Metting the Family

Carina meeting Maya's family had never really come up. Well at least her meeting her fire family hadn't; as Maya had zero intentions of Carina ever meeting her biological family; as she strongly believed that if she did it would be the end of the best thing in her life (no matter how many times carina tried to tell her otherwise).

Carina had seen them in passing but she'd never met them and by this point in the relationship, it was starting to get ridiculous.

Also Maya fire family was starting to think she was making up her super hot Italian girlfriend. As they all heard the many stories of Carina her fantastic OBGYN girlfriend but never had the pleasure of acutely meeting the brunette.

"Bambina when am I to met this family of yours. You tell me all about how they see your back and story about them but I have no face for the names."

Maya just stood there shocked not knowing what to say. They been together for quite some time, surely her girlfriend had to have met her team by now. But thinking about it now with everything that had happened at the start of their relationship and then covid there hadn't been much time for a official introduction.

"watch my back" "ah Si" as Maya corrected her, she made her way round the kitchen to stand behind her girlfriend while she made what she deemed was the perfect carbonara. And if carina deemed it so it had to be true as who was she to argue with the Italian.

Resting her head on her shoulder and her arms round her waist and just feeling content in the moment of being together.

As Carina leaned back into Maya always being amazed at how far Maya had come within her self. She still doubted herself and was still insecure around the relationship but Carina would show her for the rest of her life if that's what it took, showing her that she is loved and is lovable.

But thinking about this only got Carina furious for her girlfriend which only felt these emotions thanks to the person that was meant to make her feel safe, loved and protected from the world.

"and second I didn't realize that you hadn't met them yet. I just sort of assumed that you kinda met them somewhere along the way".

Maya said snapping Carina out of whatever she was thinking. As Maya started to kiss the back of her neck completely unaware where her girlfriend was going with this or the thoughts that was only just coursing through her head.

"is it not time I met them Bella, do you not think"? Carina asked as she turned around in her girlfriend arms as to be able to see her when having this conversation. Knowing it could go one of two ways.

But so far her Maya hadn't shut off in fact just the opposite, still having that peaceful smile on her face that she loved so much, just thinking about what to say next.

"well would you want to met them and who do you wanna met"? She asked while still just looking at Carina. Trying to figure out at times how not to ruin this relationship, which she had nearly done awhile ago. Also knowing this could be a decisive question.:

Maya had walked out on Carina well run out would be more accurate but either way words were said and Carina pushed her too far and now Maya is running., running like her life depended on it. That is until she ended up at the fire station more accurately the station gym but try as she might to exhaust herself with exercise and no matter how tired her body felt; she couldn't get Carina's words out of her head. If her father had abused her she would know wouldn't she.

"hey" Jack said interrupting the long train of thought that she had been having for the last two hours since leaving her apartment. "hey" trying to ignore this presence focusing on trying to get the anger she still felt at Carina out of her system.

"whats wrong with you, you look pissed and isn't it your day off?" Jack said as he just stood in the doorway watching as she exercised. "Is there something you want Jack or are you just trying to piss me off more?" Maya said as she started to pack away knowing now that he wasn't going to leave her alone and was probably just gonna make it worst for.

"So you are pissed off, what's wrong has your imaginary girlfriend dumped you?" "fuck off Jack" Maya said as she picked up the few things she actually remembered to bring with her. "hey don't blame me for your mistakes. But hey I'm here to make it better for you though?" Jack said as he took the few steps to stand right in front of her and before Maya could see the look in his eyes. Jack's lips were on hers kissing her and she was kissing back not thinking about what was happening, but just thinking about hurting Carina.

Wait Carina the woman she loved even if she hadn't said it yet she still did and this just didn't feel right, the kiss was wrong the lips were too ruff, with it being harsher than normal, it was normal soft and gentle she had to stop this.

Maya quickly pushed Jack away stepping back from him as he took another step forward putting her hands on his chest to stop him coming forward anymore. "Arh come on Maya you know you want it come on just forget with me and have some fun". Jack said as he moved in again for another kiss. Maya quickly side stepped Jack and making her way out of the gym "no Jack that's never happening again, I don't want you anymore" Jack look stunned before quickly responding "whatever Maya come see me when you get bored, you know you will eventually".

Maya wasn't listening anymore, more interested in getting the hell out of there as quickly as possible and as far away from what could have been the worst mistake of her life, Hell it still could be. God now she was even more pissed off than ever.

She ended up at Joe's if you asked her, she couldn't tell you how she ended up there or how many drinks she had but what Maya could tell you she was royally pissed by the time Carina was standing over her. Looking as gorgeous as ever with that disapproving look aimed at her which she wears very rarely when looking at Maya.

"what are you doing here?" Maya drunkenly stumbled out while trying to order another pint. "Why can't I get another drink?" Maya said as she put her head on the table "you called me and drunkenly told me everything and I'm so pissed at you but we can have that argument tomorrow when you can actually remember the argument". Carina said as she started to get Maya moving out of the bar wishing she hadn't pushed her so much earlier knowing that this wasn't her fault but still somewhat blaming herself.

"I wanted to hurt you butttt it was just wrong he wasn't you. Hessss no the person I live no love. I love you even if you are wrong about my dad". Carina didn't know what to say about any of this so just kept her arm wrapped around Maya waist as she got her into the passenger side of the car putting a bowl in her lap, that she grabbed when she called her breaking her heart but also knowing she couldn't just leave her at the bar alone that drunk.

"If you throw do it in the buck and we will argue this out tomorrow". Knowing full well that anything that was said or done right now would just be forgotten, so what was the point in wasting her time and energy on it right now. Maya just nodded putting her head on the window and falling straight to sleep.

Carina drove them back to Maya's apartment. Wondered the whole drive what was going to happen next.

"So does that mean you want to met Jack or do you want to just keep cursing his name until your sure he's not going to make another pass at me?"

Maya ask while knowing that her girlfriend now believe that it mean nothing and that Maya had not done anything to encourage it.

Carina worried for along time that she didn't discourage it either and that she secretly enjoyed the attention she received from Jack.

Having argued about it for hours the next day after Maya had sobered up enough to shout at. They talked, shouted then argued till it got to much that they screamed I love you at each other and ended up spending the next several hours in bed with one another.

After all the emotions were finally out they could actually talk to one another calmly. Making up new rules for each other and just talking till they both fell asleep, both having to be in work early the next day but knowing this meant they likely wouldn't see each for the next two days they didn't want to leave things unsaid and left to fester. This made for two very grumpy but happy women the next day as they might have talk abit too late into the night.

"Si I want to met them all. That included Jack he is part of your team and the man that thinks he has a chance still. Which he never will". Carina finished as she leaned down to capture Maya's lips in a passion filled kiss. In that moment Maya was sure that the entire world stopped and there was nothing else besides Carina lips on her, the way in which her body seemed to mold to her as her hands run through Maya's hair.

While Maya just holds onto Carina's waist tighter knowing that this was it for her and no matter what she wasn't going to break it.

Breaking the kiss Carina's leaned her head onto Maya's "so do you want to met they all in one go or one at a time?"
