It starts back before the time of the blast where a nuclear power plant as build at the center of Crossover Hills. Whereas it was in between many cities and towns like Disneyville, Nicktropolis, Cartoon Network City, and many others as it affected tourism and the economy. The characters cartoon and life action all coexist in one harmony and like the same/different days. Everyone (expect maybe a few) all in common didn't like the idea of a nuclear power plant build in the center of their homeland.
At first, no one thought much of it, but overtime; everyone all started getting skeptical of it and that Homer Simpson was an idiot at this kind of job. It was until one day, this change everything.
Homer: Ugh, come on! I know this game should be easy!
The idiot worker Homer Simpson, was playing his game as he was raging, raving and ranting. He then accidently pushes the buttons that the nuclear power plant was getting ready to blow up. Everyone all over the cities run for their lives as much as they can. That was when the blast occur: it starting going on for so much that the radiation was twice as bad and it was about 19x worse than the average toxic waste.
After the blast, most of those who was lucky to survive resorted to whatever they can to survive in this new primitive world. Such as like looting, ravaging, ransacking, raiding and stealing wherever there are supplies, go into hiding, finding others and forming their own factions.
Those that weren't lucky (didn't die though), were either mutated, turn into monsters, resorted into primitive behavior, going savage, and/or go mental whenever they see anything they come across and look to it as food! IF that isn't bad enough: in this story will follow a white hair kid and a red cap boy in the story who do what they can do survive.
