Danny really didn't know what he might have gotten himself into when he agreed to help his friend from his college days, when he asked him to help him with some Zeta-Tubes. Don't get him wrong, but when he was offered the opportunity for this and at least once in his life to legally see how far mankind managed to get in this field of technology, he was not going to complain. So he was very happy when he was picked up by the aforementioned friend by his car, so later it could turn out that they were picked up by... the Justice League itself. (Well, at least part of it considering only Batman and Aquaman were there!)

Nevertheless, the moments he remembered his co-workes while he was still working in S.T.A.R. laboratories, joked that his friend allegedly knew the heroes themselves were... you know, just jokes.

But it was quite another thing, when with the very own eyes one could see Batman himself standing quite proudly, after measuring him with his eyes and giving him his famous Bat glare (Danny could swear that the moment his inner spirit saw it, he was scared to the bone, and he was supposed to make others spooked here!), so that later, only after nodding his head, he could turn around and tell him to follow him, he thought that he was going to have a heart attack.

A quiet, mocking laugh at Allen's side and, as it turned out later Aquamen too did not help him at all, but only made him blush even more, which he had to hide, because if it turned out that his blush was a bit in shade of green, it would immediately become suspicious.

This is how (Surprisingly later without more major disturbances) he found himself with his colleague who was a few years older than him, who as soon as they crossed the cleverly hidden entrance, said that there was no need to delay and when they received needed instructions on what to they had to check in, they immediately get to work. It turned out that they were preparing Mount Justice for use, which was supposed to be the new headquarters for a new generation of superheroes, but it wasn't that this information even bothered him in the slightest.

First, of course, they had to refresh some of the rooms a bit and clean up because this place looked like from some horror movie where abandoned warehouses played the main role. However, when they dealt with everything they had, they breathed a sigh of relief when they get over it pretty quickly. It took them three days (But sometimes other heroes came to the rescue, mainly Red Tornado and Black Canary, who said that they would be responsible for a group of young people in the base itself, so they also wanted to give something back in this renovation with others), before they could start their main purpose because of which which they came here, so that on their fifth day of hard work it could've been almost completed.

Currently, he was dealing alone with some cables tangled in all directions, which he first had to sort and then connect so that the main power supply could finally work properly. Allen may have been with him up to some point, but unfortunately he had to urgently go somewhere afterwards because he had been called (As if it were the first time in these five days!), but Danny realized from his own experience that it was not easy to deal with as an employee of one of the largest laboratories in the world.

This is how he spent his last few hours during these days, constantly working, forgetting to take a break to eat from time to time, for which he was reprimanded mainly by Black Canary (And sometimes other heroes like Green Lantern who was still his favourite hero even thought he was twenty-six!), only to quickly grab a bagel and return immediately to work.

He was in euphory when, literally a few minutes before someone powered up all this machinery to motion, he finished fighting with all this equipment so he could only sit down and take a sip of water from the bottle he had got at some point from the aforementioned woman.

Getting up, he stretched his back, adjusted his shirt which was stained here and there with black stains from the liquid that was leaking from some suspicious tank and putting on an already dirty smock, he gathered all his things to be able to go towards the exit.

So what a surprise it must have been for him when instead of finding Barry waiting for him there, who was supposed to take him from this place and finally take him home after such a long time (He won't lie but he missed his sweet, oh sweet bed and especially Cujo, which visited the retired hero from time to time), he saw only a handful of superheroes who stood among the guessing new generation of young heroes and began to show them around this huge place.

It would be a lie that he didn't panic even a little bit when he saw them. They might have considered him some burglar! He guessed he would be able to deal with a few heroes, but not with the whole crowd! Hell, maybe Black Canary and the Red Tornado next to her will be able to recognize him, but anyway! Where was Barry when you needed him the most?!

"Wait, who is this?" Immediately, when a young voice said these words, he felt on him a dozen or so pairs of eyes piercing him through, giving him at the same time a lot of shivers down his back. Swallowing loudly and in the meantime squinting his eyes, throwing them the most innocent smile he could, he raised one of his hands up to wave it lightly, trying to announce that he was looking for no trouble.

"Team, meet Danny who is responsible for the main help in bringing the Justice Mountain back to life, it was he and another scientist who helped to check that everything was working as it should." Danny knew he didn't know Canary herself at all, but he could have sworn he would thank her on his knees at this point for saving him from unwanted stares.

After she spoke these words, he could hear a few nice sentences in the room directed at him (Although not from everyone, the kid in black with the Supermen symbol looked like he was about to kill him with his eyes-) so that Batman could with one simple clear throat get their attention again.

"Danny was called here at the request of my close friend who works in S.T.A.R laboratories." A close friend?! Barry will have a lot to explain when he finally gets out of here, Danny won't let him go this time that easily!

"From tomorrow he will be responsible for helping with electronics so to the system could work correctly, along with Red Tornado and others."

"What?!"

Oh God, what did he get himself into?
