Quick note, I wanted to do a solo fic, but I also wanted to make a reaction fic, so I'm doing both. As for what story I'm basing it on, it's my own idea I had circulating in my head for MONTHS now. Honestly, I'm using this in hopes of motivating myself to write more.

Chapter 0
The Gathering
The giant Grimm Whale, Monstra had just been destroyed by Oscar, when a white light suddenly washed over all of Remnant. As a result, a number of people were transported to an unknown location, in piles.
From one of these piles, Team RWBY, JNR, Oscar, Penny and Qrow slowly got up and tried to reorientate themselves. Qrow, having a lot of experience, waking up from hangovers, was the first to recover. As he looked around, he saw that they were in some sort of movie theater, and was that a bar on the other side?
"Hey kids, get up." Qrow ordered softly looking over at said kids. His eyes widened at what he saw, mostly their hair. Their hairstyles had returned to how they looked before arriving at Atlas.
"Ugh, Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked softly, as she and her friends slowly reorientate themselves.
"Ugh, Ruby?" Penny groaned. For some reason, the Android had a serious headache. Is this a "hangover" that father spoke of? If so, then she's going to do thorough research about it and its causes, and avoid them at all costs.
"Where are we?" Yang asked, starting to recover.
"That, is what I want to know." A familiar voice called. Any remaining vertigo was forgotten, as the group immediately drew their weapons at the sight of their enemy, Cinder Fall. And to her sides were Neo and Watts.
"Cinder." Ruby glared.
"Ruby Rose." Cinder spat. The two groups were now in a standoff.
"Now now." A voice called, grabbing everyone's attention. "There will be no fighting here."
Turning to the source of the voice the two groups were shocked by what they saw.
It was a "man" dressed in black clothes with bells lining his shoulders and thighs. "His" face was paste grey, with discernable no mouth. In place of where his eyes should be were two blue orbs. Finally, he had black, hair-like tentacles that reached his upper back, and had a posture that resembled a butler in a mansion.
"Who are you?" Cinder demanded.
"Please be patient, not everyone has arrived yet, and I'd rather not have to explain more than once." The creature said. "Then again, with several of you, I may have to do that anyway." Giving pointed looks to Cinder and Yang, eliciting glares from the women, ones he ignored without issue.
"How about now?" A spine-chilling voice called out, cutting through the present tension with its own. Swiftly turning their weapons to the new arrivals, the heroes and villains were met with the calm presence of Salem, with Tyrian and Mercury at her sides, each with a sadistic and cocky smirk, respectively.
"Not yet." The being replied, completely unperturbed by Salem's presence. "We're still waiting on four more groups before we can begin."
"Why not just summon us all in one place if we have to wait so long?" Watts asked, annoyed.
"It's easier this way for all of us." The being replied. "Ah, group four is here, perfect timing."
The three previously established groups turned to the sight of Ironwood, Winter and Robyn walking towards them cautiously, with Robyn being noticeably distant from the other two.
Weiss wanted to run and greet her sister, but knew now was not the time. So, the young Schnee had to be satisfied with her sister's presence.
Upon arriving, Ironwood immediately demanded, "Why have you brought us here!"
"Be patient, not everyone is here yet, and I don't like repeating myself." The being repeated looking at his grey claws like with a look of disinterest, as if ignoring the Atlas General's presence.
Ironwood tried to persist, but was interrupted. "Whoop, next group's here, so shut up and wait." The being then pushed Ironwood aside to greet the new guests, who were Hazel, Emerald, and most surprisingly of all Tai and Raven.
"Dad?!" Ruby and Yang exclaimed.
"Girls!" Tai rushed to his daughters and immediately pulled them into a hug. The girls reciprocated the hug, with Yang giving Raven a silent look over her father's shoulder, while the Spring Maiden simply stared on, taking a few occasional glances at the villains. When Tai looked up from his hug, he almost immediately pulled himself and his daughter back a step with a glare directed at Salem and Cinder, who were both busy silently glaring at Hazel and Emerald, respectively.
Emerald tried to hide a little behind Hazel, but the man himself was barely phased at all by Salem's gaze.
However, before anything else was done, "Welcome! I hope your trip wasn't too unpleasant?" The being said, either completely ignorant of the growing tension, or ignoring altogether.
"I've had better, but it could've been worse." Hazel replied politely, not taking his eyes off Salem. The being simply nodded. Then he grabbed a pad from, somewhere, and noted something down.
"Oh, in case you were wondering, we still have two groups left, so I'd appreciate your patience, before you ask any questions." Hazel nodded, as did Raven, Emerald however, was busy avoiding Cinder's glare, and Tai was keeping his eyes on Salem, while still hugging his daughters.
"How soon will that be?" Qrow asked with a narrowed look.
Instead of responding, the being simply held up three claws. Before silently counting down with his hand. The moment he reached zero, the next group arrived.
"Welcome, Beacon Professors, hopefully you didn't have to walk for too long." The entity greeted behind the villains.
Turning, to where he gestured, the five groups were met with the faces of Professor Goodwitch and most shockingly of all, Ozpin walking towards them, weapons drawn and pointed at the villains.
Oscar's eyes widened at the sight of Ozpin, The Long Memory in his hand. He then patted himself, only to realize that the weapon was no longer on him, and that Ozpin had the real The Long Memory. Oscar then realized how this could've happened, and sent a glare to their mysterious host. The being merely shrugged sheepishly in response, only to turn back to the others, more specifically, a certain Grimm Witch and Beacon Headmaster.
"Ozpin." Salem greeted coldly.
"Salem." Ozpin said, just as frigid.
The two continued to glare at each other, as everyone took an instinctual step back, weapons drawn. As the tension grew, so did the chance of a fight breaking out. Salem's hands were being filled by black orbs of magic, while Ozpin's grip on his cane tightened, the crystal top pulsating with green energy.
Everyone tensed for the inevitable fight that was about to break out, except for the host. Instead, he simply sighed in exasperation, and marched his way through the crowd to where the two immortals were having their Mexican stand-off. He then got between the two and held his arms between them, breaking their concentration.
"There will be no fighting here, so break it up you two." The being said, before tilting his head, seemingly in thought. "Never mind, you already did. Still, no fighting!"
The two immortals glared at the being, most likely for his jab at when they were married. However, the host didn't pay them any mind, instead he turned his attention somewhere else. When everyone else turned to where he was facing, they saw the faces of who they assumed was the last group to arrive.
Immediately upon seeing them two figures dashed to embrace two of the three people there. One was Neo, who was silently crying as she clutched the shirt of Roman Torchwick, who simply smiled softly at his partner in crime. The other was Jaune, who was busy embracing one Pyrrha Nikos who returned the embrace in fervor. The last person was Sienna Khan, who simply stood awkwardly to the side unable to comment on the situation.
Everyone else simply stared in varying displays of disbelief. How, how was this possible. Blake herself simply stared at the form of the late White Fang leader. She knew Sienna died, everyone who arrived with her did, so how were they here?
"Okay, that's enough." The host said loudly, interrupting the moment the two pairs were having, and eliciting glares from said pair, on top of most of the heroes. However, said host proceeded to give zero fucks as he calmly walked to the front of the theater as stood before the seven groups he gathered together.
"Now that everyone's here, please have a seat. I don't care where you sit, just do so. And, before anyone complains, the sooner you finish, the sooner I can answer all of your questions." The host explains, as several people tried to speak up.
With begrudging nods, the people of Remnant followed the being's instructions and began seating themselves.
The kids mostly sat together, with Pyrrha and Penny seated far from each other, only to share an awkward glance here and there.
Salem and her subordinates were grouped up as well. Luckily, there were more than enough seats for everyone, so no one had to sit next to someone they didn't want to. However, while Watts waited patiently for an explanation and Tyrian looked eager for a chance to rip someone to pieces, Cinder was busy glaring at Emerald, trying to understand why she and Hazel were not joining them.
Ozpin and Goodwitch were also grouped together, but on the opposite side of the theater. However, Ozpin and Salem still managed to occasionally glare at one another, in spite of this distance.
Ironwood and Winter were seated around the center, with the Specialist a little closer to the kids position near the front. Ironwood simply glared at everyone for one reason or another.
Robyn decided to join Team (S)TRQ near the front, as Qrow was the only person in the theater she knew and trusted. While Qrow was hesitant to let Raven sit next to them, ironically, he had more reasons to trust his backstabbing sister than Ozpin. At least she didn't lie about not having any plans to deal with Salem.
As for the last five, they mostly sat in the back to not draw any attention. Emerald was trying to avoid Cinder's gaze. As for Hazel, he simply sat between the two, blocking the Fall Maiden's line of sight. Roman and Neo joined the two, mostly so they didn't have to deal with Little Red or Cinder. As for Sienna, she really didn't have anywhere else to sit. The only person she really knew in this place was Blake, and she'd rather not have to deal with the traitor who left without explanation. Was she mad at Blake for leaving? At first yes, but after thinking it over and seeing what Adam has done, the tiger Faunus didn't blame her.
"Good, now that you are all seated, may I have your attention please?" The being said pointedly. This irked Cinder, Salem, and Ozpin for some reason. After a second, he said, "Now that I have your attention, you may begin asking your questions."
Like a damn that has been burst open, people started asking questions left and right like a machine gun. However, instead of panicking, the host simply waited for the storm to die down, or for someone to stand out and grab his attention.
Luckily, one individual decided to use a simple, but effective method.
"Mr. Watts, you have something you wish to share with the class." The host remarked, resealing the dam, as everyone turned to one Arthur Watts, who had his hand raised like a student.
Ignoring the smartass remark, Arthur simply asked, "Who are you?"
"Excellent question!" The host said. "I am Arcana: The Fool, but you can call me Yu." The now named, Yu greeted.
"Yu?" Weiss questioned.
"Yeah, you got a problem with that Snow Princess?" Yu retorted.
Team RWBY had to hold in their snickers at the new, but familiar nickname given to their teammate. However, before Weiss can reprimand them, another voice called out.
"Can I assume that you are the one who brought us here?" Salem asked calmly. Perhaps by killing him, they could return-
"You can, but then you'd be wrong." Yu answered, causing Salem to frown. "I didn't bring you, my boss did, I'm just your host."
"Host?" Glynda questioned.
"Well, I consider it babysitter. My job is to make sure you people don't break anything, anybody, and that you are all well fed and rested throughout your stay here. Any more questions?" Yu asked, earning annoyed looks from several audience members.
"And how long will our stay be?" Ironwood questioned darkly. Yu simply shrugged.
"Time is relative here. Most I can promise you is that you all will return to the exact time you left, give, or take an attosecond. As for how long?" Yu shrugged. "Well, that is for the boss to decide."
"Yeah, I got one, why does Ruby and Weiss have their old hairstyles back?" Qrow asked. Aforementioned Huntresses checked, and indeed, their hairstyles had returned to what they were before arriving in Atlas.
"My boss preferred it this way." Yu answered nonchalantly, earning deadpans from Wiess and Ruby.
"Okay, well, this has been really informative, a lessons to be sure, but can you answer me this?" Roman asked sarcastically. "How am I alive? I'm pretty sure I died. And, if my guess is not wrong, so are stripes and shield girl, so how is it possible I'm still breathing?"
"Well, Roman, death, like time is relative, we simply regressed you, Ms. Nikos and Ms. Khan, to a time where your bodies were alive, and when you return, you will still be dead." Yu answered.
Neo didn't seem to appreciate Yu's answer as she clutched Roman by his shirt and coat, and glared at the grey host. Yu was hardly phased. He didn't make the rules, he simply followed them.
"So, why are we here?" Ruby asked. The audience swears that if Yu could smile, he would be right now.
"Finally, about time one of you asked that question." Yu said in fake relief. "Well, to answer that little girl, my boss has brought you here to watch a world parallel to yours, just with some differences, in hopes of learning from the many mistakes made over the course of your history."
"Why should we care about mistakes others made." Cinder asked dismissively.
"So, you don't pay for them. Then again, you barely pay any attention to your own mistakes, Cinder, why should you learning from others be any different?" Yu retorted, electing a smirk from Watts and a cackle from Tyrian. Cinder simply glared at Yu, her eye glowing, but Yu was unphased.
"Anything else?" He asked.
"Yes, what if some of us don't want to watch what you show? And secondly, what's to stop us from capturing or ending you?' Ironwood threatened.
"Well, the boss won't send you back, but there's rooms for you if you don't wanna watch and simply sulk the entire time. The map's right over there in the back." Yu explained pointing at the back wall. Everyone glanced there for a second before turning back to Yu. "As for your second question, General." Yu then surprised everyone by drawing a large remote from his sleeve.
"My boss and I let you keep your powers and weapons in good faith that you will use them responsibly. If you can't, then a push of this button will turn on a generator that will suppress all of your powers, and strip you of all of your weapons, prosthetics included." Yu answered sternly, glancing at Yang and Mercury and Ironwood (I know Tyrian has a prosthetic, but Yang, Mercury, and Ironwood would be the most affected).
"Now, before we begin, I'm going to lay down the ground rules." Yu explained seriously. "You will not attack anyone without permission. You will not kill anyone period. Insults and degrading statements are permitted, but in moderation. If anyone of you breaches these rules, all of you will be punished. AM… I… CLEAR?" Yu asked.
Everyone nodded, even Salem. Yu simply nodded in response.
"Good, now let us begin. Oh, for those wondering about the bar, it's for food and drinks, just be careful with what you order." Yu said. He then moved out of the way, and started the show. The lights dimmed, and the title displayed.
Team BLHD
The title sent chills down some of the heroes' spines while the villains were intrigued.
"Oh, forgot to mention, there will be a lot of blood and gore, in this series, so if anyone has a weak stomach, barf bags are under your seats." Yu explained. Ruby and Jaune immediately went for theirs, while Neo went for hers soon after. She's killed people, but gore makes her queasy. On the other hand, Tyrian looked excited at the thought of blood and death. Everyone else had mixed feelings about this.
A drop of blood falls in front of the title. When it lands, it causes a ripple effect, and the screen blackens.
Chapter End
How is that for the first Chapter? Hopefully, it intrigued you. Anyway, I have plans for this story. It's honestly gonna be a hit or miss for me. This story is basically a reaction to a bunch of O.C.s, depending on the support this story gets, will depend on whether or not I'll be continuing it. Luckily, I have a lot of it planned out. FYI, there will be MAJOR changes from the original story line.
