A/N: I know, I just started the goosebumps story but I got the inspiration to do a Gravity Falls story recently after having finished the series a couple months ago. It took a while but I came up with this crossover and I hope you all enjoy it too! I know there's lots of supernatural crossovers but I wanted to do something different by allowing the two end of the world scenarios to clash. Also there are no pairings in this story, Just in case anyone came for that, lol.
Prolouge: The Gambit
Chuck Shurley, author and local God, leaned back in His seat for a moment as He stopped typing. The document currently on the computer was the newest part of the Supernatural series and the current scene was quite a doozy. It was a scene that would be impossible to forget for the fan-base all over the world. The day that Dean Winchester died.
A noble sacrifice it was, his soul traded for the life of his brother. However, poor Dean had his body turned to mulch by Lilith's hell hounds and his soul was dragged down into the pit. As Chuck wrote He knew it to be happening in real time, but this volume of the saga wouldn't be published for a while yet. He wondered how the fans were going to react to such a shocking turn of events. He was certain that everyone expected the boys to somehow come out of it unscathed, but not this time. This time there was literal hell to pay, and hell would not be denied.
Of course Dean wouldn't be dead long, there was already a plan in motion to bring the eldest Winchester brother back from the depths of hell, but no one could know about that just yet. Chuck probably wouldn't write down the explanation for dean's sudden resurgence for quite some time. Keep the fans guessing and coming up with their own theories. All the while, the angels would be mobilizing, knowing that a righteous man was banished to hell and knowing just what it could mean for the future. The demons were going to guard their prize jealously, but it would work out in the end and then the real fun would start.
Yes everything was coming along as He had planned out all those millennia ago. As it is in heaven so shall it be on earth. The apocalypse was coming and all those with the power were going to make sure it happened…
And yet there were a couple wild cards He couldn't count on to play their role. God could see infinite future possibilities, so many paths that could all lead to the same road. Everything always lead to the same end but there was a feeling in the pit of His stomach, something He wasn't quite ready for, something over looked that He couldn't quite place His finger on. Perhaps it was Sam and Dean themselves as they had been known to take paths that weren't quite what he envisioned, or maybe it was something more.
One might think that it would be devastating to God that His plans could be foiled by anything, but it was not so here. Here it was… if He was honest with Himself, intriguing, surprising and that made it all the more exciting to watch what was going to come next.
Before He knew it the deity with the human alias was dozing, his eyes closing for a brief moment as he slumped in his computer chair. Suddenly however, He could sense something wrong. Snapping His eyes open, He found the world had leeched itself of color. Grey tones stared back at Him from everywhere and the sense of foreboding increased. A presence suddenly engulfed the space, vast and calculating. Unseen, yet felt.
Perhaps what was most concerning of all was that Chuck could not sense Raphael making a move to smite whatever interloper had dare to invade His mind.
"WELL, WELL, WELL, LOOK WHAT WE GOT HERE! GOD ALMIGHTY PLAYING HOOKING AMONG HIS CREATIONS." Sneered a voice that reverberated around the room, seemingly coming from both nowhere and everywhere.
Chuck felt the hair on the back of his neck rise. No one knew who He really was, not a single being in this universe would know except for maybe Death. Though the odds of the father of all reapers blabbing was scarce at best.
"Um... I'm sorry, I think you got me confused." The disguised deity responded with a awkward chuckle, slipping into his nervous and dorky persona with practiced ease.
"OH, I DON'T THINK SO," the voice drawled before there was a flash of light. It was blinding in its intensity for the moment it was there before Chuck was suddenly face to face with a glowing golden triangle with a hat and bow tie. Skinny black limbs protrude from its form in some mockery of arms and legs.. A single large eye in the center of its body was the only facial feature and it stared down mockingly. "YOU MAY HAVE EVERYONE ELSE FOOLED BUT NOT ME!"
In all His eons of existence not once had God every seen a creature like this. It was not one He had made and therefore it was unpredictable and dare he say… exhilarating. Still, he would not give up the game yet, this could interesting.
"Seriously, I just write stories for a living, I'm not... some all knowing God." He tried, sounding perfectly innocent. Chuck even threw in a laugh for good measure, as if the very thought was ludicrous.
"OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT ALL KNOWING, THAT WOULD BE MY DEPARTMENT." The creature… smiled? Perhaps that was the expression it tried to convey, it was hard to tell. "AND BECAUSE I'M ALL KNOWING, OF COURSE I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU."
The creatures voice dropped an octave, the sound rattling the still world around them as images flashed over the creatures body, ancient scenes that no one alive should be privy to. People that hadn't been alive for millennia, ravaged worlds no longer existing, and the beginning of it all. Magical artifacts lost to time, titans He had created and were forced to dispose of or lock away. So many scenes or wrath and destruction, the fall of Lucifer and the humans age of war.
It sent a shudder down the spine of God who was forced to look away. Both fear and excitement warred within Him over what he had just seen. Yhis creature didn't just know Him, it knew Him. With an admittedly shaky breath He eye'd the creature again.
"So… you got me, I'm God." Chuck finally admitted, deciding to drop the pointless act with a shrug as he leaned back in his chair, crossing his hands over his stomach. "What do you want?"
"WHAT DO I WANT, HUMMMMM..." The creature stroked under its eye as if it was rubbing its chin. "HOW ABOUT YOU CALLING OFF YOUR WHOLE APOCALYPSE THING."
God blinked. Call off the end of the world, the one thing he had left to look forward to now that he had gotten bored of creations. The last thing that could give him some semblance of joy and excitement now that he had grown tired of this world and all that was in it.
"Now why would I do that?" He asked, genuinely curious why some interloper would care so much about the fate of this world.
"WEEEELL, YOU SEE I MAY HAVE MY OWN PLANS FOR THIS DIMENSION. PLANS THAT I'VE HAD COOKING FOR A LONG, LONG TIME. I'D HATE TO HAVE THEM RUINED JUST BECAUSE THE LOCAL DEITY GOT SICK OF HIS TOYS."
"Now that's a little harsh, I just want to shake things up a bit."
"THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE FOR," The triangle replied his hands on his angles as a human would have on their hips. "LIBERATION OF THIS DIMENSION FROM THE RULES OF REALITY. YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BIT OF SPONTANEITY AND YOU CAN'T GET BETTER ANYONE BETTER. BELIEVE ME, I KNOW HOW TO THROW A PARTY!"
"So you want me to stop Armageddon because you have your own plan for the end of the world." Chuck summed up, a little shocked that he knew nothing about this. He saw nothing about this creature or its plans and that was simply impossible.
"I CALL IT WEIRDMAGEDDON. CATCHY ISN'T IT?"
"Quite," God said with a bark of laughter.
"SO HOW ABOUT IT OLD MAN?" The triangle asked looking expectant.
"…Mmmm, no." Chuck replied after a moment. The creature blinked once, twice and then seemed to grow agitated.
"Don't get me wrong, your idea sounds fun and all but I've had this ordained since the beginning of time. As we speak thousands of demons are getting ready to mobilize the second the first seal breaks, and believe me it will break. I can't wait to see what happens."
"HERE I THOUGHT YOU HAD IT ALL PLANNED OUT, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS?"
"That's the fun part!" Chuck stood, taking a nearby Supernatural novel and holding it up. "I have no idea what these two are capable of. My two keys to the apocalypse never do what I want them to no matter how many endings I have foreseen they defy my expectations. They… bring me joy to watch. You can't tell me you don't have people like that."
The creature was silent for a while, its eye stared deeply into Chuck's own.
"I GUESS THEY CAN BE ENTERTAINING WHEN THEY AREN'T GETTING IN THE WAY."
Intriguing, there were people who knew of this things existence, yet He did not. How had this flown under the radar? Was He so out of touch with everything and so focused on is own stories that it slipped by?
"So you understand why I won't let you have your 'Weirdmageddon' then."
"HA!" The creature suddenly laughed. "WONT LET ME? I WASN'T ASKING PERMISSION, I JUST WANTED TO INFORM YOU THAT YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE STAKING CLAIM TO THIS DIMENSION."
"You have no claim, I made this universe and I can destroy it whenever it pleases me."
Chuck could tell He was getting on the creatures nerves as the triangle flickered crimson. It seemed to take a moment for the thing to calm down fully and when it finally did it reach up and straitened its bow tie.
"I'VE BEEN AROUND A LOT LONGER THAN YOU YA KNOW. I WAS DESTROYING UNIVERSES BEFORE YOU EVEN EXISTED." It's body flickered again with scenes that not even God could really catch but what he could was bizarre. He honestly had a hard time fathoming that something had been around in another universe before this one. He was the beginning and end of creation or at least… he was supposed to be.
"TELL YOU WHAT," The triangle spoke up suddenly. "LET'S MAKE A BET TO SPICE THINGS UP."
That was not what Chuck had been expecting. "What kind of bet?" He asked warily, he wasn't sure playing games with something somehow older than Him was a wise idea.
"MY HUMANS AGAINST YOURS, MY WEIRDMAGEDDON AGAINST YOUR APOCALYPSE. A BATTLE TO SEE WHO CAN UNLEASH THEIR PLAN FIRST."
"You want a race, with the humans as obstacles."
"OBSTACLES, PAWNS, HOWEVER YOU WANNA USE THEM."
Chuck let out a breath through His nose. This thing wasn't going to go away anytime soon unless He agreed to this ludicrous proposal, but at the same time, God wouldn't deny He was interested. He couldn't foresee anything this creature would do and who knew how it would interfere if He didn't agree.
"I should at least get your name if we're making a bet about the fate of the universe."
"OH YEAH!" The creature snapped its fingers like it had actually forgotten to introduce itself this whole time. "NAMES BILL CIPHER. SO, WE HAVE A DEAL?"
Blue flames erupted from the creature- Bill's, hand as he reached out towards God.
After a long moment of staring into the azure tongues of flame, Chuck let out a soft chuckle.
"Deal."
