This is a piece of poetry based on the great horror classic, Dracula. I don't own Dracula or any of its characters, places, etc. I hope you all will enjoy this poem.
A Transylvanian Fate
Upon an eerie path through patchy fog
While riding on the carriage of dread through stormy thunder
One shall come abroad the castle of death through crackling lightning
'Til which time one shall quake in terrible fright
Upon the sloping steps of a fate unknown for certain to the wayward traveler
You shall walk upon the steps in darkness and when you reach the door
It shall open wide with a resounding creak
You enter slowly with a frosty chill down your reverberating spine
As if something inhuman is somehow pulling you to come ever closer
The door slams with a resounding rumble and torches begin to flare unexpectedly
The great hall comes alive before your very eyes and you are astonished beyond belief
With a snap of dead fingers, a figure appears out of the gloom
Standing before you is an entity of great evil and terrible sin
A being of intolerable cruelty beyond mortal constraints will ever allow
A creature from time immemorial, immortal and forever strong-willed beyond reproach
In a sultry and indomitable voice, he speaks his spell of eternal darkness and deadly venom
"Come forward, wayward traveler of a far away land. Hear the music of my children and be swept into eternal life and youthful spirit through the nights to come forever more."
You walk closer into his threshold of eternal dread as his children are howling in ecstasy and lustful delight
Through a small bite to your jugular and a silent scream inside your sinful soul, you are his unwilling slave
This is the fate of all who dare to enter the ancient and monstrous land of Transylvania
Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I'm back for my fellow readers and writers everywhere! I appreciate you guys and gals being very patient with me. Between issues with the pandemic and dealing with things at home and among friends, I had almost forgotten my writing talent. I hope you have enjoyed this addition to my repertoire. I hope to write some more stuff in the foreseeable future. Be very patient with me and I will publish stuff as soon as I possibly can! Thank you all for reading and reviewing my stuff.
