If Gaston Were Humane

What if Gaston wasn't so violent? A retelling of Beauty and the Beast where Gaston isn't a hunter or war veteran. Starts at the scene where Gaston, Maurice, and LeFou are in the woods.

1. Chapter 1

"Sorry, old bean. That's no way to talk to my future father-in-law."

"Future father-in-law? You will never marry my daughter."

Maurice was suddenly overcome with a wave of sleepiness. LeFou ran over to him and caught him from behind before he could fall on his back and hurt himself.

"What's happening?" said Maurice.

"The tea. I laced it with a sedative," said LeFou gently laying him down. "I'm sorry, Maurice. Gaston told me to."

Maurice wanted to ask why, but before he could, he was fast asleep. Gaston's plan, of course, was to kidnap Maurice and claim he had gone missing. Gaston thought with no one to take care of her, Belle will be forced to marry him.

A/N: No, I have not abandoned Stranded, I'm just having a bit of a writer's block on that particular story. I will continue it, I promise, and maybe be working on both stories simultaneously.
