Warning: Spoilers for WN16/LN15

Setting: Nanahoshi is reincarnated as Rushia, the daughter of Paul and Zenith, meanwhile Earthdeus is teleported the same way Nanahoshi did in the original story.

Man-god had appeared to me in dream that night. I did my best to not show distrust towards him, I didn't want him to believe I was already fully on Orsted side. For this reason he told me to not trust Orsted, to go against him, to hinder him because he will kill me and he only wants the destruction of this world or whatever.

It's a given that I didn't believe him one bit.

Sure, Orsted isn't the most talkative person in the world and, apparently, he also had a curse that made people tremble with fear in his vicinity, which amazed me most of all when I saw it first hand when the Princess and her guard Eris tried to attack him when they saw him in my studio. Apparently, his curse managed to affect them as they were passing by in the hallway.

But he was trustworthy. He was just a very quiet and tense guy who never let his guard down and was always thinking about how to get things to go his way. I had been very little with him, but when he could ask me to do things, he never killed anyone. I don't know about when he didn't ask me, but I assumed he probably didn't have much choice because of his curse, but I was already working on a way to at least reduce its effects.

Sometimes he kind of reminded me of an otaku from my class, always quiet and tight, most people didn't even try to approach him because he always had a scary vibe, but he wasn't really that bad and he was always at the top of the class. Of course, Orsted was cuter than that guy.

W-Wait, what am I thinking? I shook my head. He's just a friend, nothing else, he's not cute at all, no, nope, not at all. He's only very big and confident and has big arms that can wrap all around me and hold me tight against his chest- No! Bad Nanahoshi! Bad! You have to focus on the research! Yes! Let's do that!"

And so, with my cheeks probably as red as a yamamomo, I returned to my research. Orsted had been sitting in the opposite end of the room that whole time and when I looked up at him I notice him staring. I quickly turned my glance away. He couldn't read my mind but he was definitely wondering what was going in my head as I continued writing down stuff with my face still hot.

If this were an anime, he'd ask me if I had a fever.
