It was a very bad situation for Daphne Blake. She was on her way to a fashion shoot that was being taken across the India jungles. Everything was great for the time being as she sat in her private plane all belonging to her parents. She had the money and entitlement to do anything she desired and have the influence to get anything she wanted.
One of her dream choices was to become a model and she started off with an absolute bang. A few photo chutes and solving some mysteries with some friends of hers made her an icon around many places of the world but as her plane flew low over the jungles there was an engine problem.
Without warning the engines went ablaze and the pilots tried to keep her calm while trying to prevent a crash landing that could be the end of them all.
The Pilots only managed to pull up the plane just enough to get it out of the nose dive but when the aircraft hit the trees everything came apart piece by piece as the plane crashed through the jungle. Daphne was strapped in tight to her chair screaming in terror believing this was it. Her young life would come to a fiery end. But when she felt the plane come to a screeching halt she opened her eyes to see the plane was a complete derelict.
It was completely destroyed and by a divine miracle she still was alive, but she was still trapped in her chair and there was fire all around. It was coming to her fast and she had to get out before the fire could harm her.
She immediately unstrapped herself and began to pull through all the rubble around her. Hanging pieces of the crafts hull was everywhere and the sharp edges tore at her clothing and her skin. Though the pain was great from the cuts and bonking her head and body in various spots she could not stop as the fire was becoming more furious by the second. She only just barely made it out through the barely opened side door of the plane just before it went up in a blaze of fire that sent thick black smoke
through the trees.
She crawled away from the burning wreckage and collapsed from both exhaustion and the deep shock she was in from barely avoiding losing her life. She laid in place upon the soft grassy ground for so long that the flames behind her on the plane eventually died down.
Daphne rolled back over and sat up. She at the plane that was once a standing symbol of her family's wealth and influence. It took her everywhere across the world and the poor pilots within never made it. She was in such a hurry to escape from it that she didn't even bother to look for them both. Looking at the front of the plane she saw it was black as night and covered with ash and from the scent of burning flesh she knew they suffered a terrible fate.
They lost their lives to make sure she lived. She didn't know them that well, but she took a few minutes to mourn their loss and thank the two that were the reason she still had her life.
After her time of mourning, she went to the plane and carefully went through the wreckage to see if anything could be of use to her. Unfortunately, most of the plane was badly incinerated. All of her luggage was burned to near ash. Just picking up one of her suitcases that had many of her clothes were so burned that they could not be worn, and some were simply unable to even be recognized as clothing.
But one piece of luggage stood out among the rest of the burnt suitcases. There was one that was made mostly of metal. A Sign upon it said "Model Outfit" that's when, Daphne recognized what it was. Inside the case was the very outfit she was going to wear at the fashion shoot. She had been told her outfit for it would be separated so it wouldn't be cramped, wrinkled or rugged for it but now it was all that she would possibly have.
She pulled the metal suitcase from the wreckage after she allowed it to cool down from the heat and opened it up to see what it was that was now the only bit of clothing she would have that wasn't burnt to a crisp.
What was within between soft leather insulation was a leopard style spot printed bikini. A Pair of panty bottoms and a one-way strap top. And sitting at the corner of the suitcase was a pink petal flower that was the accessory she was going to put on with the bikini at the fashion shoot.
Since she was in the middle of the jungle and with the only humans that were around were deceased she slipped out of her torn and mangled outfit and put on the bikini and placed the flower in her hair.
She wished she had a mirror to look upon herself. Daphne wasn't one to always brag upon her beauty, but she always strived to make herself look proper and decent. The Bikini itself felt rather comfortable and wasn't too tight or loose.
The Young woman felt rather wonderful. The Air was humid, and the sun was bearing down on her. Her being in the leopard style bikini and being in the middle of the jungle made her feel like a jungle girl. She had taken many survival courses as her world travels required her to always have knowledge of what to do in dire situations and having been in some mysteries that required her to take defensive action she was prepared to face a challenge.
Though her condition concerned her she believed the pilots had to have sent out a distress call and it would take some time for someone to come find her. She would have to survive till she finds a rescue team that would come for her. Taking a breath of courage, she ran into the jungle leaving the wreckage of the plane behind and took the first step towards survival.
Several Days later...
"This is fun!" Daphne beamed as she leaped from a vine grabbing onto another and swung about in the jungle. For the past few days, she was surviving quite well for someone of her class. Most would consider ones such as her to be helpless and inconvenient to even last an hour in a jungle. But Daphne was not like most.
She had taken more than just survival courses. She had taken self defense classes. Was one of the top students when she went through college and had a clear understanding of what one has to do when in need to survive in a hostile environment.
Daphne cried out in laughter as she flung from the vine she was upon landing on a long hanging branch. "And I stuck the landing!" She posed as if she was expecting a cheer from a crowd.
Living in the jungle for the past few days was tricky but she made it work by sleeping in the tree's keeping out of reach of any lurking predator. She had covered herself with dirt and sometimes mud to keep the bugs from bothering her and she already made a three-mile perimeter around the wreckage of the plane. If anyone came looking for her the crash is where they would
start.
"Such a wonderful day!" She smiled sitting on the branch sitting in the canopy of the trees. The Sun was blocked by the foliage above giving her much needed shade.
"I wonder when the rescue will come?" She asked herself. Though she had managed to survive so far it was a wonder why she had not even heard the sound of a helicopter or any vehicle come around yet. Surely if rescue was coming it would have come by now.
Daphne shrugged her shoulders. "It shouldn't matter. I just have to keep going and everything will be fine. I'll me it through this." She told herself confidently.
Then a gurgle came from her stomach. She wrapped her right arm over her belly smiling widely. "Guess that means I better find something to eat. And I know just the thing!" She snapped her fingers standing back up.
Having gotten a good layout of the jungle within the perimeter she had set for the time being she knew where there was some fresh food that only required her to forage instead of hunt for it. Taking to the vines again she swung happily flipping in the air like an accomplished gymnast onto one vine after another swinging towards the place she knew that had food hanging from the branches of it.
Eventually she got to where she was heading. She swung upon the branch of a large tree and just off the edge of the branch was another tree and hanging just off the center of the top were bundles of bananas. Yellow as the sun itself and fresh for the taking.
Daphne carefully reached over and plucked the closest bundle off and bringing it to her side. "Time for a well-deserved lunch!" She stated as she hopped from the branch with the bundle of bananas to another larger branch.
Where she stood now she could see out more into the jungle where the trees were not as thick or covering most of the surrounding jungle. Daphne picked out a banana from the bundle as she looked out into the jungle looking a waterfall with a river flowing from it. It was an ideal spot for her as fresh water for drinking and for a good swim was. If she had a camera she would take a hundred pictures of the location as it was almost luxurious far beating a simple pool area of a five-star hotel.
"So beautiful." She sighed happily sitting on the branch peeling the peel of the banana and ate away at the contents within.
"So good too." She giggled eating the banana bit by bit till nothing, but the peel remained. She dropped the peel off the branch and continued to sit and admire the sight of the waterfall. She listened in at the constant splashing it made. It was a relaxing sound along with the whistles and hoots of the parrots and birds in the trees.
"This is a paradise. Hard to believe I considered a city one." She huffed crossing her arms and legs dangling over the side of the branch. She was rather concerned about her rescue. Though so far she has been living in the jungle just fine having found a fresh food and water source and know how stay away from predators if any were near she wouldn't be living easy like this for long. Eventually a real challenge could come her way.
For now, Daphne could only hope that whoever is searching for her they would come soon. She did miss her parents and her friends very much. She hoped they were all doing okay, and they were not worrying too much for her. They were all the best anyone could ever ask for. She knew she will see them again one way or another.
Daphne shimmed across the branch and laid upon the side of the tree pulling the bundle of banana's next to her. "A few more of these and then I think a nap is order." She suggested to herself as she had worked herself up a lot having been swinging and running about a good portion of the day trying to get a better understanding of the jungle and seeing where fresh food and water was along with stopping to observe a curious sight.
Stretching out her legs and putting her hands behind her head Daphne shut her eyes and allowed herself to doze off resting comfortably upon the branch.
