Padme opened the door to her house and stepped inside. Luke catapulted off the couch, did a flip and landed on his feet. He knocked into a side table and a vase, tumbled off. Right before it hit the ground, Leia caught it with the force.
"I thought I said no jedi training in the house," said Padme, giving Anakin a look.
"It's raining outside," said Luke. Leia rolled her eyes. They had just gotten back from the senate, which seemed to be getting more useless by the day. All they did was argue. Leia could not remember the last time they actually accomplished something. Anakin kissed Padme's cheek.
"I am going to start making dinner," she announced.
"l will help," said Leia, following her mother into the kitchen.
"Ani, can you run down to the store to pick up a couple things?" said Padme. "Take Luke with you, before he destroyes the house." Padme handed Anakin the grocery list and he left with Luke.
Later
The Skywalker family sat around the table eating diner. "How was your day?" asked Anakin.
"Not too good, lately the only thing the senate can accomplish is arguing," she said. "How was your day?"
"Me and Luke spent most of it training," said Anakin. He turned to Leia "You should train to become a jedi. I know you can use the force."
"I think there are other ways to make a difference than with a laser sword," said Leia. This was not the first time her father had wanted her to become a jedi.
"Lightsaber," Luke corrected her under his breath, Leia rolled her eyes at him. There was a knock at the door, and Anakin stood up and went to answer it. A moment later Anakin walked into the room with Obi-Wan.
"Uncle Obi-Wan!" said Luke excitedly. They had not seen Obi-Wan in a long time.
"Hello there," said Obi-Wan.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" said Padme.
"I can't stay, I just wanted to stop bye for a visit," said Obi-Wan.
Later
"You should get ready for bed Leia," said Padme "You need to leave for Alderaan bright and early tomorrow."
