Darkness. Not like when the lights are out or when your eyes are closed, I'm talking REAL darkness. No light, nothing at all. How did I end up in this unending darkness you may wonder? No? well too bad I have nothing better to do so STORY TIME!
There I was, getting ready for school. The world was at peace, the sky was blue and clear, and I had a bright future ahead of me. Sounds great right? Well, it was…
Until I decided to cross the street without double checking. Look both ways twice, I ALWAYS checked twice. But today I decided a mere passing glance in either direction was enough. But Lo and behold, as I'm in the center of the crosswalk, minding my own business…. BAM! A god damn box truck decides to play bumper cars with a teenager.
I don't care what anybody says, dying is painful. Even when it happens quick, it SUCKS.
As I floated through the void unable to feel any sensation, reminiscing about my death to what may have been either a drunk driver or a complete moron, I suddenly found myself feeling all too much. My body was back, I was in a toga for some reason, and everything was BRIGHT white.
Oh, and there was a massive golden fox sitting behind a desk.
"Um…" I mustered, trying to work my jaw after god knows how long I had been drifting in that void. "Hi?"
"Oh, your alive. Well, not alive but… you know yeah?" the fox spoke very slowly, like it had to think over each word before it spoke. "My names, like… Brian, or whatever…"
I tried to find humor in the strangely normal name the creature held, but I was still very confused. "is this heaven?" I scratched my head as I took in my surroundings, but everything was rather plain except for the desk the fox sat behind.
"Yeah yeah, like, whatever." That voice was QUICKLY becoming an annoyance as he seemed to speak even slower. "You have been selected, for a program, to go to an alternate world. or whatever."
I blinked before laughing hysterically. "Oh my god. I got killed by fucking Isekai Truck-Kun!"
The creature giggled himself for a moment before elaborating. "yeah yeah, people who got hit by truck call it that now. Big joke up here or whatever." He shook his head and pointed at me. "Anywho, you will get like, three bonuses and then be sent off to a ah…." He placed some glasses on his muzzle then looked at a strange tablet on his desk. "A SS ranked world." I must have looked pretty nervous because he waved his hand in a calming gesture. "Do not worry, its like, not that big a deal. Or, whatever."
"okay." I breathed deeply. "Are you going to explain what ANY of that means?"
The fox groaned in annoyance. "Like, I have other things to do today." I sighed but waved for him to continue. Guess even heaven had lazy people. "So, pick, like, a power. Youll take it to the new world."
"A power? Now that was interesting" I thought to myself. But I knew EXACTLY what I would want in some… 'SS ranked' world. id want to be OP! so that meant….
"Ill take The Gamer power Please!"
The fox sighed. "oh yes, how original, you are so very special. Or, whatever." I flipped him off as he scrolled to a new page. "Now, pick a companion. It can be any sort of creature or spirit or whatever."
I sighed. This thing wasn't going to bother giving me time to think about this was he? From his annoyed finger tapping I would assume not. So, I thought quickly. A good companion? "How about a little demon or something?"
"m'kay." He spoke, typing something in and swiping to the next page.
"Wait I was just thinking out loud I didn't actually mean some random little-" an agitated groan cut me off. Clearly, I was not winning that argument.
"Now, choose a weapon. As a gamer you'll get plenty of those so I recommend, like, a REALLY strong one." I muttered a certain rude profanity as I considered that.
What weapon was strong enough to warrant taking to another world? id need something cheat worthy…. It was then I recalled a cute little gun from supernatural. "The equalizer." I said in a smooth tone.
"Sorry, that particular weapon is not possible, as it violates the laws of space time, or whatever."
I muttered and crossed my arms. "okay… what about… does it have to be a physical weapon?"
The fox groaned and rubbed his temples. "Look if it will like, make you leave faster, then you can take a spell or, whatever."
With a grin on my face I knew what I wanted. "The Rho Aias, from Fate stay night." The gamer power would give me all the power I would ever need, so instead of a weapon I would bring a shield!"
'Brian' typed in a few more things than waved his hand through the air. "okay so, your like, representing me down there, or whatever. So don't screw up mkay?"
"Down where?" I muttered. "And what am I even supposed to do?"
before I even had time to think, I was suddenly experiencing the absolute hell of falling, then I suddenly felt my feet hit the floor. I attributed the fact that I was still standing after a fall like that to whatever magical shit that fox had been using on me was, but there were more important matters at hand then my location. I stood in what seemed to be a communal bathroom, and in front of me was a full-sized mirror. The concerning thing, was the lack of reflection.

'okay.' I thought to myself as a blue box full text appeared in front of me. 'elemental nations huh?' I scratched my cheek. "Uh… game? Where is this world in relation to cannon Naruto? Can I ask you questions or am I talking to myself?" I muttered the last part as I waited, hoping I would receive an answer. Luckily, I did not wait for long.

I looked over the skills and perks carefully. I really wanted the Senju's wood style, but that last one… my curiosity demanded answers damnit, and I needed to know why that name was hidden! Also, starting off with what looked like a free pass from Danzo was probably the best thing I could possibly ask for.

An affirmative nod and a clap of my hands latter, suddenly a person appeared in the mirror before me. A young girl with black eyes and… white hair.
I prayed I haven't ended up the child of Jiraya. Much as I loved the character, he was NOT good parent material.
Seeing some clothes on a bench next to me I through them on. A t-shirt and pants that my as well have been potato sacks. They weren't uncomfortable though, just very cheap. "Alright game." I spoke out loud, seeing as I was alone at the moment. "Status"

Well… great. Orphan. Curse my curiosity! And I had 100 CNT… what the hell was CNT? As that thought passed through my mind another screen popped up.
Stat Tutorial
VIT- This stat dictates your HP [health points], as well as your elemental and poison resistances.
STR- This stat dictates your inventory space, melee damage, physical strength, and physical resistance.
DEX- This stat dictates your speed, flexibility, and skill with melee weapons and throwing weapons.
INT- This stat dictates CP [chakra points], the power of elemental attacks, genjutsu effectiveness.
WIS- This stat dictates ninjutsu power, ninjutsu casting speed, and chakra body enhancement.
CNT- This stat dictates Chakra control, Jutsu hand seal requirements, and all jutsu cost.[this stat cannot be leveled past level 100]
LUK- This stat dictates item drop rate, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.
Stats other than CNT have no level cap.
I felt giddy as I read over what CNT did for me. The ONLY stat that had a max level and I had it maxed? My base stats were ABISMAL… but I could work with this.
Looking through the screen I found a list of my 'titles', and given that I only had one I decided to inspect it.

Passive-[Heros Legacy]- Lightning Jutsu Cost -50%, lightning jutsu are 2x as effective, lightning based techniques gain unique physical appearance.
I blinked. That was PASSIVE?! Meaning, based on what I was reading, I would have access to that skill even when I had other titles equipped? And lightning? White hair? Was I Kakashi's bastard or something?
My mad laughter must have been a little too loud, because suddenly an older woman appeared in the doorway. "Takara dear." A sweet voice rang through the large room. "Is everything, all right? Your late for Lunch."
As I gazed at the woman suddenly a memory came to the forefront of my mind. Must be one of those 'past' memories the game had mentioned.
"Sorry Mama rose. Ill be there soon." It was strange experiencing a memory that was not truly my own. But this woman, Mama rose, was the woman who raised me. Me and the other orphans who lived here.
Speaking of, guess where I had been dropped in the new world! the Konoha little leaf orphanage!

Seeing as I had nothing better to do, I got moving. Strolling through the hall of the orphanage I easily found the dining hall as if I had lived in this building my whole life…. Which I guess I technically had…
Grabbing a bowl of stew I sat down at a table with some of the other kids my age. None of them seemed all to interested in me, which I was glad for. I dident need a bunch of kids to talk to when I had so much work to do! Looking around the room, I also noticed something concerning.
No Naruto.
From my memory's I knew that in this world, all orphans got their own apartments and living grants when they started taking the Shinobi classes for school. The only problem was me and Naruto should start at the same time, so if I was still here…
That meant Naruto might very well have been kicked out onto the street.
EMERGANCY QUEST
Investigate Naruto Uzumaki's wellbeing.

I felt antsy. I distinctly remembered seeing Naruto in my new memories, but the 'me' that existed in this world must have avoided him like the other kids, because my memorys of him were vague. But the good news? As one of the older kids I could leave the Orphanage walls as long as I returned by 8 PM.
20 minutes in the world of Naruto and I had my first goal.
Step 1, do the dishes.
Step 2, find an adorable blond devil child and earn immunity from his pranks.
Step 3, yell at the Hokage for not keeping proper track of his 'grandson'.
Something told me step 3 was a bad idea, but hell the old man deserved worse. And whatever respect I had for 'Mama Rose' was dead and gone, since she's the one who probably kicked the kid out.
I mean, I get it. 9 tails stepped on your loved ones or whatever. Bad excuse for child abuse.
As I looked down at the bowl in front of me, I noticed a little text bubble next to the bowl.
EAT
Curious, I clicked the button-
And the food was gone.
"Wow Takara, how the heck did you eat that so fast?!" I boy, Yuma I think his name was, blinked rapidly at my now spotless bowl.
"Mind ya business." I waved my hand dismissively. Getting up, I walked over to 'Mama Rose' and cleared my throat to get her attention. "Hey mama, do you need any help with the dishes?"
The woman looked a little surprised at the question, but a warm smile covered the confusion in seconds. "Oh that would be lovely dear. Please feel free."
Nodding in confirmation I stopped just as I was about to walk away. "Oh and Mama, is it okay if I head out of a bit after I'm done?"
The old woman gave a knowing smirk and wagged her finger at me. "Alright, but be home before dark, and if it starts to get dark while your out don't be afraid to ask one of the nice ninjas to walk you home."
I nodded and spun around towards the kitchen. Pushing through the doorway I went straight to the small pile of pots and utensils. Luckly for me it was a relatively small load. I used to work in a kitchen… in my old life. I knew how to do dishes. Unfortunately for me I dident have some instant button for dishes like I did for eating… oh well.
Grabbing a sponge and filling an empty sink with soapy water I began scrubbing the dishes. There was no dish washer so I made sure to make them spotless. After only about twenty minutes everything was done. Spoons, pots, pans, all dry and stacked on the counter.
Sadly, No EXP for the act itself. It was a bummer because I had somewhat hoped to get some free EXP from chores, but at least my quest was finished!

Well now I knew why this stat had a max level. You couldn't really havemore than 100%chakra control after all.
A few of the orphans looked very confused as I laughed like a maniac on my way out the door. I dident care though. I SO needed to unlock my Chakra, because I needed to see just how broken my perfect control was.
Stepping outside I took in my surroundings. The hokage monument was easily visible, since the orphanage was just down the street. And the Academy was right under it, along with the hokage tower. That brought me too my current mission. 'Assigning my stat points can wait till later.' I thought while making my way towards the tower. I had no idea how to find Naruto in the village, since my 'past self' had not ventured out often enough to know the village. Therefor my best chance of finishing this quest?
I was gonna have a chat with the old man.
It did not take long before I reached the tower, and I was not stopped at the door. I was sure there had to be guards, but either I wasn't deemed a threat, or they wanted to see what I was going to do. It dident matter to me though, as I entered the main hall a secretary looking woman approached me with a kind smile. "Hello there sweety." Her voice was sickly sweet, a heavy amount of condescendence hung in her tone. "Are you lost?" mentally, I called out 'observe' hopeing to test that ability out, but all I got was a big line of question marks. Of COURSE, the hokage's secretary was probably some kind of ninja, way too high level for me to get a read on.
Putting on my best serious face, which was rather hard for a 9 year old, I looked her in the eyes and shook my head. "Ma'am, I need to speak to lord Hokage right away."
The woman dident skip a beat messing up my hair with a laugh. "Oh dear well I'm afraid he's a very busy man, but maybe you can have a little chat with me huh?"
Damn I hate people like this. I had no idea how strong this woman was, but I hoped that my [charm] title would be enough to bullshit past her. "Oh well actually I have some news about a new book I was supposed to give him from this weird old guy with hair like mine? Icha icha or something?"
The woman narrowed her eyes and leaned close, but after a moment she sighs, and grumbled something about perverted old men. "alright ill call him down, but if he dosent have time you're leaving straight away. Understand?"
I nodded in confirmation, letting the tension leave my body as I seemingly succeeded in my ruse. Thank god Jiraya wasn't actually here or that would have been AKWARD.
The woman walked over to her desk and mumbled something into an intercom system… and in moments the Third Hokage was suddenly in the room, holding me by the shoulders. "YOU! Jiraya sent you? Whats the news on the new book! don't keep me waiting woman!"
A bead of sweat dripped down my head at the sight of the legendary "Professor" begging for information on his student's newest smut novel. "Actually, That was a lie to get you down here… sorry."
Blinking for a moment, the old man stood up and composed himself. "Hm well that was very rude young lady, but its very impressive that you were able to exploit information. Some Ninja struggle with that you know?" he ruffled my hair with a smile. "You are from the Little leaf Orphanage aren't you? Are you Planning to join the Shinobi program?"
I smiled and nodded to the old man. "Yes I am. My name is Takara lord Hokage" I withdrew my smile and reapplied my serious face though, as I took a deep breath. "But im actually here about one of the other Orphans."
"oh?" the old man took out a smoking pipe, I'm not entirely sure WHERE he got it but there it was. "and why would that be."
"well." I began. "It's a boy named Naruto. I haven't seen him in a few weeks and im worried he my have gotten lost somewhere." I dident so much sense them, but I could tell that a number of ninja had suddenly appeared in the room. were they in the ceiling? Made sense I suppose, it was a good a place as any to hide while protecting their Kage.
"A few weeks you said." The old man's voice still had a kindly tone to it, but even my untrained eyes could SEE the tension in his body. "strange, Madam Rose never mentioned a missing child." With those words the ninja I had felt before appeared in the room, 3 ANBU. The hokage nodded to them, and without a sound they were gone. "Takara was it? You were right to come to me with this, we will find your friend soon, don't you worry about a thing. Now why don't we get you home hmm?"
Placing a hand on my shoulder the old Kage led my back outside towards the Orphanage, but as we reached the building, we kept walking. "Lord Hokage." I asked. The Orphanage is back there-"
The old man waved his hand dismissively. "Well normally we do this a week before school begins, but since you've done me a big favor today." the Hokage stopped talking and motioned forward as we came to a stop. In front of us was the housing used for orphans who attended the academy. I remembered it from the new memories swirling around the back of my brain.

"I don't know what to say." I muttered. "All I did was report a missing person…"
The Hokage smiled down at me warmly. "You may not know it, but you have done a very big favor for me today young Takara. In fact I have another gift for you."
An Anbu wearing a dog mask appeared next to us and gave a short bow. "Lord Hokage, the boy has been recovered. Weasle is taking care of him."
"Very good hound." The old man turned serious. "What is the status of young Naruto?"
The ANBU shook his head. "The boy is malnourished and tired, but he will be fine. They found him living in an alley behind the red district."
For a brief moment I felt like I had not air, and the ground was falling out from under me.
WARRNING- Powerful killing intent detected.
The feeling was gone in an instant, but I was sure it had come from the Hokage. He was PISSED. "Very good. Inform Madam Rose I will be speaking to her momentarily."
I almost felt bad, Rose had been half decent at raising the kids. But she also turned all of them into Naruto haters and kicked an Orphan out onto the street so… yeah get wrecked.
"Young Takara, this man will show you to your apartment. I look forward to seeing what kind of shinobi you will become." With that comment and a soft smile, the old man disappeared.
"Come on then." The ANBU placed a hand on my shoulder. "Lets get you settled."
The apartment he let me into was exactly like Naruto's from the show. Minus the mess of course. "Now then." The ANBU crossed his arms over his chest. "Someone will be by once a week to give you groceries, and you will be given a stipend once a month for cloths and extra expenses. They should be here tomorrow morning."
I nodded in understanding. I wanted to ask a few questions, but I also really wanted to test out my new power. Something told me that would be a bad idea with a ninja around.
"Also, Lord Hokage wanted to give you something, as a reward for your help." I blinked in surprise as he tossed me a small scrap of paper. Before I even got a chance to look at it, he vanished in a cloud of smoak.
"Yeah just leave the child alone in an apartment. Very responsible." I grumbled as I took a peek at the paper in my hand. The contents of the paper weren't too surprising, but I was still shocked that I had been given this, especially after one encounter with the hokage. On the scroll were two simple words.

There weren't many things that could slip past the watchful eyes of Danzo Shimura, especially within the walls of Konoha. So when an ANBU informed him that not only had the nine tails Jinchuriki been kicked out of the safety of the orphanage, but that he had been living on the streets for over a MONTH!?
There were not many things that could slip past Danzo Shimura, to have missed such a potentially dangerous situation?
He was. Not. Happy.
Despite that though, his face held a rare smile as he examined the dog shaped ANBU mask he had just been handed. "Well hound, I can't say I'm surprised. I won't stop you, but are you sure I cant convince you to remain in the ANBU just a little longer?"
A huff echoed through the underground room as its other occupant crossed his arms. "Forgive me, Danzo-Sama, but given the current situation, I believe my talents are of greater use within the ranks of the village Jonin from now on."
Danzo nodded his head and dropped the mask onto his desk. "Very well then. I hereby release you from your duty's within the ANBU black ops. Report to Jonin commander Shikaku for your new orders Jonin Hatake."
The white-haired ninja gave a half bow and turned to leave the room, but just before he cleared the doorway Danzo's voice rose up again. "Oh and Kakashi, do keep an eye on the girl. She is your sibling after all."
This was a prototype fic I found in an older file, and decided to touch up. I may continue it if it gets some traction, but for now I think ill just make it short.
