The Princess and the Desert Rose
Prologue!
~~.~~
Zelda awoke to a sound, it was amused laughter and a male voice. Ghirahim must be playing with Mikael, she quickly realized and dressed before heading into the second room. The zora had kindly turned the larger dome into a multi-roomed house for her, Sana and Mikael to stay in. Well for all of them to stay in now that Ghirahim had somehow joined them, she sighed as she saw the two and paused as she realized Sana was not there.
"Where's Sana?" she asked. She hadn't seen the other woman in bed either but she looked back just to be sure.
"Oh she was called to go and see the prince off or something to that effect," Ghirahim replied.
"When?" She asked.
"Just now," Ghirahim replied. Zelda suddenly picked up Mikael and headed out the door. "Just what do you plan to do?"
"See them off," Zelda huffed. She couldn't believe they were just going to leave without saying goodbye at least and here she thought they were friends. She jolted as Ghirahim grabbed Mikael from her before grabbing her arm.
"I can get us there faster," Ghirahim said. Suddenly they appeared near Sana who was coming up to the bridge. Zelda picked up the pace a little.
"You two are leaving so soon?" Princess Zelda asked as she approached. Link smiled and looked as though he wanted to speak as he dismounted, until he frowned. She looked but only wound up spotting Sana first before peering back at Ghirahim who now had his hood up.
"What exactly happened?" Link questioned. "And who is this?" Zelda bit her lip, she wasn't sure what she should share considering the other two obviously planned to leave right away.
"It's a bit a long story, this is Ghirahim," Zelda announced, she hesitated. "He is Mikael's guard." She didn't want to reveal the nature of their new member so soon, after all she was still quite confused by it also.
"Mine," Mikael said. She smiled but frowned soon after, hoping Link wouldn't read too much into it.
"Indeed, I am bound to him," Ghirahim replied. She heard the rustle of the hood and could only assume he had pulled it down to reveal his appearance. "It's been a long time, Skychild." Link flinched, clearly the name struck a cord but why. "Fear not, however, Mikael is my master. So I am certain in time, we will get along famously."
"His servant then?" Link asked. Link suddenly fell forward caught by the Prince just in time, as he went to one knee. "His sword." The gasped words escaped his mouth, suddenly surprising her.
"Remember something?" Ghirahim asked, sounding worried. Zelda was worried as he looked around and she took a quick glance as well. "Skychild, did you..?"
"Maybe," Link responded. "What are you?"
"Mm, well most consider me a demon," Ghirahim replied, helping Link stand. "But I'm not really sure if I am, a demon, I mean. In my realm we are just people, like hylians are just people. I was born and raised to be a weapon, bound to my first master at our birth. Honestly if it wasn't for his insanity, we wouldn't have come to your world. But that is a story for another time."
"Yes, we have um.. bigger problems," Zelda intercepted.
"Much bigger problems.." Ghirahim agreed. It was then that she and Ghirahim explained everything that had happened. From the incident with the Yiga Clan to how Ghirahim was a part of everything that had happened. Once finished she explained her plans on what they were going to do next, they were going to solve the Yiga problem once and for all. It wasn't long before Link was mounted once more and soon the little party was heading out.
"I suppose we should head out as well," Zelda whispered.
"I'll go ready some horses then," Sana replied. Zelda nodded before heading back to pack, luckily Ghirahim helped and so did little Mikael. He talked a lot during the packing and giggled a bit, when Ghirahim made funny little comments. It wasn't long before they were all packed and ready to go. They met Sana back at the bridge, Zelda had taken some time to pack Sana a bag also and bring her lover's spear along as well as her own sword. Sana had had it made in Zora's Domain, it was a long thin blade perfect for her chosen stance. The sheath and blade rested comfortably at her hip as she handed Mikael up to Ghirahim before mounting her own horse, Lightening.
She then began to lead the way across the bridge waving to Bazz, whom was giving orders to some Lizalfo and Zora guards. It seemed like everything was getting back to normalcy or at least what passed for normal in times of peace. She just hoped they could resolve the issues with Yiga and get them to either join up or disperse. Zelda didn't really care which, she just wanted her, Sana's and Mikael's life back without this fear that someone would take him away.
