Recently, I finished Persona 5 Strikers and I decided to try and attempt another Reincarnation fanfic, and if this goes downhill, I'm gonna stop here and not do another one of these again.

Sadly, I've never played previous Persona 5 games, so my knowledge it very little outside of Strikers. So I'll be needing to do a lot of research on previous games, and also I'll need to watch some gameplay of the previous games.

Anywho, enough of my rambling. Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 1

Incident Before the Meet Up

I've alway had weird crazy dreams, and most of the time I decide to not talk about them. They always varied from time to time too, from being weird, to being nice, to just… random.

Seriously, why do I even dream of people I haven't seen in years?! Like my 3rd Grade teacher?! What the fuck?!

However, this one took the icing on the cake for sure, seeing as how I woke up and I appeared to be in a place I barely understood; the Velvet Room.

At first, I was simply thinking that this was just another fucked up dream when I had stood up, seeing as I had been hardcore playing Persona 5 Strikers the previous days, but then Larenza approached me.

"Hello there, new prisoner of fate," she had said. "Welcome to the Velvet Room."

"So, am I here cause my life is at stake, my social life if it ever existed, or my darkest secrets?" I asked.

"Sadly, your life is at stake," she answered.

"Well thank god it's not the other two," I said. "I don't think I could keep writing my fanfics if my darkest secrets got out. Or if my friends got hurt by me again." I crossed my arms. "I still wonder why they want to hang out with me…"

"Regardless of your standing, you have been forced to bare a tragic fate, a fate that not even my master has seen," Larenza continued. "I may only hope that you can survive in this new, uncertain world; a world of which you've never experienced before, especially in someone else's steed…"

We were silent, before I said, "So I'm about to be reincarnated into a video game basically."

"I… suppose," Larenza said.

"Lit," I commented, before I asked her, "Also, quick question."

"Yes?"

"Do you like Joker?" I asked. She went silent, so I assumed yes. "Well, if I do end up screwing his life over and he gets a girlfriend before he can give a marriage proposal to you, just know this…" I smiled. "I ship it."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Larenza asked.

"It means Larenza and Joker, sitting in a tree," I began.

"If you finish that, I will hit you," came a new voice, which I recognized as Joker's, before looking to the cell over, and I saw Joker in a prison uniform.

"Oh, what's up mister protagonist?" I asked.

He went silent, before saying, "Do not screw my life over."

"I'll get you Futaba for a girlfriend," I said.

"Okay?" Joker said, unsure how to reply. "I'm suppose to react to that?"

Time for drastic measures. "I'll make you seem gay," I said, which made Joker and Larenza's jaws drop.

"What the fuck?!" Joker questioned.

"Just kidding," I said, before turning around and I realized something. "Wait, how the hell do I leave this place?"

"Get on your knees and pray," Joker said jokingly.

"Blue skies, they turn to gray. Black sunset, in the sky, and I'm dreaming." At least he was attempting to joke. Not that it affected me since I countered it with verses of a song. So I decided to look around my cell, before deciding to lay on the floor, and fall asleep.

And that was the beginning of my stupid adventure.

I woke up at the crack of dawn, the light of the morning sun hitting my face and waking me up. "Yep, just a dream," I said dismissively, not thinking much about my dream. "Would've been cool if that actually happened."

"Still wishing we could still be the Phantom Thieves?" A familiar voice said, before I looked at the voice and I saw it was a talking cat. "I hear ya, but we can't exactly do that anymore. Not with all the Palaces gone and the Meta-Nav app gone too."

I went silent, before deciding to play along, thinking back to a fanfiction I read called "Ignite to the Call" where Izuku was trying not to seem like he was having an episode. In which case, I'm gonna seem like I'm Joker. "Yeah. But hey, at least we'll meet up with everyone soon."

"True," the cat, or Morgana in which I confirmed, said. "We better get ready before we head over to Leblanc."

"Yeah," I said, before deciding to get up. So… It really was happening.

Well, I guess it's showtime.

Soon, after I got dressed, me and Morgana left Joker's house and we left to go to Leblanc.

"This is gonna be very fun, getting to see everyone again!" Morgana told me. "Especially Lady Ann~!"

"You have such the obsession with her," I said. "Honestly, I think the only reason you wanted to come was because Ann was gonna be here." Hopefully he wouldn't think anything about it.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Morgana denied, which made me chuckle a little.

"Bullsh…" Reality was that I was gonna say 'Bullshit', but due to force of habit, I left out the rest.

"Huh, why'd you stop?" Morgana asked. Well crap.

I was gonna make an excuse, but a lady who was sitting in a seat on the other side of the train we were riding caught my eye, and she gave me a smile, since she had a child with her. A five year old at that. She mouthed, 'Thank you' to me. At least, I think. I'm not good at reading lips.

"There's a five year old on the other side," I told Morgana. "It's not good to cuss around little kids. It could get them in trouble." I would know from experience.

"That's true," Morgana said, taking it as a good answer, before we got off the train. Luckily, I got my phone… er, Joker's phone, to guide us to Leblanc. When we got there, I knew what to expect, and so I then opened the door.

When it closed, I noted how still everything was. I then smiled, because I knew they were all here already, despite how I shouldn't know. And so I said, "I guess the Phantom Thieves have improved their stealth."

"Welcome home!" The other members of the Phantom Thieves exclaimed, which made me jump since while I expected it, that didn't mean I wasn't gonna jump, seeing as how I was very jumpy from time to time. But still, I managed to fake a smile.

"Surprise! Did we get you?" Ryuji had asked as he put a hand around my shoulders.

I was about to reply when Futaba walked up and said, "We missed ya!"

"Indeed, it has been a long time," Yusuke added.

"Did you get taller?" Haru asked.

"It sure is great to see you," Makoto said.

Ann walked up and petted Morgana. "You too Morgana." Morgana meowed in response.

I smiled for real now. "It sure has been a long time."

"Ahaha! Even though we were found, we still surprised you!" Ann replied.

"You guys did all of that for us? Talk about a greeting!" Morgana said.

"We hadn't seen ya in so long, we knew we had to so somethin'!" Ryuji said. "We figure the best way to get ya was to have Boss let us in early!"

Sojiro smiled from where he stood behind the bar. "Well, you're lookin' sharp."

"Long time no see," I said.

"I hear ya. Even though it's only been a couple of months, it feels like it's been a real long while," Sojiro replied. "I'm sure you all have plenty of catching up to do… But I've got to open up soon, go ahead and take it upstairs."

"Okay," I said. "Thank you."

"No prob," Sojiro said.

"Thieves, to the hideout!" Futaba said.

I smiled, before we walked to the hideout, though I did say, "Shouldn't the leader be the one to say that?"

"W-Well, y-yeah, but I wanted to say it," Futaba said.

"Very well then," I said. "I guess Futaba's the new leader."

"Wait, what?!" Futaba questioned, clearly alarmed.

"I'm just kidding!" I said with a smile. "Now then, onward!"

Futaba looked a little relieved that she wasn't gonna be made the new leader. I then remembered that she wasn't the outgoing social type at this point, and that she was still rather shy. I frowned, remembering how I too was the same way. But, by the time we get to August 30th, that'll be different, since we'll be traveling all around Japan.

The Phantom Thieves and I entered the hideout, before I pulled out my phone. I wasn't sure if what I was about to would impact the story majorly, but I wanted to do something. "Question, does everybody here have EMMA on their phones?" I asked the Thieves.

"Um, no," Ryuji admitted, before the responses varied. So far, only I and Futaba had it, in which I got it this morning, while Futaba must've gotten it earlier than me.

"I recommend we all get it, since the app happens to be quite useful," I told them. "Plus, there's something I want to show you all."

"Okay," Ryuji said before they all downloaded it.

"Everybody got it?" I asked.

"Yeah," they all said.

"Good." I looked at the phone. "EMMA, enter code 'Wonderland'."

"Beginning navigation," EMMA said, which confused everyone, before suddenly, we were all in the Meta-Verse, everyone shifting into their Thief Attire.

I also felt dizzy, and wanted to violently throw up. Sadly, I couldn't.

"Wh-What the?!" Ryuji questioned. "I-Is this a joke?!" He was looking at everyone. "You're all in your thief attire!"

"You are too!" Morgana said. I walked to the side, and observed where we were. Looks like we were at the Shibuya station, just where we'd enter the jail in the normal game.

"Joker, how did you know about this?" Futaba had asked me.

I was silent, before looking at them. "I… I can't say…"

"What do you mean you can't say?!" Ryuji questioned.

"So… How should I put this…" I paused. I didn't exactly know how to put this. "Um…" I guess a simple greeting would do. "Hi. I'm not Joker, or Ren, or whatever his name was."

They were silent. "Is this a joke?" Ryuji asked.

"Nope!" I said. "Now let's go save the world again since apparently you guys saved it once!"

"He's not joking…" Yusuke noted.

"Who are you?" Ann asked, which made the thieves more alert, and it made them get ready, as if they were about to fight shadows.

"I mean no harm, since this predicament was kinda forced onto me against my will," I answered. "So please don't hurt me."

"Oh yeah? Why should we believe that?!" Ryuji questioned, clearly wanting to beat the shit out of me.

"Because I know what's gonna happen!" I said. "Think of it like this! I'm an Isekai anime protagonist!"

"I don't even know what that means!" Ryuji said.

"Oh, it's basically where a character it transported into another world, either by force or by will, so it's possible that he could've been brought here by force, but we don't necessarily know that yet," Futaba said.

"Whatever the case, he knows who we are… so he could be telling the truth," Morgana said. "He did know that you guys were there in Leblanc. Plus, he knew EMMA could do this…"

"How can EMMA even bring us into the Meta-Verse?" Makoto questioned. "Does it have the Meta-Nav built into it or something?"

"EMMA has been experimented on," I answered. "And it's been given cognitive science by Madicce, so this is actually all EMMA right here." They all looked at me alarmed. "Now, since I'm not Joker, I believe it's best if we return to Leblanc. We shouldn't stay here for so long. There is a storyline I wish to follow." I started scratching the back of my head. "Let's hope I didn't just fuck it over…"

"Heading back does sound like a good idea, especially since we don't have much information about this place, and we need to know what will happen if you really can provide us with what's going on," Makoto said.

"However, one wrong move and I will hit you!" Ryuji threatened.

"Fine by me," I said. "I'm a wimp anyways, so it's best if I get used to the hang of violence anyways."

It took a good hot minute to explain everything that's been going on across Japan at this time. But I left out a few details that we didn't need to discuss, such as Sophia, Zenkichi, and Ichinose. They also didn't need to know about Owada and Madicce's connections, and also about EMMA being the real enemy here. Needless to say, they were quite surprised about what was about to happen.

"This is crazy!" Ryuji exclaimed. "There is no 'effin way that this is all that's gonna happen!"

"I'll admit, it is a little bit hard to believe," Makoto agreed.

"But if it is true…" Haru began, since I did tell them about all the Monarchs we'd face, minus Akane and Konoe, which means she knew about Mayor Hyodo, or Mari-san as she called her.

"The Phantom Thieves got a lot on their plate," Morgana finished.

"Yeah…" I said. "I think for now… we should play with the story, and go along with the time frames."

"Really? Even after all that you just told us?" Ryuji questioned.

"Why yes," I said. "We gain a few important allies this way, so we kinda need to follow the story."

"Well, I guess we can follow through with it," Yusuke said. "I really would like to explore all of Japan and see so many of the historical sites while we take down the Monarchs and Jails."

"Oh, right, the Jails. I forgot to mention one thing," I began.

"And what would that be?" Ann asked.

"They won't fall down, even after we defeat the Monarchs," I said. "Not until we beat the final boss, on August 29th."

"Wait, so we're exploring Japan for a whole month?!" Yusuke asked, surprised and clearly excited.

"Yes," I answered. "To me, this also exciting." I smiled. "I'm gonna try so many Japanese dishes!"

"Wait, are you not from Japan… um…" Haru began, but wasn't sure what to call me.

"Lego," I said. "Just call me Lego. It's an alias I tend to use so people don't know my real name. And no. I'm actually from North America."

"Woah, that's quite the distance," Futuba said.

"Yes it is," I said. "But I should be able to get home once this journey is over."

"Well, that's somewhat promising," Ryuji said, still not trusting me all that much.

"Now, it's time for the most important question of all," I began. Everyone looked at me as I tried to look serious. "Isn't Morgana a cat?"

"THAT'S IMPORTANT?!" They all exclaimed.

Sorry if the characters seem too different from the originals, I'm still trying my best. Plus, this is gonna have some humor, some serious stuff, and also just so I can mess around.
