William is a reality bender and a member of the Chaos Insurgency.
When he had first awakened as a reality bender, he was fortunately enough to be found by a paranormal organisation called the Chaos Insurgency.
Fortunately?
Yes, as he had found that there were other paranormal organisations out there that would have treated him very differently.
Like the UN lead Global Occult Coalition or GOC for short. They're pretty nasty as they sole objective is the elimination of anything that's not normal.
The GOC has recently relaunched the Ichabod Campaign, it's a campaign which seeks to eliminate all reality benders regardless of the reality bender in question has committed any crime or not.
'The scummy organisation produces scummy organisations' William thought as even before he had awaken, he already doesn't view the United Nations in any bright light.
Like when China which has Uygher concentration camps is part of the Human rights council... you know it's bullshit and and so is the entire corrupt organisation.
The. There's the SCP Foundation that's obsess with locking up anything supernatural and keeping it a secret.
William wouldn't want to get captured by these guys as he'll end up locked up in some god forsaken place and be treated as a lab rat.
Fortunately he was found by the Chaos Insurgency who started out as a splinter group of the Foundation.
While the Insurgency started out as part of the Foundation but they disagree on the ideology of the Foundation, as rather than locking up anything that's supernatural in some dusty old place the Insurgency would rather use it for the betterment of mankind.
Suffice to say it didn't take a lot of convincing to make William join in on the Insurgency.
Anyway fast forward a few months
William is on his first mission of raiding a Foundation base, unfortunately due to faulty intelligence the initial plan quickly fell apart.
The intel said that Scranton Reality Anchor's (it's an an reality bending field generator made from dead reality benders) on the base is out off action but suffice to say that intel is not entirely true as William could hardly use his reality bending powers!
Although it seems that the intel is not entirely wrong ether as the reality anchors on the base seems to be suffering some sort of malfunctions as they would occasionally flicker on and off.
So trouble started when William tries to forcefully overpower a faulty Scranton Reality Anchor which caused it to explode.
Booom
The resulting explosion teleports William to another reality.
Next thing you know William suddenly awoken in a completely different world.
