Chowder was about eight years old, looking outside the window.
"What's up, Chowder?" Mung asked.
"I've been thinking." Chowder said.
"Well, that would be a first… I mean what were you thinking about?" Mung asked nervously.
"Why am I a little cat-bear-rabbit creature and why are you a… Whatever you are?" Chowder asked. "And Truffles is a mushroom fairy and Shnitzel is a rock. So which one of you… Is my family?"
"Well, Chowder…" Mung knelt down to the small boy. "I guess… Truffles is your fairy god mother, Shnitzel is the wall that protects you, and I am your true blue master... And you… Are a cat-bear-rabbit because you are one of a kind."
"I never thought of that. Things make much more sense… I think. Thanks Mung." Chowder said as he hugged Mung. He then scuttled away to something that looked good to eat.
"Well… Got my way out of that one." Mung sighed in relief.
"We will have to tell him the truth someday." Truffles warned him.
"I know, that way just sounded more poetic." Mung shrugged proudly.
5 years later, Chowder was cooking yet another recipe in the kitchen with Mung and Shnitzel.
"Now for the Fragile Footlong with Fries, we need the softest bread" Mung said, he helf tweezers to carefully put a slice of long bread onto the counter. "The Breakable bacon."
"What next?!" Chowder shouted excitedly.
"Don't make too much noise." Mung shushed Chowder. "It needs to be just right."
"So… What can I do to help?" Chowder asked.
"Um… Just stand over there." Mung said.
"That's what you always say when we make the hardest recipes." Chowder pouted. "I'm getting the feeling you don't want me to help at all."
"Oh, don't be silly, you're doing your part just like everyone else." Mung smiled nervously as he patted Chowder's head.
"Why doesn't anyone believe in me?!" Chowder screamed out loud. Then the sandwich broke into a million pieces. "Oh no… I guess I should go to my room now… Again…"
Chowder sighed and went upstairs.
"What if I'm not meant to be a chef?" Chowder said to himself. "I mean all I did was come out of nowhere. They're not even my real family."
Chowder then had the decision to write down a letter.
"Dear Mung, Truffles and Shnitzel. I'm off to find my family. Love Chowder." Chowder "wrote", well as well as he could which wasn't well at all.
"Pfft." Kimchi said.
"Sorry Kimchi but it's probably the best." Chowder sighed.
"Pfffft." Kimchi replied.
"You want to come with me?" Chowder asked. Kimchi nodded. "Thanks, you're the best."
Chowder took his suitcase outside and he and Kimchi went off.
Chowder looked at the Map Of Marzipan to see where he could go.
"According to this map, there is an area of Hungry Hungry Hounds. They do nothing but eat all day, they love their chow, and they will do crazy stuff that generally cause trouble for food." Chowder read. "Sounds like me! They must be my real family!" Then he began singing. "I'm goin' home! I'm goin' home!"
Mung, Shnitzel and Truffles went to check up on Chowder, and they found out he was gone.
"He ran away didn't he?" Truffles sighed.
"This is like the third time this show." Mung facepalmed. "We better go find him before he hurts himself or someone else. This is Chowder we are talking about."
"Radda radda." Shnitzel agreed.
