Location: on the edge of the unknown region
It was an unusually bleak morning on the ship, the gray walls and corridors only added to this feeling. The only reprieve he got from this feeling was the endless void that was space, he didn't know why but the small dots of light twinkling in the void was hypnotic but this relief was interrupted by the call of a crew member
"Captain Vinis Kale we have a multiple weak singles coming from one of the nearby star systems, it might be some rebels or smugglers" his second in command Gar Dellis quickly cut in "I think it would be best if we investigated captain".
Captain Vinis felt elated that something was happening, it had been a week since he had been on patrol but he had to check in at the outpost he was stationed at for his report and resupply, ever since the rebels started attacking important supply lines there had been large shortages of food to spares parts putting large amounts of pressure on every captain, now this was his chance to help alleviate some of that pressure.
Vinis turned to the navigations Officer " how long would the trip be and do we have the time to make the jump" the officer looked at his terminal and looked back at Vinis " it would take us a day to get there, the reason being is that we don't have a hyperlane so we are going to have to stop during our jump periodically to make sure we don't crash into something" Vinis was disappointed by the answer but he had to give his report of the area and resupply at the checkpoint soon.
"Navigator mark the location of the signal and send it to me, then take us back to the outpost" the navigation officer followed the commands typing away, soon the ship started to move forward, then it went into a leap that was faster then light.
Billions of light-years away was a small blue marble sitting in the dark void, soon this world would be launched into chaos.
Ok this is my first attempt to write a story and I'm sorry if this is short but I hope you like it, I'll be back with hopefully a longer chapter till then give me feedback on this one
