Chapter One

"Hey did you hear? A big fight blew last night between Naruto-Senpai and some group of other boys from our class."

"Whaa? Really? Is he okay?"

"Well duh? It's Naruto-senpai we talking about!"

Lucy Heartfilia sighed as she reached for her locker to take out her belongings for class. The usual gossip of the students were getting on her nerves the more it ringed on her ears.

"What's wrong? Not having a good day already?"

Lucy shrugged at her best friend, Levy McGarden.

Levy had a petite slender build with a rather average height for her age. She had shoulder length blue hair with long bangs framing either side her face that freely reached her chest, tied up with a yellow bandana around her head. She wasn't blessed with the curves and height of Lucy, but she looked cute in her own way.

"It's just getting annoying, hearing about him every day with new drama. Why hasn't the teachers kicked him out yet?" Lucy groaned, her annoyance present in her face, brushing her furrowed eyebrows, crossed arms, not leaving any room for the other person's opinion.

"Shhh! You don't want him to somehow hear about it!" Levy pulled her by the arms and took her away from the morning crowd in the locker room.

"Hey what gives?! It's girls room, he would not dare to pop up there!" Lucy pulled her arms from her friend's grip. "Why is everyone so scared of him anyway?"

"You asking me? He is strong..." Levy answered, rolling her eyes. "We have seen what happened to students that dared to challenge him. He is ruthless and doesn't care about consequences. Being the grandson of Tsunade-sama doesn't help either."

Lucy chuckled. "Unless." She took out her mobile phone, a projected screen soon popped out, with a text message prompt.

"Hey... hello... can we talk? Can we meet after class tomorrow?... 2B Basketball main hall, I will wait." Levy read out loud, as she found herself dumbfounded, seeing Naruto's avatar as the sender.

"No way..." Levy gasped as Lucy giggled with a wink.

"Seems like Mr. Delinquent has a crush on me. Not that it's anything new for a guy to fall for me." She grinned, playfully flipping her hair.

"Lucy this is nothing to laugh about! You are not meeting him, right? Yes of course you-"

"I am. Why wouldn't I?" Lucy rolled her eyes.

"Why?! He is trouble? He only uses girls for his weird sexual fantasies. Jenny was his latest-" Levy rambled on an on until Lucy had to physically shut her mouth with her hand.

"Levy calm down. I was just joking! I haven't even replied to him." Once Levy calmed down, she let her speak.

"That's true, I only see him texting... wait that's trouble too! If you ignore his texts and he gets mad and-"

"Ugh, stop over thinking it. He wouldn't hurt his sister's friends." Lucy pointed towards a girl that had just walked towards the locker room.

"Rias... but she is his step sister! I doubt he would care whether we are friends with her or not." Levy looked petrified and mumbled with worry. Lucy gave her a reassured pat on her shoulder.

"Let's worry about it later, we are getting late, okay?"

Levy forced a smile and nodded.

"You are right."

(Scene Change)

"Hey. You coming?" Rias Greymory asked her step brother. Naruto turned around, his ocean blue eyes gazing towards the young beauty. Her long and lush crimson hair was one of her distinctive feature that she had inherited from her mother, Kushina Uzumaki. Her eyes however matched the shades of Naruto, which was odd since they didn't have the same father and her father had crimson eyes. Their relation was rather confusing at a glance.

"Yes, I am waiting for someone..." Naruto trailed off, his eyes going towards the clock that hung on the centre of the hall.

"Oh? Interesting." She chuckled. "Is she cute?"

Naruto pondered over it, not aware of the tease as he took it as a genuine question.

...

"Hmmm... from what I have seen, cute is not the best word to describe her looks."

"What do you mean?" bewildered, she asked. "You got a crush on her?"

"Rias, you should know better that our kind doesn't get attracted so easily. What are you even trying?" He walked past her and made his way to the large holographic screen that was used to display the match points during basketball matches.

"I need her for some stuff. So just drop your annoying tone and get lost." He continued as he placed his hand on the screen, activating the voice command which soon turned the screen to be under his control.

"Hai Hai, ." she rolled her eyes, waved her hand in the air as she turned her heels, and left the classroom.

Hearing the door shut once she left, Naruto let out a sigh of relief.

'Guess she isn't coming after all.'

As his eyes fell on the basketball that laid on the ground, he decided to kick his anger out on the poor ball.

After kicking and running after the ball for a minute he decided to aim for the basket and threw the ball at an angle that would have perfectly scored him a point if he played in a tournament.

"Smooth."

He heard a voice speak. Turning his head behind him, he looked shocked for a brief moment.

"You came." He spoke, turning his full attention to the girl that appeared to be rather anxious.

She felt uneasy from the way he was looking at her, his icy blue eyes felt like piercing arrows through her skin. Why was he eyeing her like that? She didn't sense his stare having any ulterior motives but yet it made her feel extremely self conscious.

She wore a navy blue shirt and a pair of short jeans that highlighted her slender legs. Naruto looked at her and nodded, further making her feel more self conscious.

'She is a walking fashion industry... reminds me of her.' He wondered.

"It was a smooth shot." She complimented him, trying to break his eye contact that was glued to her.

Naruto looked at the ball and then back at her, back to staring at her with the same vigour.

"W-why are you not in the basketball team?" Lucy gathered her courage and asked him.

"You play so well... the headmaster will be proud..." She trailed off, her heart beating faster with each passing second. She somewhat understood why everyone was scared of him. The intimidation factor was too much even though he wasn't being hostile.

'Yet.'

"You seem nervous." He said, making her somewhat relieved from his tone.

'No hostility... yet. Calm down Lucy... you got this.' She reassured herself with words of courage yet found herself more frightened in presence of a calmed version of Naruto on the contrary to the image of an extremely rude and ruthless one.

Levy's words were continuously ringing in her mind like warning bells. 'He is ruthless and doesn't care about consequences.'

"No one will play with me." Naruto replied. She wasn't expecting that. But then again, this made more sense. Who would want to be near someone like him? Certainly not her.

"Yeah, makes sense... I mean oh!"

...

'Way to go Lucy... you had a nice life ahead of you... and you ruined it.' She gulped.

"Thanks for coming."

She sighed in relief. 'That was close...'

"You asked for me…" She held the straps of her bag in a dynamic grip and was ready for any kind of hostile signal to ready herself for flight situation.

"Do you know, what hierarchy is?"

She definitely didn't expect him to ask that. What was it, language lessons?

The grip on her bag slightly loosened, her anxiety slowly calming down.

"Uh... I guess, sort of a ranking system in relative to social status, standing... I think." She was sure that was the right answer but didn't want to appear as cocky and know it all in front of him.

'Besides... he is the number one student. This kind of pisses me off.' She found herself glaring at him without realising it.

"Correct. In this school, we have different types of people. The ones at the top of the hierarchy, power aside, are people like you."

She furrowed her eyebrows. "What exactly are you getting at?"

"You are a model student, with high marks, good grades. Looks, social status because of your rich parents." He continued without sparing a careful eye on her growing annoyance with each word that left his mouth. "Guys lust after you, girls are envious of you. Teachers loves your punctuality."

"I get that, get to the point." She didn't care if he was some demon lord from another word, he was really getting into her nerves from the way he was defining her.

"My point is, you are the perfect person to help me." He explained.

She had no intention to help someone as rude and crude as him but she was curious from the revelation to say the least.

"How can I possibly help you? You are great at study, in fact you always top the charts... you are perhaps the strongest wizard among the students, at least rumours says that. I am nowhere near that strong. So, how exactly can I help you?"

"I can pay you if you help me." He added.

'Is this guy for real? Gosh, I so wish to kick the smug out of his face...'

"Do I look like I need your spare change? You did not answer what I asked." Lucy replied with a wave of anger.

...

'Wait wait wait... I am pushing my luck. We are far away from the teachers room... if anything happens... I am a goner.' She gulped.

"I am sorry… I... I shouldn't have said that."

"I didn't mind." Naruto took a few steps towards her causing her skin to shiver in fear but she remained firm on her feet, trying her best not to show her anxious self.

"Lucy look at me."

He was very calm. He came forward and soothingly stroked her shoulder.

"Yes?"

He remained silent for a brief moment. Then looked on his side as if searching for something. But she soon realised his antics implied his thoughtful nature which she mistook.

'He seems worried?'

She cleared her throat to break the awkward silence.

He let out a sigh.

"Okay I will tell you, but first you have to promise that you will neither laugh nor tell anyone about this." Naruto scratched the back of his neck, awkwardly averting his eyes away from her.

'He is definitely shy... kind of cute.' She noted but still kept her guards up.

"I will not."

'Besides, I love my life enough to want to see it through.' She told herself.

"Look there is this thing that I am struggling with and I want you to teach me … how to …"

"Dance." She offered.

"No …. How to …"

"Dress up." She mentioned.

Naruto took a much-needed breath to calm his nerves.

"No … how to…"

"Cook … you want me to teach you how to cook." She exclaimed with a vivacious voice.

"I need help to be more approachable."

...

'Huh?'

"Uh... what exactly do you mean?"

"Help me interact with other people at the academy. You know everyone is scared of me."

She nodded, more to herself than to him.

"I want this to be …. Changed. I don't want everyone to gossip around like I am a gangster or a serial killer... you know? I want to be normal." He explained.

"Hmmm..." She put up a thoughtful face, tapping her chin as she looked at him, as if trying to figure something out.

Naruto waited patiently for her to speak.

"I think I get what you are asking, but why exactly did you choose me?" She asked with curiosity.

"I explained that already. Hierarchy."

She shrugged. "But why not ask one of your hundreds of opposite sex partners. I am sure most have the skills to help you out."

She stopped herself. 'Eh? What am I even saying... didn't mean to say that...'

"You have it all wrong." He answered.

'Yeah right...' She rolled her eyes.

"Naruto, I think I kind of get it. You are targeting me as your next victim, aren't you?" She wanted to get out of the situation as fast as possible and it was best to be honest with him instead of leading him on. "I have no interest in sleeping with you. I am sure there are plenty of girls who would love that, but I am just not interested."

He looked down and shook his head. "You got this all wrong. I am not like that."

"Naruto, don't bother lying to me. I am honestly not interested in you."

Sigh...

"I guess if you don't trust me, it can't be help. Thanks for your time." He spoke and started to walk out of the court.

...

'Huh... just like that?' She was confused. When she heard the door click, she quickly turned around and called him out.

"Wait! Um... I am sorry." She spoke. "I should let you explain yourself... so..."

He closed the door and walked back to her and nodded.

"I don't know what you heard about me but I can assure you, I am not trying to seduce you."

'No filter in mouth...' She sweat dropped.

"I heard you sleep around with different girls every day and ditch them afterwards." She said with a growing annoyance. "If that is the case, shouldn't you already have some 'dos and don'ts' already figured out?"

Naruto looked away, scratching the back of his hair. She noted this to be a recurring antic from him.

"I have never done anything like that with a girl before... it's all wrong."

Lucy didn't want to believe him but something made her feel that he wasn't lying. She gave him a chance to explain himself and stayed quiet.

"I think some of the students use that rumour to use to their advantage. I may be wrong, but I don't see any other possible reason." He explained.

'That does make sense... but I wonder how much of it is true.' She sighed and decided to agree with him for the time being.

"What if I say no, and don't help you." She spoke firmly. "Will you beat me up?"

"I am sure you already know the answer." He answered with a shrug. "You can say no right now and leave, I will never approach you and this discussion can end here. I can assure you that much."

...

Lucy dropped her head and exhaled.

'You should give him a chance. Maybe he really isn't what others believe.' Her inner voice gave her permission.

"I don't trust you completely." She could see his face slightly falter. "But I don't want to regret it either if you genuinely need help."

His eyes briefly widened before a smile plastered his face.

She gasped.

'I guess throughout all my fear, I completely missed the fact that.' She inwardly squealed. 'Isn't he freaking cute? Those whiskers... I want to touch them...'

Then a idea popped in her head and a mischievous smirk followed it.

"Hey Naruto, about the payment." She grinned.

"Oh, but you don't want money." He spoke.

She shook her head. "How about you let me touch your whiskers, I wonder how they feel."

...

"Joking." She laughed watching him stare at her with eyes wide open and his lips parted in a soft gasp.

'My first impression of him, Cute.'

"You want to exchange number?" She asked as she tapped on her wrist, a small holographic screen followed her tap, levitating just above her wrist.

"I have already added my number in your system." He explained.

She raised her eyebrows until she could see his name pop on the screen.

"Wait, how? Huh?" She asked, dumbfounded.

"It's simple, I cracked the entire server in this school."

...

'My first impression of him, unbelievable!'

(Scene Change – Next Day)

As usual, she stood near the lockers, putting her extra books inside when Levy confronted her for the third time in a row.

"How can you agree to help him? Have I not told you enough about him?" It was unbelievable for her to accept that her friend just made the biggest mistake of her academic career. No, her entire life!

"Levy, he is not like you think... I hope..." Lucy closed her locker as she revealed herself on with.

She was wearing yet another of her short white dress that reached her mid-thigh and a pair of her thigh-high white boots. Her hair was styled into a high ponytail wrapped in a blue bow with her bangs free to frame her face. Levy couldn't help but worry about her dress code, considering a serial womanizer was on the run! After her!

"And what if he is? I am telling you, there is no one stronger than him in this Academy... nor any law against him. He could seriously harm you and get away with it."

"Levy please, I am capable of protecting myself." She huffed, crossing her arms under her breasts. If circumstances were different, Levy would feel extremely jealous over her breasts but she had more in mind to pay attention to her finer attributes.

"Not in front of Naruto." Levy stated the truth.

Lucy looked down with a sigh. She actually gave it some thought before proceeding. She understood her worries but at the same time...

"And what if he is innocent as he says he is? I will regret it if I don't help him."

"Ohh lucy." Levy gave her a tight hug. "I didn't want to make you regretful. I am just worried about you. Just keep yourself safe okay? And don't fall for his tricks. I am saying again, this boy is dangerous. But rest is your decision to make."

Lucy hugged her back with a nod. Her words did make her worry about the possibility. But she was too deep to back down now.

As she entered her classroom, she noticed the usual gazes of lust from boys and much to her worries, girls. But something was different today, she couldn't quite put her finger in it.

As she made her way towards her seat, she could hear the usual fan girls fawning over Sasuke Uchiha.

'Sigh... I feel sorry for him.'

The bell rang promptly as students began to settle on their respective tables. The sound of pages being flipped and the clicking of pen echoed through the large hall as the urgency to not be scolded by their first lecturer took over.

All first-years are mandated to take seven core subjects in order to progress to second year.

Transfiguration, Potions, History, Mathematics, Control, Defence Magic, Summoning.

Through these core subjects, most students discovers their true potentials and aim to progress them further through the five year Academy life at Peace Academy.

The subjects were spread across a five day week basis with three subjects being focussed on each week.

"Announcement for Year 1 students, Transfiguration class, instructed by Ren Sensei, has been cancelled. Students are expected to self study until the next class. Also, please don't be a dumbass and break rules. Thanks."

Some groans from the top students could be heard while the bottom tier ones cheered with excitement. Lucy didn't know whether she should cheer or groan. While she didn't mind attending lecture, she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy some free time.

She looked at the empty seat on the far end of the hall and sighed.

'I should look for him. Since I am a nice person, and cute, and a queen.' She managed to go unnoticed by others and exited the class slowly.

She decided to look for him near the boys dorm room but her search quickly ended when she noticed the person he was looking for.

"Naruto!" She called out but got no response as he entered through a large door before closing it with a thud.

'What's he doing inside the headmasters office... isn't there supposed to be a teachers meeting?'

...

'Annoying... I guess I will just go back to class and daydream about something...' She took heavy strides back towards the noisy classroom. "I want to eat pancakes..."

(Scene Change)

A long wooden table separated the teachers of the Academy, as they sat on large wooden chairs, face serious on some while bored on others.

Tsunade Senju, the headmaster of the Academy looked extremely pissed as she eyed two empty chairs on the other side of the long table.

"Those two brats..."

The door soon opened as Naruto stepped in, earning the attention of the teachers as he proceeded to take one of the two empty chairs.

"Yo." He greeted.

A tick mark appeared on her forehead but she tried her best to not lash out during the meeting.

A silver haired man laughed and gestured a quick hello with his hand raised up. He wore a mask that hid half of his face, while the other half was hidden behind the book that took all his attention.

"Where is the other kid?" Tsunade asked him.

"Tsunade-sama, please. I am almost 26, just short by a week."

The atmosphere dropped in the room as everyone seemed to have stiffened at the presence of the final member of the meeting. An eerie feeling lurked from his presence which some of the teachers found uncomfortable.

Naruto looked behind him and smiled.

"Yo, Gojo Satoro sensei."

"Oh hello there, Naruto."

Name: Gojo Satoro

Age: 25

Likes:

Dislikes:

Magic: Infinity.

"Before we begin the meeting, I just want to know something." An elder man spoke as he raised his arms.

"What is it, Sullivan?"

Name: Sullivan

Age: ?

Likes: His grandson

Dislikes: ?

Magic: ?

Sullivan was a very tall and imposing figure with a bald head, two large horns, pointed ears and a white mustache.

He fixed the pair of glasses that sits on top of his nose as he looked at Gojo.

"We demons don't like to be associated with Domain users, I am sure you are well aware of that." He announced.

"Well-"

"This Academy has no place for racism, I am sure someone of your age should already know the history." Naruto interjected Tsunade, much to her annoyance but she was somewhat relieved for not being the one to discipline one of the older teachers.

"It should be obvious from our Academy name, Peace Academy, a central point that reunites all the clans whether human or demon." Naruto shrugged.

"Watch your mouth kid..."

"Or else what?" Naruto smiled at the older man. "None of you in this room can do a thing against me."

"Watch your mouth Naruto." Tsunade warned before things escalated further.

"Naruto-kun, is this a challenge I hear?" Gojo smiled while holding his skull tightly under his grip.

"It hurts..."

Tsunade sighed. Most of the teachers looked at Naruto and Gojo angrily while the two had no care whatsoever about the rest.

'I hate my job...' She groaned before motioning her assistant Shizune to give the briefing of the meeting.

"We have three main things to discuss today, and one S tier. 1) About the upcoming student festival in two months time, 2) Teachers and Parents meeting the week following. 3) End of Year assessment." Shizune read through the holographic display that popped in front of everyone.

"S tier... an all out attack on the Academy on the night of the school festival."

...

(Scene Change)

The noise of the classroom exceeded her expectation. Lucy sat on her chair trying her best to focus on the book that laid in front of her.

"Oi Luigi, come fight me."

...

"Shut up Natsu!"

"HUH? YOU GOT A PROPBLEM YOU STRIPPER?!"

...

The chaos just jumped tenfold once Natsu Dragneel and his rival Gray Fullbuster began to fight like mindless kids.

Lucy didn't know when the chaos turned into two groups cheering their favourite out of the two as if it was some battle of coliseum.

'Everything sucks...'

She blinked. The next second she was in the basketball room, standing in front of Naruto.

"Yo."

...

"H-how am I here?" She asked.

"Hmm, teleportation? The class won't start for at least three more hours, so-"

"Stop doing that without my permission!" She was mad. She didn't know whether it was just the frustration of all the noises that made her have a headache or just the fact that she hated being dragged here without her permission.

"I... am sorry." He looked down with an apologetic face.

...

She greeted her teeth but calmed down after taking a deep breath.

"No its okay... I am sorry for lashing out, I just have a headache." She explained.

"Headache?" He walked to her and grinned.

"I can get rid of it. Want me to?"

"Don't even ask. Please!" She gasped as the next moment her headache was gone.

"Wow... are you a magician?" She felt extremely light headed.

"We all are." He shrugged. "It's just a potion, you will learn it this year after midterm."

She didn't bother asking how he knew it already. He was a mysterious guy and she didn't want to pry too much.

"I guess... so, since we are here. Shall we begin our very first official lesson?"

He nodded and flashed a smile.

'That smile again... cute but... it somewhat seems forced.' She decided not to question it and just proceeded with her words.

"First we need to learn about your strengths and weaknesses before you become more... civilised." She began.

"I have no weakness."

"Everyone has weaknesses." She dismissed any sort of refutation by motioning him to keep silent and a glare was enough to make him stop.

"You see, I have always had a cute face. Guys would always approach me and such. Uh, some girls too... anyways! The point is, people are superficial, they will want to be with you if you are hot, pretty, handsome, and such." She cleared her throat, feeling an odd sense of pride watching him pay attention to her as if she was his superior.

'Well, technically I am his sensei right now.'

"So, you should already understand why they are using your name to spread rumour and such." She slightly blushed out of embarrassment, it was the first time she was openly complimenting a guy of her age.

"Since you are h-handsome and such."

Naruto pondered over her words briefly, the anticipation made her gulp in response. While she was not the type to be nervous when talking to people, for some reason she found it extremely difficult to talk to him, specially when he was silent and thinking.

"I see, I thought it was because of my powers. So you telling me, I am handsome?" He asked with curious eyes. A tick mark appeared on her forehead in annoyance.

'Is he trying to make me repeat that?'

"Anyways... so, the point is, you already have what it takes to make people like... wait a second." She looked at him suspiciously. "Answer this honestly, are you learning how to be approachable because of a girl you like? Who is it?" She clasped her hand with excitement, eyes beaming with the potential role of a match maker being presented at her doorsteps.

"No."

...

Her head fell in defeat. "What was I even expecting from you..."

Naruto shrugged.

"Anyways! As I was saying, it should be a piece of cake for you to make people to approach you, the only thing we need to work on is your communication skills and teach you how to not be an asshole to people." She concluded.

"I am not an asshole..."

"Sure." She groaned. "However, before you learn how to use your strong points to your advantage, you have to understand the weaknesses those points have." She pointed her finger at him as she continued.

"Here's a quiz, tell me, what could be a weakness of having a cute face?" She asked.

Naruto pondered over it briefly before shaking his head.

"Let me give you a clue, when I was in junior high abroad, my shoelaces used to go missing. I had to bring spare shoe laces on my pocket due to that. Why were they missing?"

"Someone stole it?" He asked.

She rolled her eyes. 'No shit...'

"Yes, by other students, specially girls. Any idea why?"

He nodded. "They didn't like you."

...

'He is clearly being annoying...'

"Sigh... yes and the reason is simple, jealousy." She explained.

"Makes sense. I will just buy shoes without laces."

...

"Lets just continue the lesson next time... I have to practice some magic before next class..." She groaned, thinking about her next teacher's strict teachings. She didn't like being picked upon... but somehow he had the impression that she was some prodigy.

"Practice? What?" Naruto questioned.

She lazily took out her magic wand out of thin air as she proceed to explain.

"Astral Fire." She chanted while pointing the wand in thin air, a small fire ball popped at the tip. She moved the wand from the initial position as the fire ball remained floated. "Umbral Ice." This time a spiky ice ball popped into existence.

"This, this." She pointed at the two floating magic balls, glaring at him while she expressed her own annoyance. "I can only produce these... but our homework is to somehow combine two elements and produce a new one. I just can't..." She finished as she motioned the fire ball and the ice ball to combine together, only for them to pop into steam and water.

"Like this?" Naruto pointed his finger as a fire ball and ice ball popped at the tip of his finger at the same time while perfectly combining them into separate properties in harmony.

She deadpanned. "Don't even need a wand?"

Naruto shrugged as he dispelled the magic as it popped into nothingness.

"It's not about if I need one or not. I simply never used one."

She rolled her eyes. "Show off..."

"Lucy."

"What?" She asked with a puffed cheek.

"About the payment for helping me... um... how about I help you with your school work in exchange?" He offered with a slight shyness to his voice that didn't go unnoticed by her.

She pondered over it briefly. If the top student helped her study, she would almost have no issue in class. But then there was the lingering thought of him having some ulterior motives with her...

'Well, I have already committed to help him, might as well gain something out of it.' She nodded with a smile. "Then can you teach me how to make this combination spell?"

Naruto nodded. "The key to combination spell is Maths and Science."

...

"Maths and... science?" She wasn't too sure if he was joking or being serious.

"Yes, come with me. Let me show you something."

"W-Where?"

"I will introduce you to my friend. He is the best person to explain this. His name is, Senku Ishigami."
