Tayla: Just a little heads up...This is from the last bonus part of the first video game, to be a Anime base type of special episodes is what I like to call it; for this does take place after Turnabout Goodbyes to be two months later for Phoenix and Cassie to work a bit to solve murder cases – for one person asks for their help to defend someone dear to this girl – with some other characters in this one but Maya Fey and the rest to be brand new, of the greatest other murder case of all time and another one in between to be two other murder cases to be a two years most unsolved case to have something to go down. Also, to edit some part from someone's moving making a little to add some from the game of a Anime version. On YouTube user name "This Time Productions" – who did a great job making from the game itself and such. It'll be a eight parts from it to have the same old murder mystery, trial, love, funny parts, characters' odd life, and so on. Enjoy my version to one day – they make a movie or OVA to be made in Japan to be dubbed by FUNimation Studios in the future 'that is if it does happen', and now on with the story.
The view rapidly darts past the lit windows of a building to reveal a tall tower of Japan on a stormy night. Suddenly, the blade of a knife appears, then the silhouette of a figure raising a knife over their head. Just as the figure makes to bring the knife down, they freeze and split into two individuals that are revealed to be in two separate buildings. The view pans across the city, then a switchblade flies through the air, a vase shatters on the floor, and a Blue Badger doll is seen silhouetted against a window. A hand holding a knife appears and the view slowly pans up to reveal a mysterious woman cloaked in shadows. As well as someone running into the room with a girl sleeping on a desk to see this man...Carrying a murder weapon! Running for her life, the man gives out chase, what was happening here? From another powerful flash of lighting, it cuts to Phoenix and Cassie to be working well at Wright & and Co. Law Office to help out each other, getting paid but no murder mysteries to solve lately in the past two months now.
Phoenix: It's been two months since Maya left the office...Two months without a single trial, all but having Cassie Freeman to help me in some cases and or us to move in together, it has be wonderful. I've had offers besides Cassie doing some of the parts for payment...But none I took. That is...until the day that girl showed up.
Time: February 22, 10:02 AM
Location: Wright & Co. Law Offices
Phoenix: (Why do I come here to the office every day? It's not like I want to work...)
Some works to get paid and been famous a lot, huh? For Phoenix and Cassie has without any big case to take on lately.
Cassie: Phoenix? Are you okay?
Phoenix: Huh...? No, I'm fine, Cassie. I've been working. Doing well paying for the rent, the two of us living together, and it still feels lonely with Maya around.
But she will come back since she needed to train her powers to be the best channel medium to use for good.
Cassie: I know, but Maya wanted to go back. We'll be seeing her again or for her to see us in any other case to come around next time.
Phoenix: I sure hope so.
This guy always pulls through to be fine for Cassie to stay by Phoenix's side, so he was fine. Soon they hear a knock at the door. A costumer?
Cassie: Someone's here? Coming!
Answering the door for Cassie sees it was a young sixteen year old girl, who almost looks like Maya.
?: Hello! I hope this is the right place to ask for you two to defend someone for me.
Cassie: Ah yes we do, Phoenix and I-!
Walking up to Phoenix to not know about Mia Fey's passing just yet, for she must've heard about her once.
?: Please excuse. There you are! Finally! Where have you been!? My sister's trial is tomorrow!
In a hurry, with Cassie joining with Phoenix, for this girl just asking for their help out of nowhere, but sensing something was up to be very serious.
Phoenix: ...Um...who are you?
Cassie: (Just who is this girl? She's serious to ask for her help.)
And mistaken for someone else was so easy to see it with your own eyes.
?: It doesn't matter who I am! It only matters who YOU are! You're the famous defense attorney, Mia Fey!
Phoenix: ...Huh?
?: ...What?
A lot to be fixed here.
Cassie: Excuse me, but Phoenix Wright's a guy, not a girl. But Mia was. And for me to be Cassie Freeman. He's a new defense attorney and I'm his girlfriend and murder mystery solver.
Looking at Phoenix's face again, this girl finally gets it.
Phoenix: Ah...
?: Oh, uh...You're not Mia Fey, are you?
Phoenix: I'm sorry, but Ms. Mia Fey no longer...works here.
Trying to get use to see Phoenix's face again to be Mia's student, not an errand boy.
?: So you are...? The coffee boy?
Cassie: We make our own coffee. (Did she listen to me when I introduce myself and Phoenix too?)
From what this girl's going through right now, probably not.
Phoenix: I'm Phoenix Wright...A defense attorney. And Cassie Freeman is my girlfriend and a murder mystery solver.
Thinking on her end, she has heard about them from the DL-6 and the other case with it was solved thanks to these couples.
?: Wright...Wright...Wait! You're THE Phoenix Wright!? The Phoenix Wright from the Edgeworth murder case!?
Cassie: Now you got it.
Phoenix: Um, yes, that's correct. (It wasn't Edgeworth who was murdered, though...)
?: That's a relief then! You're better than nobody! And you Cassie Freeman, you're so cool!
It was nice to meet a fan who love their work, for Cassie didn't mind helping this girl out for her and Phoenix to see what this girl wants with them.
?: Please help me! I'm out of time! I-it's my sister!
Seeing a weird feeling from this girl to look a lot like Maya. For Phoenix and Cassie sees the differences almost.
Cassie: Huh?!
Phoenix: (Maya...? Could it be...?)
Cassie: Phoenix, please take on her case to save her sister. I know she's a lot like Maya, but still. Her sister's alive to be saved the way Mia wanted us to save Maya in the end. (Talk about a funny feeling here.)
Seems to be something big, for Cassie was in and Phoenix decided to take on the case for good.
Phoenix: ... Okay. I'll hear you out.
Cassie: Me too.
And now it was time to hear who this girl was and her name as well – Ema Skye.
Ema: R-really!? Thank you so much! My name's Ema, Ema Skye. I'm a scientific investigator.
Phoenix: (Scientific investigator?) In such a young age?!
Wow! Who knew Ema was a scientific Investigator in such a young age. A lot more to talk about first before they can talk to her older sister. For anyway to solve a murder mystery in any way, Ema was also one of them the way Cassie does it differently.
Ema: I'm set to be formally assigned to Forensics in three more years. My work is becoming quite well known...At my age, no less!
Cassie: Everyone has something they need to be good at, the way I do things too.
Next was asking Ema Skye about the case from her sister frame for something she did do.
Phoenix: So what's this about a case? You said the trial's tomorrow?
Worried, Ema knows of her own sister and only one wasn't behind this mess at all.
Ema: My sister didn't do it! She wouldn't stab someone with a knife! She wouldn't!
Cassie: So...it's a murder case. (Finally, some action. Still, I feel a lot of sadness in Ema's heart.)
Seems from the past two months, Cassie is able to control her powers more and more which is good.
Ema: I don't care if there's a witness who saw her do it! She didn't do it! I know she didn't do it! It's a scientific fact!
Phoenix: And...there's a witness.
Someone believes in her other family members, so Ema begs them to come with her.
Ema: J-just talk to her! You have to talk to her!
This must be hard on someone so young, and for Cassie was by Ema's side.
Cassie: No worries, we'll go there right away to the Detention Center and see what your sister has to say. Sorry if Mia's not around anymore but we'll do our best.
It was time to go to work.
Phoenix: Right...I suppose we will.
Cassie: Does your parents know about this too?
Sadly, it was just Ema and her older sister left.
Ema: ….No, just us. Our parents died in a car crash and she's been taking care of me ever since.
Phoenix: We're sorry. Then we'll go have a word with her. Cassie, let's do what we always do in solving cases like these.
Getting his coat, it was good to have Phoenix back in t he game to work even harder now.
Cassie: Got it, Phoenix. Then let's head to the Detention Center.
And off they go – if both Phoenix and Cassie needed to know what happened to Ema's sister to get arrested, then they needed to hear it for herself. And what Cassie was getting to feel out Ema's heart...
Cassie: (Hmm...She wants to save her sister, but the other part of Ema's pain feels out of her not wanting to. Are they fighting or something?)
Whose to say until they have a word with this woman for themselves right away.
Time: February 22
Location: Detention Center - Visitor's Room
Waiting around can be boring sometimes – even Ema was pasting around a lot.
Cassie: Ema?
Ema: ...I feel like I should wait outside instead.
But they just got there.
Phoenix: (Hmm, I wonder what's wrong with Ema? She got quiet all of a sudden as soon as we arrived.)
Soon for Ema to see herself in the visitor's room to have the guard a bit shaken up from this woman's attitude, she sits down to see Ema again and two more people. Funny, she looks like Mia Fey almost, huh?
Ema: H-hi, Lana.
Cassie: This is your sister?
Trying to have a sister small talk, Lana Skye didn't care on whatever Ema says to make her change her mind.
Lana: Funny. I seem to remember specifically telling you NOT to come here. Perhaps my memory is failing?
Ema: L-look...I didn't want to come here either, okay? But your trial's tomorrow and you still don't have a defense attorney!
And with the trial being tomorrow, it wasn't any other choice.
Lana: I'll be the one in court tomorrow. This has nothing to do with you, Ema. Isn't that right, Mr. Wright?
Oh, she already knows about Phoenix at least.
Phoenix: Hey! How do you know me?
Lana: Mia mentioned you. I've heard...quite a bit. And you work with him now?
Seeing Phoenix's girlfriend to introduce herself next.
Cassie: Yes, I'm Cassie Freeman. A murder mystery solver and girlfriend of Phoenix. We wish to take on your case. (So Mia and Lana knew each other a while back.)
Then who would've thought it'll all come down to do this today.
Phoenix: Er, I'm sorry. What exactly is it that you do...?
Lana: My name is Lana, Lana Skye. I'm Chief Prosecutor for this district.
Wow! So Lana's not only Ema's only sister but the Chief of Prosecutors for the district too?! That must be big!
Phoenix: Y-you're a prosecutor!?
Cassie: Cool! I mean, who would've thought to see these two sisters to remind us of two other ones...So weird.
Phoenix: I know. (Two sisters...one a lawyer. Could this be a coincidence? Ema...Lana...I mean, they're just like...) Your own trial of murder?
Seems like it for Lana admits to her own guilt so easily, but why?
Lana: Funny, isn't it?
Yeah, they needed to know every detail they can get.
Lana: Very well, I'll tell you two everything. The crime took place yesterday, February 21, at 5:15 PM. The crime took place in the underground parking lot at the Prosecutor's Office. The body was found in the trunk of my subordinate's car and the victim was stabbed in the heart.
So from her saying she stabbed someone with a sharp item, in a car, and found at the prosecutor's building's parking spaces of all places.
Cassie: This is getting crazy...
As she was writing this whole thing down to studying some more, Phoenix was left shock on what Lana described the whole thing.
Phoenix: That's rather shocking.
Lana: That's the report the victim gave to the police.
Someone did see someone murder this person to think it was Lana herself? This was bad because Cassie didn't think so.
Cassie: Huh...? (Okay, something's up.)
Phoenix: There was a witness?
Tell the more please.
Lana: Indeed. And there's something you should know, both you Ms. Freeman and Mr. Wright. The victim was a detective. Do you two know what that means?
Not really if you keep to leave them hanging.
Phoenix: It means...?
Cassie: What does it mean?
One thing - it really means trouble with a capital 'T'.
Lana: It means the police department will consider it a matter of pride to have me found guilty. They will use any means at their disposal to do so.
Yeah, big trouble there.
Phoenix and Cassie: Oh, great!
What did I just say?
Phoenix: Anything else we do need to know about next?
Cassie: And please make it good.
Well, she doesn't to say something else for Lana to not be send to jail for.
Lana: I'm responsible for overseeing every trial handled by prosecutors in this district. I make sure the prosecutors have what they need to do the job, and manage every aspect. Those are my responsibilities, in a nutshell.
Not good to admitting it!
Ema: You what?!
Phoenix: Are you trying to make my job harder?
Cassie: Hey Lana, do you know what this means?! You'll lose your job, be put to jail forever, and you'll never see freedom ever again. How is Phoenix and I suppose to help you?!
Like she cared at all.
Lana: Then allow for me to explain things much clearer, Ms. Freeman. It'll be pointless for you two to take on this case. So don't you lovely couple do anything so foolish.
Well, Lana was a bit different than Mia would never give up on her clients.
Phoenix: You're wrong. If Mia was alive today, she do from within her own powers to prove in her clients innocence.
Cassie: Yeah, you would find the right criminal on your end!
Lana: But it would be pointless to not find out if I'm innocent or not.
Having them to take on a job like this was much different.
Phoenix: We do. Because she believes you are.
And from when Maya first met with Phoenix and Cassie after Mia was killed, she too believed in her innocent to be saved and stopped Redd White in the end to avenge Mia's spirit. So now with Ema, she still had faith in Lana.
Ema: I know you didn't do it, Lana, I know! So...So how can you say you did!? If I lose you...I'll be all alone! I...I hate you, Lana!
Kind of sad here, huh? For Cassie feels a deep pain in Lana's heart more to be hiding it all and Ema to be sad about it.
Cassie: (We will find the truth, Lana, just you wait.)
Soon she just turns to Phoenix and Cassie to say one last thing before calling it a day.
Lana: ... Mr. Wright? Ms. Freeman? I leave the rest to you two.
So I take it she wants them to defend Lana deep down.
Cassie: Really? Ah, thanks. I guess...
Phoenix: Um...you mean, you're requesting our services as your defense?
Seems like it for Lana doesn't admit everything to hiding a deep secret will be hurting her a lot.
Lana: Don't lose any sleep over it. Your client has confessed, after all. The case is over.
Phoenix: Right...I'll do what I can to get to the bottom of this.
Cassie: We won't let you down, Lana.
Lana: Then we will see.
Soon the three of them leave, for another murder case was under way for them to do – for Phoenix and Cassie were on it, and Ema wanted to help out as well.
Phoenix: (Lana has confessed to the crime, yes...But something doesn't fit, even Cassie can feel out Lana's pain deep down. Also, it's that look in Ema's eyes. There's something else going on here...and we're going to find out what!)
Leaving the building, Ema didn't mean of her hating Lana a lot did she? It was hard to tell for them to be like this was the first time to ever happened between them from a few years ago.
Ema: I'm sorry, Mr. Wright. Cassie.
Phoenix: Huh? About what?
Ema: My sister...She's not always like that you know.
Yeah, a lot different to try to picture it better maybe.
Cassie: Really now.
Phoenix: ... I just never expected to be defending another prosecutor again.
Ema: She's changed a lot. She used to be so gentle, always smiling. Everybody liked her.
She must've done a great job during the time for others to like her, and not anymore to be nothing more than a acted.
Phoenix: I see...What happened to her?
Cassie: What made her into a silence jerk?
Just describing it is all, Ema knew from Cassie's words didn't mean it in a bad way. Sadly, even she doesn't know what changed Lana suddenly as well.
Ema: I don't know for certain myself...I think maybe she...Well, maybe not.
Phoenix: (Sounds like there's something there that defies a simple scientific explanation.) Let's go check out this underground parking at the Prosecutor's Office, shall we? Cassie?
Cassie: Let's go, Phoenix. And Ema, you stay close to us, got it?
A young member to the team, but she follows the rules well.
Ema: O-Okay!
Next stop was the Prosecutor's Building of the parking area they go to first. With a lot of other cars parked inside – and trying to find the murder scene where it took place will be a bit harder to do. For Cassie was ready for anything, Ema will do her best on something she really wants to do, and Phoenix still had his 'A' defense lawyer skills to use.
Time: February 22
Location: Prosecutor's Office - Underground Parking Lot
Cassie: Lots of cops here.
From a murder case like this one to steer clear from the car where the dead body was found. But who's the murder victim? That's the next part to find out.
Phoenix: Looks like the investigation is still going on.
Cassie: Seems like it.
Seeing a red looking sports car, I doubt something so pricey didn't belong to Lana at all, but to someone else who worked here.
Ema: And there's the car where the body was found.
Phoenix: But it seems to be heavily guarded though.
Yeah, from the looks of it of some guy dress...as a cowboy? What...?
Cassie: Huh? Who invited Clint Eastwood?
Somehow, Ema recognizes the man.
Ema: Hey, I know that guy. Hey! Mr. Marshall!
Phoenix: What are you doing?
Well, she did call out for this guy to hear Ema out
Ema: What? There's no harm in saying hi.
Cassie: During work like this? I don't know, Ema.
Maybe for the cops to get some things done would be a big problem if Cassie and Phoenix are unable to get anything in time. It's an officers job if the lawyers do something wrong in their line of work sometimes.
Phoenix: Actually, there is. You know attorneys aren't supposed to examine crime scenes? I'm trying to not stand out too much, here, see?
Cassie: Too late for that now...
Accidents happen to learn something like it the hard way maybe.
Ema: Sorry.
Cassie: Nah, it's fine if I'm with Phoenix to have us get to work.
Soon the man walks up to ask them some questions...His name is Jake Marshall.
Jake: Pardon me, but what are you folks think you're doing here? You too, bambina?
Cassie: Bambina...?
Is that a cowboy way of talking in Jake's language or what?
Ema: Mr. Marshall, I'm glad you remember me.
Jake: Sure I do. I knew someone like your would come snoopin' around.
Ema: Then can you let us look around for a bit?
They seem to know each other very well. For Jake's a detective who sadly can't allow Ema or the other two to have a look around.
Jake: Sorry, bambina. I know how you must feel right now, but I got orders. No one touches the car.
Cassie: Then you must be a detective in charge?
Seems like it for Jake is only doing his part, to be a cowboy and a bit of a lady's man.
Jake: It just part of the job, Missy...
Trying to kiss Cassie's hand, so moves it away from his.
Phoenix: Nice moves.
Cassie: Thanks. Sorry buddy, but I'm already taken.
Jake: Oh well, I try a little. Anyways, feel free to have a look around otherwise. Just steer clear from the car or you'll regret it.
Was he hinting to Phoenix as a threat since he and Cassie are a couple? Or he was just doing his job...?
Phoenix: (Pushy much...?) Say, an we ask you one thing?
Jake: Shoot.
Phoenix: Who owns that car?
Cassie: I know it doesn't belong to Lana Skye, so whose is it?
Yeah, for someone to own this type of car could be from one person only that already know of.
Jake: The owner? I reckon you would have the reports on these things by now or somethin'. But I'm sure you'll find your answers soon. Maybe.
Well he is just doing his job to let them know.
Cassie: OK, I guess.
Ema: Thanks again, Mr. Marshall.
Tilting his hat down to them, they get to work and look around. For one of them, Ema finds the first clue to be lying on a ground. It was a wallet.
Ema: Hey, look!
Phoenix: What is it?
Picking it up, to see who the murder victim was.
Ema: Someone dropped their wallet.
Cassie: A wallet? Could it belong to the killer or the victim? If so, we got ourselves our first clue. (What luck so far.) Let's see what's inside of it.
Opening up the wallet, the person had a name - or rather a ID card with some numbers on it. Bruce Goodman with the number saying - #5842189.
Phoenix: A name and ID number are written here. "Detective Bruce Goodman, ID# 5842189.
Ema: There. Now will you take it?
Good thing Cassie was getting all of this down, the first evidences to hold to.
Cassie: So, I take it he was killed? Seems like it to me to drop something personal. It's fine, Phoenix. I have things memorize too.
Phoenix: I guess. Thanks, Cassie, you're the best as always.
Cassie: It's nothing.
Closer in love, for Ema to see this as well.
Ema: You sure love Mr. Wright more than Mr. Marshall, huh?
Cassie: It just happened, Ema, that's all. But yes our love is strong even when we're working together like this.
Ema: I hope to some day meet the man of my dreams.
I think so will when Ema's a bit older to understand some day. Putting it in Phoenix's pocket, they continue to investigate all over the place where Bruce was killed at, and maybe in other areas both inside and out if so. Where to next...? Inside the building to go into an office of a prosecutor lawyer to be working there today, for the door to be open as Phoenix, Cassie, and Ema went inside to have a look around for anymore clues. Seriously? Who leaves the door open if they're working or not paying any attention? I think we all know who's office room this was from the Anime series a few episodes back, right...? Because I do.
Time: February 22
Location: High Prosecutor's Office – Room 1202
Cassie: Who leaves the door unlocked with no one around during work time...?
As I already said, people need to be more careful with these type of things.
Ema: This is the kind of room that just screams "I can do the job." Quite a change from your office, really.
But Cassie didn't mind the look to make Phoenix feel right at home.
Phoenix: Yeah, yeah. I get it.
Cassie: I think our office is just fine.
Looking around for a bit, they come across a strange looking trophy to be sitting on the desk 'and first time being in "his" office of course'.
Ema: Look, look! There's a trophy or something here!
Yeah, from a sword and a big shield to look broken.
Cassie: It looks broken.
Ema: It takes real nerve to display stuff like this. Whoever's office this is, he must be a real stuck-up jerk!
Not if the stuck-up jerks happens to be Edgeworth himself who works in his office to overhear those words. Oh, boy...
Edgeworth: Phoenix Wright...You never tire of prying into other people's business, do you? For Cassie I don't mind for her visiting me.
Same old guy to make some changes to still be a prosecutor lawyer.
Phoenix Edgeworth!
Edgeworth: It's nice seeing some company by sneaking into my office.
Yep, told you guys this room belong to Edgeworth to look the same as ever.
Cassie: Edgeworth, hi. (Same old guy to still be kind. And still hitting on me just to tease with Phoenix again.) Sorry, we didn't know this room was yours. The door was left opened.
Edgeworth: I won't mind you at all.
From him to be well and working normally 'to make amends on some', Ema was a huge fan of Edgeworth who he also works with Lana sometimes.
Ema: Wow, it's good to see you again, Edgeworth! Hi!
This was new for Phoenix and Cassie to hear about.
Phoenix: You two know each other...?
Cassie: I didn't know Edgeworth had group fans like you, Ema.
Little joke aside, Ema was to also see Edgeworth and Lana's team work was always well done in any court.
Ema: Of course! My sister introduce us a long time ago.
Cassie: You trust in someone like him is all. (Either that, or she has a small crush on Edgeworth a little.)
Sitting back at his desk to remember Ema Skye as well.
Edgeworth: Yes, I remember. I wasn't stuck up a lot than I was then to change a lot more now.
Ema: Well, um...we're here to investigate a murder. A dead body was found in a car at the parking lot.
I think he was already aware of the whole thing to not be surprised one bit. The other shocking truth was the car on which person who has it.
Edgeworth: ...That would be my car.
Seeing the license plate for Cassie to look at written down, the logo of Edgeworth on it made sense.
Cassie: Yep...It's Edgeworth fancy car alright.
Phoenix: Whoa! Ah...I mean...So the body was found in your car.
Cassie: Yeah, seems like it. But why would it be in Edgeworths car of all others?
That part right there doesn't make any sense at all.
Edgeworth: Yes, Wright it's mine. And you can take that stupid look off your face.
Sitting down on a big coach, they get the point.
Cassie: Phoenix knows you didn't do it, Edgeworth. Relax. But we do like to ask you a few things about it.
Ema: Yes. We don't think you didn't do it at al, Mr. Edgeworth. My sister is the defend.
Now that part was new for Edgeworth to hear about.
Edgeworth: I know, I'm the one who's trying to prove in her guilt.
Hey, after what happened from two months ago wouldn't stop Edgeworth from caring out his job one bit.
Phoenix: Wait...! You're the prosecutor we're going up again tomorrow?
Cassie: Way to get back in the game and all, but still. (But I sense some good, just doing his job to get some answers in any way possible.)
There was another reason why Edgeworth was taken upon this to go up again Lana Skye in court, part of the court rules was allowed.
Edgeworth: The Chief of Prosecutor can be prosecuted in her own trial. So I was called in.
Just because Edgeworth had a job to do, that doesn't mean of Ema having some doubts to find Lana guilty to still love his work. As well as Cassie finding the rules about it in the rule book.
Cassie: Ah, yeah...you guys, he's right. Edgeworth can do such a thing as he just said.
He didn't want to do this to go up against Lana either.
Edgeworth: Believe me, I didn't want this case. I knew she as the best prosecutors around and since I've started with my career. From the way Lana worked, she was always looking out for me a lot. At least I thought she was.
Cassie: Hey! You don't know if she's guilty yet, Edgeworth.
Trying to keep her cool, Cassie has also gotten better with it.
Edgeworth: I'm always up against you two, and for you to get angry with a special gift. It kind of makes you look cute.
Phoenix: Quit it, Edgeworth!
A rivalry and friendship for Cassie's love never ends with those two only.
Cassie: Phoenix, I love you. Edgeworth is kidding to try to take a hint a little.
Ema: Still...What makes you think my sister commit the crime herself?
Yeah, why does he always thinks so?
Edgeworth: Because she left a dead man in my car with a use murder weapon in his torso.
Ema: Murder weapon?
Cassie: It was a sharp item to be the murder weapon itself then.
And what's worse was this next part...
Edgeworth: To be specific, it was the knife kept in the toolbox in the trunk of my car. Thanks to that, there are more rumors about me.
Cassie: AND WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! Leaving a murder weapon...In your own car!
I think that's the number one thing when working that someone should never-ever do to leave it in their own car like it's nothing.
Phoenix: Edgeworth, I thought you already had more than your fair share of rumors over the years.
But the one from two months ago will not just go away within a day, it takes time.
Edgeworth: For a long time, I've been under suspicion. Made up lies, false witness, evidences...You name it. And there are those who believe I'm in involved with this incident, that they would go so far to gift me some toys. Like this.
Such as the strange looking trophy he has on his desk.
Cassie: So much to not say they're sorry to shut you up with that thing...How sad.
Edgeworth: Well, they think it's funny.
That leaves the question about the trophy itself.
Phoenix: What is this thing suppose to be?
Edgeworth: It's the King of Prosecutor's Trophy.
That thing is...? For Edgeworth to do so well on some good parts and now, he didn't seem too happy getting it.
Phoenix: The what now...?
Cassie: "The King of Prosecutor's Trophy", Phoenix. I heard about people like Edgeworth get these on a fine work they do that's right and not wrong. And for Manfred to once get these...I think they were force to due to his cheating demands.
Never mentioning the likes of him again.
Edgeworth: They give it out to the best prosecutors every year.
Ema: So it's kind of like employee of the month, only it's much better.
Yes, but some parts to be a hassle to lawyer like him.
Edgeworth: Take that smirk elsewhere, Wright. I have to go through all day at work without seeing "that" thing.
Phoenix: Why?
You see? Edgeworth's not really fond of the trophy at all. A very busy day to get it, and a once a year type of thing.
Edgeworth: They held a ceremony there since yesterday. Same old boring traditional.
Cassie: Boring, huh? Got it.
Phoenix: And what was so special about yesterday?
Besides the trophy day? Yes, do tell us more...
Edgeworth: Yesterday was the annual cleaning day at the Prosecutor's Office. We gather the files on the murders which took places like some to be a few days ago.
Phoenix: But the murder happen yesterday.
A little early for this one that is.
Cassie: More like cleaning up some old cases which was solved already.
Edgeworth: Indeed. After the ceremony, I arrive back here at 5:12 PM.
Well, he checks out 'of course'.
Ema: So the murder happened right after you came back.
Seems like it to be a lot more to it. Edgeworth's trophy, the weapon use to murder someone again in his car, the time, what happened in between, and for the to be gathering so far. Soon a knock at the door is heard for someone as another cops arrives to give something out to Edgeworth, to not be so good for this guy.
?: Hello? I'm an officer coming in. I'm looking for Mr. Edgeworth!
He sure sounds loud and just trying to do his job.
Edgeworth: I'm Edgeworth. What is it?
Meet Officer Mike Meekins to be weird and loud, but he really does his job the best he can do.
Cassie: What an odd cop he is.
Meekins: I'm here, sir, at the request of the Chief, sir! I've got your report, sir!
He already knows who the Chief person was.
Edgeworth: Report? What? Did you find new evidence in the case against Chief Prosecutor Skye!?
Phoenix: (I don't like the way this conversation is going at all...)
This has Meekins to be left confused on what he meant.
Meekins: Er...Skye, sir? No, sir!
Edgeworth: I made a clear request to the Police Department, did I not? I need to focus on the trial tomorrow, so don't bring me anything unrelated!
Meekins: Sir! But, but sir! I'm just following orders, sir!
Edgeworth: Give me your name!
Trying to do his job, Edgeworth will only do the case involving with Lana Skye and nothing not related.
Meekins: U-uh, yes...yes, Sir! M-M-Meekins, sir. Officer Mike Meekins!
Edgeworth: Right. Officer Meekins? Take your report and leave. And good luck with that raise next month.
Meekins: B-but, sir, I d-didn't know!
Ouch, a bit harsh on this dude huh?
Phoenix: Damn. (Poor guy. Looks like he was absent on the day they gave out brains and good luck.)
Cassie: Hey, sorry about Edgeworth. He's just very busy is all, sir. Please take him as a bad guy or nothing.
This has Meekins looking at Cassie to be head over heels in love with her beauty too.
Meekins: Wow! A real angel! I think I've died and gone to heaven!
For Edgeworth was staring at Meekins, it was time to make his exit.
Edgeworth: Excuse me...
Meekins: Ah, right...Sir! I'll be leaving now.
Another love from some to Jake, and now with Meekins.
Phoenix: Another one...?
Cassie: A nice guy, but even he's not my type to talk so loud.
Anyways, that was an awkward type of scene there to just leave it be.
Edgeworth: Wright.
Phoenix: Y-yes, sir!? I mean Edgeworth! (Gah! He caught me off guard!)
Edgeworth: As you can see and Cassie, I'm busy. You may leave now. Good luck tomorrow.
A bit of a good words there, they'll be leaving now.
Ema: Thank you again.
Phoenix: We'll go now, just tell us anything else?
Edgeworth: The victim was attacked in the same building he just came from.
Oh really now? If Edgeworth knew who to tell them that next.
Phoenix: What was his name?
Edgeworth: Bruce Goodman.
The same name of the person who was found murdered.
Cassie: So he came here as well from yesterday before he was killed? This is big, I wonder what he was doing last night.
Well, they got something so far.
Phoenix: Thanks, Edgeworth. See you tomorrow.
Thanks to Phoenix's friend and rival there of Edgeworth to still be doing his job, it seems he, Ema, and Cassie were getting some leads and clues so far...And some of the suspects to meet up with. Getting downstairs and out of the office, they need to look around the murder scene if only Jake will allow them to do so, just talking to him won't be so easy.
Phoenix: You know...It would really help if we look at that car.
Cassie: But that Jake guy's there, remember? And I'm acting fro my charm to keep him off guard.
Like that'll ever happy for Cassie to say it out of nowhere.
Ema: Well, he doesn't seem to be the very best as a guard.
Cassie: You mean a cowboy detective?
Ema: Maybe...But it should be too difficult to distract him.
Distracting Jake might be something a bit harder to do.
Phoenix: Then you do it, Ema. You two know each other better to not hit on my Cassie again.
Cassie: No thank you.
It was worth a short to try something along those lines then yes.
Time: February 22
Location: Prosecutor's Office - Underground Parking Lot
Heading back there for Jake was just watching on things to see the three returning again.
Jake: Howdy, folks!
Ema: Mr. Marshall, could you tell us about something?
Phoenix and Cassie carefully start to have a look around the spot of Bruce's dead body was found near the car, very carefully now.
Jake: Sure, I'll try my best to help you out. But I can't do my job will not getting too much attention from you people.
Ema: It's the case about my sister.
Jake: The last that I heard from your sister to be doing her job carefully, or too careful if you ask me. Something about her and the victim, maybe they did know each other for me to see Goodman later for two years now. Another case as well from two years back.
Hmmm...This could be very important about it later on. With Phoenix and Cassie looking around a bit and writing it all down, there was one clue to be found.
Cassie: Phoenix, look.
Seeing a cell phone to belong to Lana to drop it in the back seat of the car, to grab it right away without Jake seeing them.
Phoenix: Got it.
Cassie: (Yes.) Good, now talk to Jake before he notices what we did.
Phoenix: (Good, idea. We need to question him on other things anyways.) If you don't mind me asking you something, Mr. Marshall...Are you really a patrol man?
A full time sheriff of a cowboy, or just an act? Well, he loves stuff like this for a reason I bet.
Jake: It just me, partner, the lone wanderer.
Winking at Cassie to freak her out, Jake was something of a player too.
Cassie: Ew! Please don't do that again.
Jake: Sorry, Missy, I couldn't help myself from your beauty.
Phoenix: And crime scenes are done by detectives only.
Yeah, should Gumshoe be around to things like this one or what?
Jake: I was a detective from two years ago, then they made me in charge on patrol today. A real piety really.
Phoenix: I see...Well thank you for your time, Mr. Marshall.
Ema: Bye, Mr Marshall.
This was plenty to get what they needed for tomorrow's trial.
Cassie: Yeah later, just keep your women charms to yourself next time. (Be who you want to be then, mister.)
Getting out of the parking lot area to the exit door, a cell phone belonging to Lana could come in handy.
Ema: Mr. Wright. Cassie. Have you two found anything?
Phoenix: Just this...
Well, Cassie got the cell phone and Phoenix found a note in the car as well with things written on it.
Cassie: Two things...This paper here says - 6-75 12/2. Ah...I don't know what this means.
Phoenix: This number does seem to be important though. There's no name on here.
Ema: 6-75? What does it mean?
Neither of the three don't know what it was, but any clue which is part of this case was better than nothing.
Phoenix: No idea.
Cassie: Same here. (Another part to keep in mind with this paper.)
Leaving the building for Cassie to feel out a footprint to belong to a woman, and a marking of her cell phone to fall on the ground to make some marketing left on there.
Cassie: (Foot prints and paint markets from a cell phone...? Wait!)
Looking at Phoenix, they knew what it was to see the phone of Lana did call someone, it also had her calling Ema before she got arrested.
Phoenix: We found something else in the lobby.
Cassie: And in the car to match where Lana stood before coming to the car and left some markings and food prints from it. See?
Showing the phone to Ema as she recognizes it.
Ema: That's Lana's phone.
Phoenix: Well, that's not everything.
Ema: What do you mean?
Phoenix: It was at the crime scene.
Cassie: For she had to be doing something.
But that had not to be true at all.
Ema: But Mr. Wright. Cassie. Lana's the Chief of Prosecutors, remember? She must've dropped it without noticing.
Phoenix: Maybe...But the last call was made at 5:18 PM.
Ema: Oh...Not good.
Not good? More of Lana trying to call Ema to ask for help, on something she wasn't fully aware of yet.
Cassie: No it's not. It's was also the last call it was made out to.
Using some gloves for Phoenix to it to send caller to go off, all the way to Ema's cell phone to get it. No doubt for it to be belong to Lana's. Also, Ema's cell phone ring tone was from the Steel Samurai theme.
Phoenix: Interesting.
The two of them hang up at the same time.
Cassie: So to recount...At 5:15 PM, Edgeworth was in his car to park before Bruce was killed in it; for someone to find Lana with the dead body in the car to do so. And then at 5:18, just after the murder took place and she was arrested...Your sister called you, didn't she, Ema?
Now it made sense on what Ema got a call.
Ema: ...I forgot about that.
Phoenix: What did she say to you?
Something very important for Ema remembers something on what Lana said.
Ema: Nothing, she hung up right away.
Cassie: Why would she call you and then hang up in the last second though...
So weird for Lana to almost cal up Ema, huh?
Phoenix: I see...Well, Cassie and I better head back to the office now.
Cassie: We have to prepare for the trial tomorrow.
With them doing that, Ema had her own task to do.
Ema: I think I'll look around Lana's office. So I can try to find anything.
And soon, the go their own paths to save Lana's innocence.
Phoenix: Okay, good luck.
Cassie: Ema, we're going to need all the head we can get.
Phoenix: Say Ema, if you want to sit in trial with Cassie and me...we can sign you up as our co-partner.
It's allow just as long a they send the report today, and they always do like with Maya and Cassie 'the most'.
Ema: Really? You two can do that.
Cassie: We're a team here after all. (Family comes first to be saved, the way I'll do the same for my parents real soon.)
Phoenix: As long as you're prepare on what might not happen.
In other words, try to win or see on what happens if everything does go so well.
Cassie: Don't forget too, Edgeworth's ruthlessly in court. A good friend to us, but still does his job as a prosecutor. (Still, I'm glad he's on our side.)
Phoenix: He still sees as his duty to conflict anyone guilty. And unfortunately, it could have Lana looking guilty.
But she didn't care but to try to show on how much Ema cares for her sister still.
Ema: I know. I still want to be there for Lana.
Phoenix: Then it settles.
Each three of them, two at a time shake on it to know of the outcome already if so. Hey, it's part of the court's rules sometimes.
Cassie: See you in court tomorrow.
Ema: Bye, Mr Wright and Cassie. Thanks again for taking on this case.
Phoenix: And we'll do our very best to solving it as well.
And so...Ema was on her own to see what she can find and Phoenix and Cassie both headed back before calling it a night. But for them to not be alone for someone to be spying on the from within the shadows.
Cassie: Huh? (Is someone following us?)
Seeing it closely to get downstairs, there was nothing or no one around.
Phoenix: Cassie?
Cassie: Sorry, I thought I felt someone spying.
Phoenix: I hope not. I'll be here to protect you still.
Holding each other to walking out of the building.
Cassie: My hero... (Still, we need to be on our toes for this case. For someone like Lana to admit her guilt, I feel something sad from within her own heart she's not telling us or Ema about yet. All of it.)
Whatever it is, we'll know soon enough to learn more of this odd spy person later...First comes the trial for Edgeworth wishes to know if Lana's guilty or not 'and Ema to not be true for her sister'. Can Phoenix and Cassie find out who really killed Bruce Goodman and the many clues left out. More to come next time of course. For the clues and a few new people we know of it 'with another one on stands to be brand new', we'll see soon enough.
