The Rivalry Cannot Be Contained

Akira 'Wildcard' Kurusu... Goro 'Lunatic' Akechi... The two have been known to fight each other from the beginning of the Brutal Wrestling Alliance. Yet, their rivalry had to be settled through some weird matches, like really weird.

Akira stared at his glue covered hands and the bucket of broken glass in front of him.

"COME ON, WILDCARD!" The Lunatic grinned as he beckoned with his glass covered hands, ready to start sticking them into Akira's forehead.

Akira tried to figure the best way to cover his hands with broken glass so that they didn't poke him between his fingers.

The few people seated in the bingo hall leaned forward.

SHARK CAGE DEATHMATCH

Akira and Goro tried not to feel awkward as they stood nearly chest to chest in the shark cage that they had to get out. As Akira tried to shift his weight to get a little comfortable, his elbow accidentally knocked against the door. The door creaked open, the two looking at it. Akira and Goro then brawled to try and get out.

Then the cage pitched forward as some people in the crowd winced in sympathy.

Wiping away the excess water from his face, Akira stood up from the bath that Goro tried to drown him in. Turning to the nearby patron, he held up a placating hand. "Sorry about this."

Yelling and spearing Goro out of the room, the patron turned to his friend, who only shook his head. "They'll be out of here soon."

Akira stared at Goro, who was already standing on top of the makeshift platform that was suspended over the clear oxymoron that was a 'safety net' made of barbed wire. Goro gestured to Akira with a light grin.

Akira returned a half-smile as the audience cheered for him.

445 LIGHT TUBES DEATHMATCH

Akira and Goro laid on the ground, breathing heavily in the middle of the ring, pieces of all 445 shattered light tubes strewn throughout and even stuck in their bodies and wounds as the audience clapped and cheered. Wiping some blood away, Goro turned to Akira, sporting his own crimson mask. Slowly but surely, Goro began to laugh like a madman, soon joined by Akira.

Akira's laughter slowed down first.

HELLFIRE DEATHMATCH

Akira and Goro were pulled from the raging fire that was the ring, serious burns covering their body. As people began to pour water on them, one of the nearby producers wondered if wrapping the ropes of the rings with kerosene doused rags and setting them ablaze really was the brightest idea.

Either way, Goro was conscious enough to see some red haired woman come out from the crowd to fret over Akira.

PIRANHA DEATHMATCH

Goro was alone in the ring with the tank filled with piranhas. After a few more minutes, the announcer announced that Akira had refused to show up and that Goro was the winner. The crowd booed and even threw some garbage.

All the while, Goro stared at the entranceway, his face neutral.

KING OF THE ROAD MATCH

Akira and Goro tried to balance as the truck they were on met a curve. As Goro fell over, Akira tried to take another step towards the bell on the back of the truck to end the match. Suddenly, Goro smacked him in the back of the head with a nearby bundle of hay. Falling onto a knee, Akira got caught in a headlock by Goro. Struggling for a little bit, the two fell back into a pile of hay.

For a brief moment, nothing could be heard from the back of the 18 wheeler, before Goro shouted.

"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED?!"

SUMIRE KURUSU ON A FORKLIFT MATCH

With one last punch, Akira knocked Goro off the top turnbuckle and onto the hard ground on the outside. Standing up on the top turnbuckle and staring down at the prone Goro, Akira let out a warrior's cry before jumping off. Flying through the air, he landed on Goro, stomping on his sternum before flipping back.

"COUP DE GRACE!"

The two laid still on the ground, breathing heavily. Then, summoning some strength inside him, Akira crawled on his forearms to the forklift. Getting inside, he nearly fell on top of the controls, lowering the forklift and ending the match. Sumire freed herself before running over to check on Akira. As she fretted, Akira nodded, assuring her he was fine.

Both didn't notice Goro staring at the two of them.

'WINNER GAINS CUSTODY OF SADAO KURUSU' LADDER MATCH

With a shout of determination, Sumire pushed the ladder down. Goro yelled as he lost his grip, falling off the ladder to the outside, crashing through two set up tables before lying still underneath all the debris. Picking it back up, the red haired woman set it up just in time for Akira to scramble up the ladder and retrieve the briefcase containing the custody papers.

Holding it up high, the bell rang as he jumped down, joining Sumire as the two left the ring. Coming nearby to a blonde haired man and woman with a red haired boy, Akira and Sumire group hugged together. Holding them together for a little while, Akira broke the hug as he told the others that he was going to be back.

Running over to the prone Goro, he threw off the pieces of debris that covered him and grabbed his shirt. Pulling it off Goro, he looked at the words that were emblazoned across the front.

'I'M YOUR OYAJI!'

Ripping it in two, Akira took one last look at Goro before walking away.

'I QUIT' MATCH

The crowd flinched at the sound of steel smashing skull. While they have seen much more painful things, there was something about the scene that… horrified them. Another flinch accompanied another crack of steel meeting skull.

Sumire and the children already left the arena.

Goro smashed the steel chair directly into Akira's face for the eleventh time, taking a deep breath as he dropped the chair. A moment later, Akira flopped to the ground, crimson masked and hands handcuffed behind him. Taking a microphone nearby, Goro held it close to Akira's mouth.

"What do you say?"

"...I quit."

The bell rang as Goro held out the key for the handcuffs to the official. As soon as Akira was freed, he stood up a bit unsteadily. Goro stood to the side as Akira slowly straightened up. With a look that could kill, Akira leaned in and whispered something before running after his family.

Goro stood alone, looking like he lost something he only now knew he valued.

AKIRA "REBEL" KURUSU VS SUGURU "THE KING" KAMOSHIDA
NO ROPE ELECTRIFIED BARBED WIRE SWIMMING POOL DYNAMITE DOUBLE HELL DEATHMATCH

Kamoshida laughed as he punched Akira in the gut while a goon held him in a full nelson, the three on the edge of the platform overlooking the water. Over where the audience were, the General Manager of the Martial Wrestling Federation, Masayoshi Shido, smirked as he saw the end in sight, another step of assimilating the Brutal Wrestling Alliance complete. Nearby, Sumire Kurusu and her twin daughters Mikki and Mikia had their eyes closed and hands clasped in prayer. Sadao shouted out encouragement.

Finally, Kamoshida had enough. Directing the goon, the two were about to throw Akira into the explosive laced water. Summoning one more burst of energy, Akira stomped on Kamoshida's foot. As he cried out in pain and let go, Akira elbowed the goon in the gut before throwing him into the water. Turning away from the explosion, he ducked the clothesline from Kamoshida, before dropkicking him in the face.

As Kamoshida fell to the ground clutching his face, Akira put some space between them, rolling into the ring and laying on the ground to catch his breath. A snarling Kamoshida slid into the ring and stood up straight. Before Akira could stand up, Kamoshida kneed him in the gut. Reeling from the blow, Akira couldn't resist as Kamoshida picked up him up by the hair. Turning him around, Kamoshida roared as he charged towards the electrified barbed wire with Akira in tow.

Akira was thrown into the barbed wire, crying out as he was shocked while his flesh was cut up by the barbs. Seeing Kamoshida running at him, Akira flopped inelegantly to the ground at the last moment, the fatigue too much to appreciate Kamoshida's pain as the other charged full force into electrified barbed wire.

Seeing the situation turn to their detriment, Shido frowned as he turned to the man beside him to assist Kamoshida.

The native BWA crowd booed Goro 'The Professional' Akechi as he took one of the boats and piloted it towards the makeshift island. Tying the boat down, Goro entered the ring, and stood over Akira's prone body. Akira looked up at Goro, closing his eyes before saying something.

Goro was still.

Kamoshida recovered and came close, giving Goro a meaty slap on the shoulder before passing by. His attention was fully set on Akira, so he was caught off guard when his groin suddenly erupted in pain.

The crowd was silent as they saw Goro 'The Professional' Akechi low blow Suguru 'The King' Kamoshida.

Before Kamoshida could react, Goro picked him up onto his shoulders. Walking over to the edge of the ring, Goro steadied himself before jumping off. Sitting out, Goro flipped Kamoshida off his shoulders, slamming Kamoshida down so hard the two slightly bounced off the ground. As the announcers shouted out One Winged Angel, Akira slowly moved to the edge, looking over the two. Goro stepped away, pointing to Kamoshida's prone body. Seeing the opportunity, Akira slowly and painfully stood up straight, before bellowing out loud as he jumped off the edge.

Rearing his feet as he flew, Akira stomped on Kamoshida's sternum, the Coup de Grace, before flopping on his body. The referee quickly ran over and slapped his hand on the ground once...twice...THRICE!

The bell rang out loud as the crowd erupted into cheers. Shido's face purpled as he stormed out of the ring. Sumire and the kids cheered and came over to hug Akira as he got off the boat. Returning the hug and showing the kids the shiny new belts he won, he looked up and saw Goro just about to leave.

Letting the kids hold the title belts, he walked over to Goro, before holding out his hand. Goro stared at the hand, before taking it and shook it. What he didn't expect was for Akira to pull his close and hug him. After a while, Goro hugged back, giving a solid clap on the back.

Sumire, the kids, and the crowd clapped louder.
