(A/N: Oh, you would not believe the stuff I've been coming up with! I got this idea while reading the last chapter of the "Super Mario Adventures" comic! This would've been kinda fun to see!)

Mario had shown up at Bowser's wedding to rescue the brainwashed Princess, and he was ready to help her escape.

"I love you, Bowser, darling... I love you, Bowser, darling..." the Princess said, oblivious to the fact that Mario had come to her rescue.

"Has she flipped out or what!?" Mario asked, completely shocked by the words that came out of the Princess' mouth. What was she thinking?!

(A/N: The comic was written back in the days when Princess Peach was still known as Princess Toadstool, so I'm just going to refer to her as the Princess in this fic, okay?)

"She has grown to love me!" Bowser declared.

Mario wasn't about to let Bowser have the Princess as his wife, nor let the Princess ruin her future by spending it with Bowser. He grabbed her up in his arms, but Bowser was sending his troops after Mario.

"Wait a sec!" Mario said to himself. He thought about what the Princess had said. She'd never say that she loved Bowser, and she wouldn't call him 'darling'. At least not willingly. She must've been under a spell. But if she was, how was he gonna break it? He'd never broken a spell before.

But hold everything! There was one thing he could try. He'd only seen it work in Disney movies, but it'd probably work here. And besides, this spell had to do with love. However, Mario didn't know if the Princess returned his feelings. He loved her, but did she love him? He was sure this method would work only if she loved him back. Well, there was no time like the present to find out how she really felt!

The troops froze when they saw what Mario did next. He held the Princess close to him and kissed her on the lips! They never expected him to do that, especially when they thought he knew that the Princess loved Bowser now. They didn't know that she was under a spell.

"You idiots! I said 'seize him'! He's going to ruin everything!" Bowser shouted, which surprised the troops.

"How so?" asked one Troopa.

"Doesn't she love you?" asked another Troopa.

"YES!" Bowser replied, angry.

"Then why are you so upset?" asked the second Troopa.

"Because then she'll fall in love with him instead! And he can't have her!" Bowser said. No way was he going to tell them what the real problem was: the Princess was under a spell, and Mario was going to break it by kissing her!

They didn't see it, and neither did Mario, but the Princess was coming out of the spell. She was more than surprised to find herself in Mario's arms, and that he was kissing her! But what was she doing in a wedding dress? She didn't care. All she knew was, Mario returned her feelings! Joyfully, the Princess wrapped her arms around Mario's neck and started to return the kiss, letting him know that she loved him back.

It didn't take long for Mario to realize what was going on, and he was so happy that he poured more love into the kiss, letting the Princess know how he truly felt. And she was only too happy to respond to that.

That's when the troops saw that Bowser was apparently right.

"Oh... look at that... He was right..." said the first Troopa.

"Why didn't you listen to me?! Now look what happened!" Bowser screamed.

"How were we supposed to know that she was going to fall madly in love with him?" asked the first Troopa.

"You should've! Do you have any idea what you just cost me?! She would've been my wife, and I would've been ruling the Mushroom Kingdom!" Bowser yelled.

Mario and the Princess heard that, and they stopped kissing as Mario set the Princess on her feet.

"Yes, she would've been your wife, but in the most unfair way, you nimrod! You brainwashed her! Her mind was not her own when you did that! Besides, spells never last forever! She would've come to her senses sooner or later!" Mario said.

"What did he do to me?!" the Princess asked Mario.

Mario started whispering something in her ear, and while Bowser could not hear what Mario was saying, he could tell by the expression on the Princess' face that it wasn't very nice.

Mario had been telling the Princess, "It's a long story, Princess. Bowser decided that he wanted to rule your kingdom by marrying you, but you weren't having any of it. So I guess he decided to cast a spell on you to make you fall in love with him and marry him without a fuss."

The look the Princess was giving Bowser after that was cold enough to make Lethal Lava Land freeze over!

"Do something!" Bowser yelled, and the hypnotist appeared, attempting to try and make the Princess remember that she loved Bowser.

Mario anticipated this and pulled out a hand-mirror. The spell hit the mirror and was reflected back at the hypnotist! Now the hypnotist was in love with Bowser!

"Ohh, this is not good..." Bowser said when he saw the hypnotist looking at him the way the Princess did when she was under the spell.

However, things were about to get much worse for Bowser. The Yoshis that had been turned into eggs by the hypnotist earlier that day were all freed by Yoshi and Luigi, and they were stampeding towards the wedding!

Bowser saw this, and upon realizing that things had gotten worse, he decided to use what had happened to the hypnotist to his advantage.

"Hey, you love me right?" Bowser asked the hypnotist.

"Of course I do, cutie..." the hypnotist replied, lovesick.

"Great! Then you wouldn't mind handling the Yoshis like you did earlier, right?" Bowser asked.

"Well, I don't know..." the hypnotist said.

"Please, for me?" Bowser tried, hoping the hypnotist would do it.

"Okay, but only 'cause I love you so much." the hypnotist agreed, giving Bowser a loving smile before heading out there to stop the Yoshi stampede.

But he never got the chance to stop it. He got trampled by the Yoshis, and now he was as flat as a flapjack, unable to do anything.

"Ohhhhh! That does it! That's the final straw! I've had it up to here with you, Mario! You ruined EVERYTHING!" Bowser shouted, and he looked like he was gonna really give it to Mario!

Before he could lunge at Mario and punch his lights out, the Princess got in front of Mario, protecting him.

"Get out of the way, Princess!" Bowser told her.

"No! If you're going to kill Mario, you'll have to kill me first!" the Princess said.

"I'm not going to kill you! Now move it, missy!" Bowser said.

"Look Bowser, Mario is my other, better half. If you kill him, but not me, then I'm going to kill myself! I mean it!" the Princess threatened.

"Ha! Yeah, right! Like you'd ever do it! If you die, then guess what?! The Mushroom Kingdom is as good as mine! And your subjects will all die!" Bowser said.

"That's where you're wrong. If Mario dies, then I'm appointing Luigi to rule in my place." the Princess said.

"What?!" Luigi asked. He never expected to hear the Princess say such a thing. As much as he liked the idea that the Princess was appointing him, he didn't think he'd make a very good ruler. Mario would be the better fit. But if Mario was dead and the Princess killed herself, then he'd have to do as she said.

"Why are you involving Luigi in this?!" Mario asked the Princess in a whisper.

"You'll see why in a minute." the Princess whispered back.

"You know what? I'll go finish him off first, so then you can't appoint anyone else to rule in your stead when you die." Bowser said, and off he went to go take out Luigi, forgetting about Mario entirely.

"Mario! Help me!" Luigi cried.

"I'm on it, bro!" Mario exclaimed, glad that the Princess made Bowser forget about him.

The next thing Bowser knew, he was attacked from behind by Mario, and the Princess joined him. They were going to see to it that Bowser suffered for this.

The troops and Koopalings knew they should go over there and help, and they were more than ready to.

When Luigi saw Bowser's allies coming, he said to the Yoshis, "Hold them off!" Then he helped Mario and the Princess beat up the big bad Koopa King.

The Yoshis went after the Koopalings and the troops, who ran screaming into the castle and locked the doors, too afraid to come out. Helping Bowser was not an option right now, not when a gigantic Yoshi herd was standing on the other side of that door. If they opened the door so much as a crack, that'd be the end of them!

After a half-hour, Mario, Luigi, and the Princess decided to take a break and observe the damage done to Bowser. I'm not going to go into details, but I will tell you that Bowser looked to be in the worst shape he had ever been in.

"Is he dead?" the Princess asked.

"No, I don't think so." Luigi said.

"It looks like he's going to be unconscious for a day, or a week. I'm hoping it's the latter, though." Mario said.

"Shouldn't we finish him off?" Luigi asked.

"We should, but he does have 7 little brats to think about." Mario said.

"So you're suggesting we let him off for the sake of his kids." the Princess said.

"Pretty much." Mario said.

"I don't care. Right now, I just wanna go back to the Mushroom Kingdom for a well-deserved rest." Luigi said.

"You know what? I agree with him. I wanna go home, too." the Princess said.

"Okie-dokie. Let's-a go home, for we did the most important thing: we saved the Princess from a fate worse than death." Mario said.

"And for doing so, you deserve a reward!" the Princess said.

"What kind of reward?" Mario asked.

"This kind!" the Princess said, and she gave Mario a big kiss on the cheek, making him blush like a madman!

Then they returned to the Mushroom Kingdom to recuperate after all the problems Bowser had caused.

The End

Okay, that was quite the one-shot! I felt the need to get this one out of my system, and I'm glad I did. At least that way we would've seen Mario and the Princess kiss. I hope you liked it!
