somewhat pleasant. Especially since her muscles were pretty stiff at the moment from the day's work.

Fawn couldn't help but smile at the scene. She walked to the other side where Nyx's free shoulder was and placed her hand on the scout. She held a teasing grin that Nyx unsurprisingly noticed.

"W-What?" She stuttered, feeling slightly uncomfortable. "Oh nothing, it's just so cute seeing you, the most serious, stern and humorless fairy being so gentle and warm hearted towards a mysterious animal." She stated.

Nyx hesitantly cleared her throat. "Uh thanks?" She uncertainly said with an awkward smile. She turned around to look at Fawn but was taken aback when she was greeted by a warm kiss on her lips. The moment was brief and short and when the two broke apart, Fawn couldn't help but giggle at the perplexed expression on the scout's face.

"Cheer up won't ya?" The animal fairy exclaimed with a bright smile and tumbled forward. Nyx blinked before smirking, "I'll get you back" she quietly exclaimed so she wouldn't wake up the sleeping animal on her shoulder.

Fawn turned around while walking backwards, she raised an innocent eyebrow but a teasing smile that was slightly infuriating to the black-haired fairy. The brunette shrugged. "Is that so?" She replied and turned around.

"You're lucky that Patch is with me right now" the scout remarked. Fawn chuckled, "I sure am" she whispered but didn't want to admit to that to the taller fairy for she would give the scout the victory that she very much was seeking for.

Suddenly, an idea popped in the animal fairy's mind "Hey, we have to raise Patch together! I'll teach him how to care for himself while you teach him self defense, we are Moms!" She excitedly stated.

"I'm not so sure about that" Nyx murmured, still massaging the tiny muscles of the small fragile but strong body of the creature on her shoulder who was now deeply asleep. Fawn frowned, "come on Nyx, it will be fun! I promise you that!" She winked at the scout who only stared at her with amusement and uncertainty.

Nyx softly sighed, "Fine, but only because I can't stand you calling me a Mom" the scout replied. Fawn smirked, "Haha yeah if you say sooo!" She exclaimed and skipped forwards.

Nyx smiled while she watched the cheerful fairy in front of her. This was going to be a whole new adventure for both of them but mostly for her since she had no idea how to raise or even care for an animal. But she was relieved that she was going to have her troublemaker by her side guiding her on every way of the new experience. Yep, the following weeks were going to be exhausting alright, but the pleasant and unforgettable memories that were about to form were going to be just as much of an award as performing a good task and receiving credit for it by the queen during work.

And she had to admit, she couldn't wait.

A/N I hope you all enjoyed my first One Shot story on these two! They had so much chemistry and I just have to ship them! They are already dating beforehand in my story in case you all are confused about anything related to that and they also live together too in my mind as I picture it. As for the design of Patch, just search up Jerboa Ark Survival Evolved and that's where I got my inspiration from. Thanks for reading, stay safe and catch you all on a different story!
