Setting: Set after Recollecting

A/N: I never intended this being a trilogy!

Mikasa couldn't stop smiling as she gazed up on her sleeping children as they were already so tuckered out from the afternoon events of celebrating their 5th birthday. Both falling asleep on the older twin Kuchel's bed. Levy the younger twin cuddled next to his sister. Such sweet and serene sight to see, Mikasa didn't have the heart to pick up her son and place him into his own bed. She wanted them to enjoy their sibling bond as much as they could and they will have the time to do it as well. They certainly wouldn't have to be forced to grow up like their parents had.

They are good kids. Taking one of her hands softly caressing their black hair for a couple of minutes and they were completely knocked out Kuchel was a heavy sleeper but Levy he was the one who usually wake up in an instant.

Mikasa never minded that her daughter was named after Levi's mother, it's not like they were going to stop having children after having two. Hell Levy was certainly a surprise as the midwife told Mikasa to keep pushing as Levy was delivered next.

Mikasa couldn't forget the look on Levi's face as they now had a daughter and son. "Two" he simply said as the newborn babes were laid on Mikasa's chest so they could bond with their mother.

Kuchel still meant the world to Levi even if he never said it out loud. She loved the expression on his face when she told him that their son's name is Levy. Levi would never know just how much she cares for him after all he's done for her, Mikasa still hated some of the time they lost.

"They are really here" she said gently as she tried not to cry.

It was mixture of happy and sad tears that evening the twins were born. Given their lives prior to the end of Titans. Mikasa never thought settling down and having children would ever happen and with her former Captain as well. To be truthful Mikasa thought she was going to die young like so many others in her life.

The matriarch of Ackerman family couldn't help but wonder what her old self would think of her present self.

The girl who loved Eren Yeager vs The Woman who loves Levi Ackerman. That would be a sight to see.

"Gloomy Brat, when are you going to help with the clean-up" Levi's voice breaking up her thoughts.

Mikasa raised an eyebrow "I'm your wife and the mother of your children, when are going to stop calling me that?"

"Tch, I'll think about it"

It wasn't the first time they've had that discussion.

Walking up to her husband "Think real hard on it" as she placed her arms around his shoulders, her hands intertwining behind his neck "I haven't been a gloomy brat in a long time" she tells him, her voice lowered

He smirks, "Oh I'm well aware" lifting his head as their eyes met their faces inching closer as if he was taking her bait "I just love that it annoys you"

"I see how it is, Shorty!" Mikasa said with a small smile she tried to hide.

Gloomy Brat and Shorty who in the hell thought that would have been terms of endearment between Humanity's strongest and The Girl worth 100 soldiers. His lips touching hers, an arm wrapping around her waist trying to pull her in even more to his body, it certainly had been a while since they last had a private intimate moment.

Breaking the kiss "Let's not waste this moment" she whispered to Levi rubbing her body against his, clearly a tactic to convince him otherwise. A cheap tactic she'd have to admit to herself but fucking hell did it work.

"But the house..."

"It can wait till tomorrow" She pleaded "Come on Levi, when was the last time you could really have your carnal animalistic way with me?" Levi knew that there was hidden promise in that phrasing which translated too 'Anywhere'

Mikasa knew she had him right then and there, Levi letting out a sharp breathe "Alright" as the two snuck off to their bedroom to make the most of their evening. Leaving the remaining housework till the morning.
